  1. Joshua Malina says there's a "double dose" of the podcast this week. They'll be talking about In the Shadow of Two Gunmen I & II (both parts of the ep). https://mobile.twitter.com/JoshMalina/status/780830331830083584?p=v
  2. Maggie Q starred in the CW series Nikita, which was based on the film La Femme Nikita. Last year/season she starred in the CBS series Stalker, with her now-fiancé, Dylan McDermott. That's just her TV work.
  3. James Hinchcliffe is an IndyCar race driver. He almost died following a crash in practice for the Indianapolis 500 on May 18, 2015, but he came back to win the pole position at this year's Indianapolis 500.
  4. E! News' website says Kym Johnson will fill in for Erin on BOTH tonight's performance show & tomorrow night's results show. Tom originally Tweeted he would be going solo on tonight's show. http://m.eonline.com/news/797748/kym-johnson-to-fill-in-for-erin-andrews-as-dancing-with-the-stars-co-host
  5. According to this Tweet from NBC's/MSNBC's Kate Snow, Bradley, Richard, & Mary McCormack will be on MSNBC with her at 3PM Eastern/12 Noon Pacific Time. https://mobile.twitter.com/tvkatesnow/status/780441823860973568?p=v
  6. When the pic was taken (when I was 8 or 8 1/2), yeah. But now (around 44-45 years later), not quite so much. But thanks for the compliment!
  7. This link goes to a pic of me with Arnold Palmer. I'm still amazed I can google/yahoo myself & actually have stuff besides maybe my Tweets show up. I had to Tiny URL it because the actual link is LONG. http://tinyurl.com/jslt6u6 It's among those pics taken during my trip to Bay Hill to do all the still pics & film stuff that went into promotional stuff, both overall & for specific fundraising events--like the walkathons & the Mother's March--that were part of the year I was March of Dimes National Poster Girl. This particular pic was (or was similar to the actual 1 from) the photo side of a postcard that was sent to donors thanking them & describing the work of the March of Dimes (at that time, it was fighting birth defects; in more recent years they've turned their attention to preventing premature births/babies). Under the post card wording was/were the signatures/autographs of Arnold Palmer & myself & our printed March of Dimes titles--my name was printed because when the signature had to be sent to go on the card, I was still young enough I hadn't yet learned cursive writing (or else I wasn't good enough at it yet & my Mom suggested I stick to printing it so my name was legible because it was going on something important at the time). If this pic wasn't on the postcard, it was definitely on other "campaign" materials from my year as National Poster Girl, & in local & national press.
  8. He was. He wasn't necessarily the greatest at reading from cue cards/a prompter, but still a very nice man. And, something I'd forgotten until it was just mentioned on our late local sports with his obit... It turns out he won his first professional tournament in my hometown in 1955. Back then, we actually had major league-type sports events here (the Detroit Pistons were the Pistons in my hometown first, & in the NBA at the time), as opposed to all our local teams being considered Minor League teams like now. The tournament he won here was a PGA event, the Fort Wayne Open. It was played that year on a local Elks Club Golf Course which is now part of a bigger, redesigned & renamed local course. He knew I was from here, but we never really talked about his first professional win happening here, as I remember. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Wayne_Open_(PGA_Tour_event)
  9. Yes, he was. He was another of the many celebrities I got to meet when I was March of Dimes National Poster Girl in the early 1970's. He was their Honorary National Chairman back then, & I (with my Mom) got to go to his Bay Hill Golf Club in Orlando for a few days before my year started so we could take a bunch of photos & film things with him to be used for promotional, fundraising, & other materials during the year I was Poster Girl. He'll be missed.
  10. Tom Tweeted earlier today that Erin won't be on tomorrow night's or Tuesday night's shows. Her absence is due to the unexpected death of the nephew of her partner, NHL player Jaret Stoll. Tom says he's flying solo tomorrow night (since the show will only be an hour, due to the Clinton-Trump Debate), but someone as yet unnamed will co-host with him on Tuesday's 2-hour Results Show. https://mobile.twitter.com/Tom_Bergeron/status/780154996394295296?p=v
  11. People magazine writes about the cast's (well, Mary McCormack, Joshua Malina, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, Dulé Hill & Allison Janney, anyway) visit to Ohio this weekend in support of Hillary Clinton. http://www.people.com/article/west-wing-cast-campaigns-for-hillary-clinton
  12. I hadn't thought of Jerry, or Mary in a same sex marriage, but you could be right. I also just thought of Danny & Rachel remarrying (assuming she's divorced from Stan). I hope they actually get to this storyline (presumably, if they find out this is the last season they'll do whatever they have to to do it). Last season, or the season before, I remember reading where Lenkov was talking about doing an ep where Danny & Steve end up in New Jersey for some reason, & they never got to it. By the same token he also said, somewhere I read, that he's wanted to do a thing where "original Steve/Jack Lord" somehow gets to have a scene with Alex's McGarrett for awhile now & didn't manage to use that until this season. He also said he's got other stuff he hasn't used yet that he'd like to.
  13. @LizDC posted a link to an article from Entertainment Weekly here: http://forums.previously.tv/topic/47716-s07e01-makaukau-‘oe-e-pa’ani-ready-to-play/?do=findComment&comment=2594543 which is upthread in this thread & explains what the purpose of McG talking to the CGI Jack Lord in the hospital chapel was supposed to have been. It also explains the process they went through to create the CGI. Maybe you should read it if you haven't yet.
  14. Rob Lowe Tweeted yesterday The Grinder (the eps already filmed) will be coming to Netflix. But he didn't say when. https://mobile.twitter.com/RobLowe/status/779496768803340288?p=v
  15. You're exactly right. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was born in the former Czechoslovakia/the Czech Republic & is a naturalized American. As such, she was excluded from the line of succession while running the State Department.
  16. More from People magazine: Thomas talks about his divorce. http://www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,21031662,00.html?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
  17. I've read speculation that the wedding may be Steve's sister Mary & somebody. Most sources say the couple getting married is an "unexpected" 1, & Mary's always doing "unexpected" (read "flaky") things. I'd expect Steve & "Deserted Island Lady" (@blackwing: the character's name is Lynn Downey, if you might like to use it at any point in the discussion/season... Just saying) to be getting married, at least perhaps. They're a known couple at this point; especially since we know they took their relationship "to the next level" based on stuff in the Valentine's Day ep last season. To me there are 3 legitimate couples I'd expect to marry: Danny & Melissa (aka Amber); Steve & Lynn; Chin & Abby. Other "unexpected" couples I could see marrying are Max Bergman & his longtime girlfriend, Sabrina, or Kamekona & someone we haven't met yet. Anyway... TV Guide has posted a new interview with Peter Lenkov. It's similar to the 1 posted above from Entertainment Weekly, but it's also different. It lists 8 things about the storylines for this season. About half, I think, are covered in the EW article while about 4--the other half--are NEW to this article. http://www.tvguide.com/news/hawaii-five-0-season-7-catherine-returns-adam-kono-chin/?ftag=TVG_Twitter
  18. More from Thomas' interview in the new issue of People: He might do things differently but denies fault for the CM set drama & (his) DUI. http://www.people.com/article/thomas-gibson-shares-his-side-criminal-minds-firing-shemar-moore-tension-dui?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag I forgot to add: There's a point where it looks like that's the end of the article (this part of it?)--it says, "for more... buy this week's People, on newsstands Saturday", or something similar--followed by a picture of the cover of the new issue. There's more of the article below that, so keep reading.
  19. The Hollywood Reporter says that BBC & Mary Berry are apparently planning to do a rival show--either baking or cooking--to GBBO. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/bbc-great-british-bake-rival-932066?utm_source=twitter
  20. American Crime is on ABC. American Crime Story (which was about the OJ trial this season) is on FX. It's probably an easy mistake.
  21. I don't know of her politics. But I do know she's a very devout Christian who's also very pro-gay rights/"gay friendly".
  22. If makeup doesn't cover the tats, I think these days they can also digitally remove/cover them in editing.
  23. They've apparently never picked the SecDef to sit out the SotU, but they picked Robert Gates, the SecDef in 2009, to sit out the Inauguration, according to the Wikipedia list, on the linked page, of some of those chosen, in recent years, as the Designated Survivor(s) to assure the Presidential Line of Succession in the event the members of the US government are killed at an event involving the simultaneous presence of POTUS, VPOTUS, the members of the House & Senate, & the Cabinet Secretaries. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_survivor In at least some years since the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks, multiple government officials have been chosen as Designated Survivors. I think early on in the aftermath, they chose at least 1 person from each major US political party to also assure the continuation of those parties. Hillary Clinton has never officially been a Designated Survivor, as long as she's served in the government, but she was in London on State business during at least 1 event involving a Designated Survivor being named, just in case.
  24. You're welcome. I notice other entertainment news sources are also posting at least similar headlines on their Twitters, since I posted the People link. But I assume they're just quoting that & not providing additional info, so I won't bother (for now, at least/unless I find out differently) to post those links.
