  1. I think the point was to, right out of the gate, put to rest any notion that she can't lip synch (or at least pair the memory of her screwing up before with the memory of her being spot on now). Mission accomplished, reset button pushed, game on.
  2. I wish David were still poor. He'd still have a shitty attitude but could probably afford only a few weapons.
  3. The meetings he's being charged for were with an individual counselor and, once a week, with a group counselor. I assume they'd also recommend or at least point out where to find NA meetings (and maybe 12-step alternative meetings). AA & NA make a point of being independent of any paid facilities (although will sometimes hold meetings there) and don't charge for meetings, although members who want to and can afford it chip in to cover expenses (rent, coffee, insurance if the meeting place requires it, etc.).
  4. I'm not interested in buying Kail's hair products, but - I don't ever want the extra packaging, so long as it's well enough protected to arrive undamaged. I don't need a display case that I'm just going to throw away anyway. If it's specifically advertised as coming in gift packaging, I suppose that would be an issue, but if I'm just ordering the products, that's all I actually want. (If they were wrapped in lots of tissue paper, they weren't rolling around loose in the box as implied by the one photo.)
  5. If I go to the Grand Canyon, the last thing I want to see spoiling the vista is some asshole brandishing a gigantic Confederate flag. Don't wave any flag there (well, I suppose Arizona & US flags are ok at Park Service buildings), but especially not that one.
  6. I think I have more problems with the shirt (although it fits), but I'm not up on trashy fashion for 20-somethings, so what do I know.
  7. Ok, a dissenting point of view: I think it's great that Leah is opening up about this. It takes a lot of courage, and she seems stable enough in her recovery at this point that talking about it can provide an example, as they say, of experience, strength, and hope for anyone in her area who may be dealing with similar struggles. It's probably for the best that she kept things more private earlier, seeing as how she's getting a lot of flak in response.
  8. Crossfit participation trophies, maybe? Apparently he's among the top 13,000 US men's crossfit participants who choose to put their stats out there. Last year he was only in the top 22,000. https://games.crossfit.com/athlete/562529 (from googling his name & crossfit).
  9. I just hope they give them enough time to do some good work.
  10. I wonder if the friends would also like to move out of their parents' homes and Kayla and Jade are the only friends they have who, because of the MTV money, can swing it. (or, if not out of their parents' homes, out of other living situations that aren't particularly desirable).
  11. You know who has a piss-poor attitude, Kyler? You. You have a piss-poor attitude.
  12. Perhaps Kayla's mom was glad to finally be done being the single mom of someone too young to take her of herself and doesn't want guardianship of a baby.
  13. Most of them moan and groan about darker skin tones, too.
  14. I like Lexi! I wouldn't watch if it were just a bunch of train wrecks. I think there's hope for Ashley, too, but it seems to me that the others are all just going nowhere, in slightly different ways. Even the best case scenarios I can imagine for Jade, Kayla, and Brianna are pretty depressing - that they manage to avoid drugs, alcoholism, and abusive partners, and stumble sadly through life at a series of minimum wage or barely better than that jobs, and possibly figure out what they're doing just in time to become grandmothers. I suppose MTV money will take the sting off it a little, if it lasts more than a season or two, but mostly that will just defer coming to terms with the situation.
  15. Radar has the deleted videos from David. I don't think I've ever seen someone so far around the bend. I hope he lands himself in an institution - and that whoever is there with him is protected from him. https://radaronline.com/photos/teen-mom-2-jenelle-evans-husband-david-eason-threatens-randy-houska-guns-jaw-realigned-videos/?utm_source=relicagency&utm_medium=Partner&utm_campaign=relicagency
  16. It's Kyler, not Kieffer (not that that sounds much more like an actual name . . . apologies to any other Kylers out there). Let's hope Kayla is fully done with Stephan. And what does he choose to get violent over? That she called him on taking her debit card again. I'm sorry her baby has a terrible father, but the sooner she figures that out and is done with him, the better. Let's hope Brianna's mom hasn't dug them all a hole so deep they can't climb out of it . . .
  17. I think Kayla said "$20 a week" but her math skills are suspect. $128 a month is $32 a week (well, $30-ish for months that aren't February.). aah - I see configdotsys beat me to it. I was contemplating weighing in on other matters, too, but decided not to . . . .
  18. Did she take Lincoln to the wedding? If not, and I think not, then presumably she was looking for someone to babysit both of the younger boys. I don't think it's completely out of line to ask - just as I have no argument with Mrs. Marroquin saying no.
  19. Here's hoping you have a wonderful time!
  20. I thought the lilies were great - aside from those flowers and the elephants, I didn't really care for any of the tattoos, but a lot of the technical stuff goes over my head. The octopus looked like a boiled lobster if you didn't look closely, but I can see how it might be improved with some additional contrast.
  21. So, she bought into the phony shark on the highway pic that pops up on Twitter during every hurricane of the last 10 years, I see. A very discerning Twitter user, that Jenelle. I'm skeptical of the dolphin story, too, but the rest seems to be true. I think the tornado warning for her area lifted this a.m., so that's good, at least.
  22. What are the guidelines for using a generator? I have gotten the impression you're not supposed to run them indoors, because of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning (in fact, two of the fatalities from Florence so far were due to carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator), but you're also not supposed to put them out in the rain (electrocution risk) (one of the other fatalities was related to this). Obviously, people who are running generators during a hurricane are running afoul of one or the other of these rules, so this must be an oversimplification or something. Just wondering what the right way to do it is - aside from, perhaps, just waiting until the rain clears to use it and getting by on battery-powered stuff until then.
  23. Don't those huge bows on her forehead get in the way of snuggling? Granted, I'm not a huge fan of head adornments for baby girls to begin with, although I will concede that most of Layne's have been pretty cute, but these also just seem like they would get in the way of closeness.
  24. Columbus County is under voluntary evacuation status - this site has info for all counties: https://www.ncdps.gov/florence . If she were across the border in South Carolina, where the authorities have been more aggressive about the evacuation orders, it probably would have been mandatory, but NC left it up to local authorities to make the call (until today, when they made it mandatory for the barrier islands). Just because it's not mandatory doesn't mean it isn't a good idea. With a pre-fab home that's already damaged, on water-logged land by waterways that will likely flood, and, most especially, with small children to look out for, I think they're crazy to stay, but they're not defying orders in doing so, at least not yet. [edit: I checked & they're actually supposedly in an area of minimal flood risk. So, I guess my main concern would be that it's not a particularly well constructed house & they have small children. Odds of losing the roof, for example, or of damage from trees falling, would be high, but I guess the speculation I've bought into about flooding was misguided. They must have to drive to that river.] [my earlier edit: My thoughts and prayers are that I hope this knocks some sense into her. I consider that optimistic.]
