  1. I think Derek might have made Portuguese egg custard tarts if he hadn't done so twice already.
  2. Perhaps he looks to Eric Rudolph as a role model (the guy who bombed the Atlanta Olympics among other things and then hid out in the North Carolina wilderness for years).
  3. I think Poh would have, too. We'll see how Matt fares as a mentor, but Billie didn't really seem to have much to offer beyond encouragement.
  4. I've been taking notes for some reason, so - yes, she has. Her desert island dish was Armenian dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) with pan juices, flat breads, & dip (my notes don't specify what sort of dip & I don't recall, but I remember she said her son really liked the pan juices). Whatever she was tasked to do on the seafood team challenge, it wasn't dessert. (Well, I suppose she might have helped Christina with her sticky date pudding at some point, but the only thing I remember was her putting stuff on the table, so I'm guessing she did lots of prep or something.) I think she's been shown sitting down with family for dinner as well as dessert, too.
  5. The design on Bishme's t-shirt didn't seem like something Elton John would have worn, but I liked the design otherwise.
  6. The seafood team always struggles with prep time, don't they? (They don't always divvy it up that way, of course, but when they do I always assume it's going to be worse than they expect.)
  7. Seems she's being brought up to think mistreating animals is normal.
  8. I almost turned it off when I saw Marni, and should have. I wonder how the judging would have turned out with a normal judging panel. Was Marni only on the panel because they were down two regular judges?
  9. I assume Jenelle & David adopting the term "homestead" means it has some right-wing fever swamp gloss to it as well - right there with talk about being sovereign citizens (the law doesn't apply to me! I'm a sovereign citizen!), or stocking up on bomb shelter food and machine guns. Could just be romanticizing the 19th century, though (it didn't work out all that well for most who got land under the Homestead Act). Wherever they've gotten the term from, I doubt it reflects much sober consideration of history or bankruptcy law - it's likely just a flavor-of-the-month aspirational term from whatever extremist websites David hangs out on. (Looks like "homesteading" is also a sort of a hippie-ish back to the land phenomenon. Let me know when Jenelle gets into home canning and David puts up a windmill and solar panels.)
  10. That would be a drab wedding - maybe, mother of the bank teller, since her "inspiration" was money?
  11. Didn't seem so to me although I wasn't inclined to go back and check carefully. Just because she has a loving boyfriend and isn't estranged from her family doesn't mean there isn't some distance around how much she feels she can share about the drag aspects of her life with them that causes her to have a bit of guard up and feel a bit alone with it all at times. And, while featuring all this could be a sign of going home soon, it could also be the show setting up an arc of growth for someone who didn't seem like they were likely to break through earlier in the season.
  12. I thought Ra'Jah was much stronger for the first half of the lip synch. Until Scarlett cut her way out of the gown, her approach seemed too self-focused, while Ra'Jah conveyed the emotion directly to you. It was fine, but more pretty than compelling. Nice finish, though! I thought she might have saved herself but at least she went out with a flourish.
  13. The person who zoomed in on that photo of Ensley with her mouth open thought that she had structural abnormalities to her palate that would cause difficulties with speech (possibly related to not having gotten a helmet), so I've wondered about that a little. In this case, though, I think she was also sleepy and didn't feel like performing. David was so insistent that she eventually gave him what he wanted but I think she just wanted to go back to sleep or be allowed to wake up at her own pace. Also, David, why insist she say she "slept good"??! (instead of slept well). I don't expect perfect grammar from parents at all times, and, fine, we can even call it dialect, I suppose - but why drill your kid to say something so blatantly ungrammatical?
  14. https://www.bravotv.com/project-runway/season-17/season-17/blogs/runway-recap-episode-3 https://www.bravotv.com/project-runway/season-17/season-17/blogs/runway-recap-episode-2 The episode 3 one is currently on the front page; to get to earlier ones click on "episodes," go to the appropriate episode guide, and look for "runway recap."
  15. No - earlier in the episode, they compared hotel rooms, remember? Kail said something about how her sister's room was nicer than hers (and neater).
  16. It's so nice to have these again! I was getting so irritated at Lifetime for not providing them in recent season(s) (not sure when they stopped).
  17. Also - Christian was 21 at the time. Hester is 34!
  18. I'm no fan of her boudoir type photos (or anyone else's, really), but I still think if she wants to do that sort of thing it should be entirely on her own terrms.
  19. Um, wear more flattering clothes? It's one thing to have some extra padding in that area - but most women who do would choose not to wear those pants. At least not for all the world to see.
  20. I am, but don't usually have much to say if no one else is talking. So - here's a thought: I wish they'd taken five through again on Friday instead of four. Jasmine was so strong in the earlier segments, and her savory elements for the last round sounded like they worked very well, too. It's probably unfortunate that she said what she did about not liking to measure - they may have taken it at as a sign that she would inevitably run aground down the line on baking challenges; and she probably should have either left off the big cake or tried to do something else to doctor it - a syrup &/or some fruit or cream might have helped, along with a much smaller presentation of it. Still, I'd rather they'd given her one last shot. I thought the top three were pretty clear, and sixth was pretty clear, but it seemed pretty close between her and Jilly for 4th, so I was sort of expecting them to send either 3 or 5 through.
  21. There's a reason that land was so cheap, Jenelle! I'm glad the dog kept them from going too fast with Kaiser on board, since they didn't have him wear a helmet for his mandatory ride back to the house to change clothes.
  22. No need to dis everybody else, Kail. That's a more flattering look than she typically sports, though, so I'll give her that.
  23. It's important to have winter court shoes as well as summer court shoes ;).
  24. I wonder if Jenelle's kids are also just tired all the time from not having a regular schedule, not getting enough sleep, etc. The household seems chaotic. The contrast with Chelsea's normal, relaxed, happy, confident kids is really striking, but just being chronically tired would account for a lot of it.
  25. This one was actually fine - someone who was transgender and hadn't done anything too egregious in the process (hormones, implants, shaved Adam's apple, attempt to reduce chin that didn't go as far as she had hoped), and when told she looked like a Kardashian and asked if that was her aim, she basically said, God, no, I just want to look like myself. When advised the smaller chin she hoped for came with risks, she wanted no part of that. And her face looked great anyway. The photo shoot was nuts, but her attitude was great. This season most of the crazies seem to be from Europe, so I'm guessing they've pretty much run out of locals who are this insane.
