  1. Mac, you couldn't see it clearly, but Abigail's ear was indeed not on her head where it should have been. Somewhere there's a photo taken by a crew member floating around the net of Kacey Rohl with the lopped off ear prosthetic. Helena, I totally agree with you in that there are some realistic elements in this show which, when scrutinized, sort of fall apart. Then again, Hannibal of the series has become so much more than the Hannibal of the books or the films. For me the show works best on a quasi-mythical level. Here, Hannibal is super-human or beyond human in that he is able to do things which humans cannot--plan, manipulate, see into men's hearts and pull darkness out; just as Will can empathize to such a degree that he is able to enter the minds of others and see their intent as though it were his own. I mean, if I look at the past two seasons, I can say with a pretty fair amount of certainty that there's no way that Hannibal would have gotten away with any of this. But if I go with Fuller's and Mads' interpretation of Hannibal as fallen angel, it all makes much more sense to me, and the things which would ordinarily bug me become insignificant.
  2. greenbean, Hannibal does indeed shed some tears over Will. I just rewatched and saw the same. Incredible acting all the way round, but Mads really brought it this episode. I keep thinking about the imagery of Will/fisherman/Jesus, and we know that Fuller and Mads see Hannibal as Lucifer. In some odd way it was as though there was the desire (in a gnostic sense) for the two halves to become whole again on Hannibal's part, but Will, being intrinsically good and also a force for justice, can't allow that to happen. What a twist, then, that Lucifer leaves his hell of loneliness, is washed clean, and rises into the heavens and Will is just...lying on a floor surrounded by people bleeding to death. This show just blows me away.
  3. I think this is an episode that I need to watch a few times to get the nuances of the dialogue. There was a lot being said and a lot being left unsaid, with Mads portraying what was unsaid pretty damned well. That was the most expression I've seen in his face/emotion I've heard in his voice since the show started. By the time we were on the plane, it was back to calm, controlled Hannibal, but in that house it was pure emotion for all of them.
  4. He was doing Hannibal the same favor Hannibal did to Garret Hobbs? I don't know. I assumed something of the sort, partly because of the open. And because some part of Will loves Hannibal, and vice versa, even though it's absolutely twisted and broken and deranged. This episode felt like the most painful breakup to me. With more disemboweling. Heh, Snookums, your quote number three is me over at TWoP. I still can't get over how rude that was of Hannibal.
  5. That was an oddly heartbreaking episode. Mads was playing it as though Hannibal truly wanted to go away with Will and Abigail. The sociopath was hurt. He did reveal himself to Will. He even told her about Mischa. He wanted his murder family. Or did he? Am I crazy and it was going to be Bedelia all along? She did tell Will and Jack that Hannibal was in control. The fuck, Bedelia? Maybe she was Hannibal's backup plan in case things went down--the way they went down. Could Dr. DuMaurier be Mischa? Is that possible? I feel like all bets are off on this show with regard to book canon, and I love it. The only thing I can't get past is that Hannibal's killing Abigail seemed rather...rude. It wasn't her fault that Will was trying to trap Hannibal. That was a pure punishment kill. Will's head is going to be so ultra-doublefucked from this. If he lives. I expect (and wouldn't mind) Jack to be dead based on Bella's conversation with Hannibal at the beginning of the ep. Alana I'm not sure about either, but she could pull through. Bravo, Mr. Fuller. You have the best show on television, cable or network. Simply brilliant. I still can't fully process everything I just saw. Amazing.
  6. Damn, how can anyone disagree with Latrice Royale? I loved that she was such a champion for Bianca. When Bianca and Adore walked down that runway together at the very beginning? I was terrified that the rumors of a tie win were straight up. Trinity and April both got shafted and should have stayed around a lot longer than they did. Both of them looked gorgeous. Joslyn should have won Miss Congeniality, even though I knew DeLa won it. Yay for Joslyn getting married. Love. Bianca wins, I am satisfied and happy.
  7. I think that just as Ru wears (or tends to wear) the same silhouettes, so does Bianca. They've both found the look that's right for them and expresses who they are in drag. Bianca's ability to be high glam isn't so important to me as the fact that she is extremely polished, confident, and solid in her presentation, as is Ru.
  8. I don't think Adore should win, though I love her. An Adore win would be based on potential, not actual talent at the time of the win. I can't get with that. In a few years I have no doubt that Adore will be a superb queen. But right now she needs to learn more about her craft.
  9. I just loved that we got Hannibal confessing that he had Mischa. And the attendant conversation about how Hannibal took Abigail away from Will. And what a sickfuck Mason is. Aborting the baby and...was that a hysterectomy, also? In Dead Ringers red gynecology dressing gowns? Nice visual shout out to Cronenberg, by the way. Alana is...bothering me, for lack of a better word. She was written so well initially and now, not so much. Then again, she's getting psychically driven (or otherwise) by Hannibal too, so I'll give her a pass. I can't wait to see how the last two episodes turn out, and cheers to the crew and cast for getting renewed. This is the only show I consider a must since Breaking Bad went off the air.
  10. Rumbelle wedding: total afterthought for Adam and Eddy for the sole purpose of shutting the shippers up. I don't think that A&E even cared about it. I know I didn't. The wedding left me completely cold. "Splashy wedding"? I must have missed that part. I loved the rest of the episode because it gave me exactly what I wanted. No set up to world jumping that lasts half a season, no ridiculous big bad setups for the next season; I don't think Elsa is going to be a big bad, you can't mess with her that much, the movie just came out. What I loved was that we did get character development and character progression. I don't think I've enjoyed a Snowing/Emma-centric so much in the history of the show. Probably because of the fact that I don't think we've gotten one for two seasons. I'm sure this won't endear me to anyone but I think in order for Gold to become interesting again as a character, Belle has to disappear or even die for a while. While they were in the Enchanted Forest, I liked their dynamic. There, they have an interesting relationship and they crack me up a lot, while still giving me a romance-y vibe, a la Beauty and the Beast. At this point, I only enjoy them in the fairybacks. Now all Belle is, is a ball and chain (haha) around Gold's neck. Kill her off and then bring her back at the end of the show and let them get back together if that's what's needed, but her continued existence at this point keeps Gold stagnant with almost nothing to do. Gold is boring to me as a good guy, which is all Belle wants him to be. I'd be happy with gray hat, but she doesn't even seem to allow for gray hat. I don't even care if/when she finds out about the dagger bait and switch. If she reacts badly I'll have to laugh because she's excused every single other thing that Rumple/Gold's ever done. Whatever. The episode was actually far better than I expected and I loved every single moment of Emma and Hook together.
  11. I was pretty much done right before AJ was murdered, so...yeah. They ruined KeMo and ME, they gave Robin an idiotic send off and are still trying to make me hate her, Sonny killed AJ, and the looming threat of the Nina storyline were the combination of events that made me split. If Sonny, Carly, Franco, Sabrina, Kiki, Nina, the suddenly very large and very extended Olbrecht family all left the canvas? I might watch. As it is, I'll read for now.
  12. I watched the first season and liked it, pretty much. Then this season started and I was like, why are they so obviously selecting pairs who are going to hate each other's guts? It's so blatantly Wife Swap in the Jungle that it's not even funny.
  13. Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at. I knew that Adore was going to be final three for sure and was fine with that, because she is someone I can see as up-and-coming. Her aesthetic, however, is busted in a way that doesn't make sense or even begin to approach, say, Alaska's, which is gloriously busted and gives me life. So if someone's going to win, it had better be Bianca, because out of all the queens this season I love her the most. I was meh on her to start but then I realized she was fierce as fuck, can read everyone to filth and is shady as hell combined with a real, honest heart of gold. I was sold on her. On top of all that, which should be more than enough, her drag persona is solid. I know who Bianca del Rio is. I don't know who Adore is or what she's selling, if that makes sense. How young and street and charismatic she is? Which I also got tired of hearing about, btw. A tie win would bug. It seems to be gaining ground, though.
  14. I feel sad. Max's hair is thinning. I love Max's hair. This show needs to switch it up some. Because this was yet another overweight person hiding behind a fake profile with extra added denial as regards her totally assholic behavior. Still, I don't know that she was any more destructive then Mhissy was. Her shit-stirring just reached a wider circle of people. I did like that Max seemed the most annoyed by her bullshit, probably because I like Max. And his hair. Which I think I mentioned.
  15. Based on the first promo there--can we please stay in one place for a season or two? All this world-jumping is driving me nuts. Slow down, cut some of the fat, and focus on building the relationships we have now. I'm so tired of being filled in on important story beats via Twitter. Just take a season and give me some real character development.
  16. Hey kieyra! I knew about World Of Wonder filming the top three wins since Raja, but all this buzz of a tie-win being filmed was news to me. I'm hoping it's not the case. I truly adore Adore but I feel like this would be a win based on her potential rather than her actual talent at the time of the win.
  17. I wish April had stuck around longer. She looks fierce in those Getty pics. Hmm. DO NOT SCROLL THERE IS A BIG OLD SPOILER BELOW. ONTD is saying that there's a tie win between Bianca and Adore. I'm not sure what the point of that would be or why the show would have a double win, but there you go. Take it or leave it. I'm not sure what to make of it at all. Or if I should have spoilered that even though this is a spoiler thread and hopefully people who don't want to get spoiled aren't peeking here.
  18. I can't quit this show. I watch on Hulu now instead of watching live, because that way I can skip over episodes that I don't care about, but I can't stop watching completely. It absolutely kills me how poorly written OUaT is, though. I've never watched a show with shittier writing, Instead of jumping to another curse/big bad/separation of True Love for this finale and lead in to the next season, what if we got a season of character development, without adding any new faces to the canvas? Focus on the couples and relationships we have. Give them greater depth than they have now. Tie up all the loose ends that are still fucking dangling! Stop with passing the idiot ball from one person to the next depending how A&E feel w/r/t whoever's their shiny new toy for the week. This episode was so awful. Just what point does Emma serve? She's not the Savior any more, and mom and dad have a new baby boy now, also the product of pure love. Emma looked heartbroken to me. I loved how depressed Rumple looked when he proposed to Belle--he looked seriously sad, almost like he gets that in asking her this is finally going to be the end of their relationship. I was overjoyed that Rumple froze or killed or messed with Zelena; please, she's a fucking menace, I don't care about her backstory or her pain, so just get rid of her. I liked Regina's somewhat ambiguous look as she tucked the brooch away. I have no idea what's coming next season since I stepped away from this show when Belle got fridged by turning into Lacey, but the writers need to slow down the whiz bang pow pace of the show and get back to these characters who were initially so fascinating to me. The show needs to stop building up these uber-ultra-villains who are then vanquished in two ticks. I'll watch to see the Rumbelle 'splashy wedding' go up in smoke, but after that it's back to intermittent views.
  19. Thank god Darienne has finally left the building. She should have been gone from ep.1 but for some reason Ru kept her messy ass around. Whatevs. She is gone, I am happy, Bianca needs to win it.
  20. Ugh, Darienne is still here. Why? Seriously, her looks last night were so busted. I can't even with her. Comparing her work thus far to BenDeLa's and it's Ben all the way. This is the most boring run-up to the finale ever.
  21. Has anyone checked if Miriam had both her ears? I'm still not giving up hope for Abigail.
  22. I'm completely over every single villain having a tragic backstory. I've been through this storyline so many times already with OUaT and I'm so sorry but I don't give a damn about her pain, no matter what caused it. I'm also over the inability of the writers to catch a clue when it comes to writing story for Rumple and Belle, and I think Rebecca Mader is so OTT that she's gone from camp to psychotic loon when it comes to acting choices. I keep telling myself that the show will get better but I don't think Adam or Eddy have a clue what they're doing when it comes to story arcs.
  23. I suspect the answer is 'absolutely nothing' since Sonny confessed to Carly that you know, he just really, really wanted to kill AJ for all the horrible things he's done over the years. Ron is salivating over the amount of trolling he pulled with yesterday's episode. He's reading boards and cackling. Asshole.
  24. Rocco? Really? Why on earth would anyone do that to a child, good lord.
  25. He's just a little shit and in all fairness, Mo's acting is not what it used to be. Watching him stumble through a line can be painful to watch. Then there's also that weird thing about him always returning to eat the show. Just when it looks like he's going to get back-burnered? Hell, no! MORE SONNY.
