  1. All I can say is I want whatever potion Kate Harrington drank. She apparently hadn't aged a day from when we saw her in the late-1970s to when she was bidding in that auction in 2016. Also, kudos to Jack for landing a guy who was easily half his age. The rest was a big shrug. I don't need to see Truman mooning over Babe's grave, or creating a fantasy for himself where the swans mostly forgive him. All that tells me is the writers ran out of material, and are ending the series with what is essentially a filler episode. It's so strange to me the show assembled all this talent and aside from Tom Hollander, gave them so little to do.
  2. I liked the storyline. It's nice to see Darlene and Becky sniping, followed by having a nice moment, along with finding out Darlene is attending trivia regularly to show the college kids what is up as a brain exercise. Also nice for the show to remember Crystal is still out there, even if her circumstances are sad now.

    Titanic (1997)

I don't think they ever established what happened to her mother. The last time we saw her, she looked fairly shell shocked and broken. As far as the movie was concerned, it appeared Rose was content to let her think she was dead.
  4. Dr. Turner and Shelagh are still going strong. I think it's been 10 (?) seasons since they got married. Violet and Fred are still plowing ahead as well.
  5. Matthew is a giant baby. It gives you a good idea as to how little he must think of Trixie's job that he felt comfortable calling her in the middle of the delivery to whine about a screaming baby and having a headache.
  6. I rented it on Amazon. I liked the movie, but felt maybe it was a little overhyped. There were also some subplots that felt tacked on to increase the running time. I do give credit to Tracee Ellis Ross' agent. She got second billing, but probably only had a little more than five minutes of screentime.
  7. In fairness to him, he won that lawsuit. Unless things turn around considerably with the final episode, the only thing I've really learned from this season of Feud is that there is actually very little to the feud between Capote and his friends, certainly there was not enough material for an eight episode miniseries. Heck, that episode of Sex and the City where Samantha got banned from all the hot spots by the society mavens had greater stakes than this show.
  8. This. Rosie Perez is acting her heart out, but Megan as a character makes little sense to me. At best, she's an extremely selfish, deeply immature, person whom doesn't appear to have a good grasp on reality. This episode also made me wonder how is it that Cassie isn't in therapy.
  9. I agree. I also thought Danai really sold nearly dying during the gas attack, and essentially powering through a months long recovery.
  10. True, the bathtub in the kitchen was a thing at one time, but Annie's place is huge, updated and expensive. She doesn't even have frosted glass on that shower!
  11. I thought he was good as well. I really enjoyed everyone rallying for him. I was a little surprised Violet didn't seem to notice how awful Fred looked before she told him to be at that mayor meeting. I get she had other things on her mind, but he looked legit terrible. I was kind of meh on the model mom. I couldn't believe her agent was saying they were going to do mother/daughter model shoots when the kid was two weeks old. Even if the child had been in perfect health, that's just nuts.
  12. So Annie has a shower in her living room that faces the front door, so anyone who walks in unexpectedly while a person is showering can get a nice show. Is this a designing trend of which I was not aware?
  13. It felt like a sketch that could have been funny, but they really had no idea how to make it work or write a decent ending to it.
  14. In fairness to them, the defense normally gives notice that they are pursuing an insanity defense. It wasn't like in this episode where the defense starts making that case and only announces what they are doing during a sidebar. The episode reminded me a little of that episode from the original where the defendant puts on a "black rage" defense. I want to say that many of the arguments made in that episode, which I think is nearly 30 years or so old, were used here as well.
  15. I agree. Having Truman cycle through the same behaviors in each episode is tiresome. It feels like the only person Truman is really feuding with is himself. It would be nice to know how it is these women are even friends. They don't seem to have much in common, except Truman, and being in society is not enough to sustain the kind of relationship these women are depicted as having. I would say the best part of the episode was the shop girl at Bonwit Teller being snotty to Babe and CZ about wanting to buy gloves.
  16. I thought Janine just misspelled the sub's last name when doing her search. Was that not what happened? The episode was okay. I kind of want to tell the writers it's okay if not every character has something to do in a given episode. Sometimes it feels like they are stretching to include everyone.
  17. Not to mention, after the article is published, Truman is presented as desperately wanting to get back in their good graces. So how bad can these women really be?
  18. I enjoyed the episode. I felt bad because there were points during the episode where I had real trouble understanding what Doreen was saying, and had to run it back a few times.
  19. World Beyond was set at a place called Campus Colony. It was an old college that had been converted into a protected fortress for several thousand people. They, Omaha, Portland and the CRM were all allied. In the first episode of World Beyond, the CRM destroyed the Campus Colony, and later they destroyed Omaha. The CRM led a walker horde to Omaha and blew up part of their perimeter wall. If I remember right, Jadis later tells the main characters in World Beyond that the CRM destroyed Omaha because eventually it would no longer be able to sustain itself, or something like that.
  20. It did feel like something he put together maybe ten minutes before he went on air. It was awkward, and if that was stuff from his act, it makes me wonder how he has such a big following.
  21. They did. Though in his case, the character was being sent to Law & Order: Trial By Jury, so he wasn't really leaving. Sadly, Jerry Orbach was already very ill by the time that show premiered so he only appeared in a few episodes before the actor passed away. I didn't think he left like a loser. He put the office above himself, and acted strategically instead of letting his ego dictate his next move.
  22. While it's true that a random relative couldn't just waive the privilege, it can be waived by the person who is in charge of the decedent's estate. That is why I presume they brought up that the sister consented. They did bring that up. They said the Judge refused to make her testify.
  23. My guess was if they had, had a normal season, and not had the strike induced delay, they probably would have saved Jack leaving for the end of the season. Or maybe Sam Waterston only agreed to come back this season for a limited amount of episodes so he could be written out. Robert Morgenthau, the real New York DA that Adam Schiff was based on, stayed in office until he was about 90. If your client or your client's representative (such as an estate) consents for you to testify, you can legally be forced to testify.
