  1. If the entire class is failing, then I think it does reflect on her. Wasn't that why it was suggested she change her teaching methods because her old way of prepping for the exam wasn't working?
  2. I remember him being one of the Mercy West doctors who was killed by the gunman on Grey's Anatomy.
  3. A coherent storyline? What did they say? It had been a few days since her accident and major brain surgery, and not only is she up and about, but in her mind, she's totally ready to return to work! Even if she's the best doctor in the world, that's just crazy.
  4. They really don't have much to go on. The mom said he made a list of girls he'd like to harm. Is that enough to commit someone you've barely spoken to? I don't know. I liked the show. I can also see why Michael Crichton's estate is suing, if only because you switch the location to Chicago, change some names and this show could be the ER revival that was originally being planned.
  5. The show has announced its filming locations for the next season: TUESDAY, APRIL 29 — Savannah, GA TUESDAY, MAY 13 — St. Louis, MO TUESDAY, JUNE 3 — Salt Lake City, UT WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18 — Boothbay, ME TUESDAY, JULY 1 — Charlevoix, MI You can enter the lottery for tickets to attend one of the events through March 24, 2025.
  6. I think the producers had said they might bring him back if it made sense to bring him back, but they wanted the show to stand on its own before they would consider that.
  7. There's definitely a pattern of traumas rendering these families unable to function. For me, I'm also very curious how the incredibly accelerated building schedule is going to effect these homes in the long term. Even if everyone has good intentions, I'd be very wary of how rushed everything seems.
  8. When we saw how cluttered the house was, and the mom's extreme difficulty in parting with her dead husband's things, I was thinking the issue really wasn't them needing a new home, so much as mom needing professional help.
  9. I'm old enough to remember when Ally McBeal crossed over with The Practice for a two part episode. Both were David E. Kelly shows, but were very different in tone and aired on different networks. They somehow mostly made that work. Everything just felt off. It was like the Sunny actors weren't quite sure of themselves, and the Abbott writers struggled to write scenes for well established characters with whom they were not all that familiar.
  10. I didn't love the episode. I liked the Janine/Dee "competition" for Gregory, but otherwise it was kind of meh. I only have a general familiarity with It's Always Sunny, so perhaps I would have liked it more if I knew that show better. It's also possible the shows just don't mesh well.
  11. I think he said the trophy was very meaningful to he and his family, and that talking about it was emotional.
  12. Sandy Duncan is the queen of cheerful perkiness. I liked having a defense attorney who got that her client was "nutso" and needed help, as opposed to being found not guilty. I've been watching the show on Hulu. One thing that I noticed when watching the Season 6 episode "Custody," the adoptive family gave the cops a current picture of their son (he looks the same when the cops find him on the bus) and said when he came to them he was malnourished and underweight. Later in the episode, they when to the perp's place of work and she has the same picture of the kid taped up at her desk. The perp acknowledged only having first seen her bio kid after he was adopted at the zoo where she took him. She acknowledged having to bribe the social services victim to get the kid's current information only a couple of days before the kidnapping. My question was: Where did she get the up to date picture for her desk?
  13. I think they've had at least one or two episodes where the person they were helping was gay, and they responded compassionately. And while I know they didn't know about Patsy, I think Phyllis did and she had a "seen it all, not a big deal," attitude about it.
  14. It would be interesting. I remember that episode where Sister Julienne wore regular clothes into the community to get an idea of how women her age were seen and viewed by people. I have to imagine they have some idea (or at least a suspicion), even if it's not discussed. He's not particularly subtle.
  15. I don't recall, but Trixie is a trained nurse, as well as a midwife, no? I know her credentials still would not transfer (she'd likely have to attend nursing school classes in the US and pass the nursing boards for New York), but I do think she has qualifications beyond just midwifery. I thought she went back to Jamaica because there was a pushback against immigrants in the UK, and it became too much for her to remain there? I didn't really understand why they didn't just write Cyril off with Lucille.
  16. I don't mind her voice overs, but it is amusing that the voice overs have lasted eleven more seasons than the actual character did on the show. This. It was crazy to me that Rosalind took off after a random bleeding man into what appeared to be a vacant, derelict building. Correct. They said he had to do doctor-training related stuff during the holiday. I do feel like Reggie's abilities change as the plot requires. I was surprised that he rides the bus without an escort given how easily things fell apart for him when Fred was delayed getting to the station.
  17. Did they cut a plotline regarding Cyril? He got that letter from Lucille, complained to his church friend about it saying nothing, then it was not mentioned again. And dear God, was there any plotline more boring and less suspenseful than Reggie going missing? I never got the sense he was in any real danger and couldn't bring myself to care. Rosalind was lucky she wasn't harmed by the escaped prisoner, and LOL at Cyril attempting to make a citizen's arrest. Not sure what to make of Nancy's new guy. Depending on the show, it could be a red flag that he's asking to meet her kid after one date, or they are on their way to marriage.
  18. Episode airs 12/25/24.
  19. I thought the ending was over the top. Margo was a bad person, but having her get burned alive was a little much. And add me to the people who did not understand the reason for the cover up. It was an accident. I don't know if the gun was licensed or properly stored, but I can't imagine the daughter was going to get charged with much if she thought she was shooting a burglar trying to break into her home. I also didn't really believe anyone was going to pull their offer based on a years ago shooting at the house. It was a beautiful home in what appeared to be a great area. They'd have multiple offers.
  20. It appears to be the 2024 special. The preview is up on PBS' site and they say it takes place in December 1969.
  21. Scarlett was a very good sport. I thought the jokes about her got really raunchy, and not in a funny way.
  22. I'll miss the show. It was nice to have a Star Trek show that did not take itself seriously, where it totally made sense that an exocomp named Peanut Hamper could have a sexual relationship with a bird person, a creature called Moopsy sucked the bones out of animals, and you'd get the occasional V'Ger joke. I enjoyed the ending, and seeing the characters move forward to what sounded like bright futures. I'm sure it won't happen, but I'd love to visit these characters again at some point.
  23. They did say the ring cutter they normally used was broken, and the one the local fire department had also was broken. Mind you, trying to use the giant bolt cutter, then the sword, was really stupid, like so stupid as to make the joke not work. It's supposed to be a real hospital, so having them just be idiots isn't as funny as the writers think.
  24. Truly a show that deserved better. I guess it did get three seasons, which is better than most get, but I do wish this was not the end.
  25. I don't know if I would say Georgie is acting as a father-figure to Missy. I think she's too old for that, he's too young and realistically, Georgie is not around her enough to take on that role. I agree.
