  1. The word cold describes Sansa perfectly. She is cold to everyone and, with the exception of Arya and Bran when they were first reunited, Sansa doesn’t try to see anyone’s POV or understand the situations they’ve been in. She conveniently forgets that Tyrion was forced to marry her, too. He was not chomping at the bit to be tied to a Stark. And while she was held in KL, Tyrion asked her if she wanted to leave and said he would help her, but she insisted she was loyal to Joffrey and loved him. Seems to me she would have jumped at the chance to leave her tormentors, but she didn’t and you can’t rescue someone who doesn’t want to save herself. Sansa doesn’t trust anyone, but instead of using Westeros’s version of Wikipedia to try to figure out the motives and alliances of the people around her, she openly antagonizes possible allies. She doesn’t know anything about Daenerys other than what she’s heard. Sansa was offended when Lady Mormont questioned her marriages to turncoats and enemies without context, but she’s doing the same thing to the people coming north to fight the AoTD. Sansa has the opportunity to observe and get to know Daenerys, but she’d rather throw shade at someone offering assistance and present herself as the put upon Lady of Winterfell to the sycophants around her, like that puffed up lord from the Vale. Sansa hasn’t learned anything outside of protecting herself and maybe those named Stark. In that she is just like Catelyn and she could very well make the same mistakes, jumping to conclusions and acting blindly without facts. Winterfell is just one house in the North and outside of her authority there, she has none. Jon still outranks her as Warden in the North. I know Jon doesn't want to be a king, but he is a leader. I wish he would stop taking crap from everyone (his “sister,” the fair-weather lords of the North and everyone else who thinks they have all the answers) and be the leader he was born to be. Also, the following things need to be said: I will be mad if I don’t see Ghost in this final season. I don’t care about Arya and Gendry. I want Cersei dead. I don’t care about the North. I only cared about them marginally because of the Starks, but they have got to be the dumbest, most xenophobic people in Westeros. I’m starting to look at the upcoming war as the culling of the herd.
  2. You see it one way and I see it another. Almost doesn't count. And Jon's reaction is perfectly understandable. Done talking about this.
  3. Yep. He saw red and wanted to murder Ramsey with his bare hands. I get that impulse. I know that kind of rage. The charge wasn’t the disaster, the disaster was being outnumbered; the disaster was Sansa not telling Jon about the Vale army and them not being engaged from the beginning. The Vale army would have evened the odds considerably and maybe saved a life or two. Sansa was complicit in the slaughter of her banner men willing to step up and the wildlings who stepped up only because of Jon. That action on Sansa’s part is the main reason why I will never like that character.
  4. This is an oversimplification of the facts and ignores all context in which Jon’s actions occurred. He was undercover with the wildlings and though he fell in love with Ygritte, he left her, returned to the NW, and reported on what he learned. So duty over love. Ygritte died because she was part of the raid on the wall. Her life was on the line no matter what because of her decision. Jon’s side was going to rack up massive losses no matter what he did, they were outnumbered. Argue all you want about what Jon did, that is his personality and he was never going to sit still for Rickon. His duty was to fight with his men to the death, take back Winterfell, and put Ramsay down. He did all of that. Duty and love are not mutually exclusive. As far as Dany is concerned and his choice to bend the knee, that story isn’t over. But I will never believe he did that because he loves her. He did it because she proved herself worthy of his fealty. But... by all means, keep hanging on the narrative that Jon is a simpleton.
  5. Of course, if Saint Sansa had been on the battlefield, as Jon was, and saw her baby brother being hunted like an animal, she would have sat there with her stony face and watched him die. Right? I seriously doubt it. It's one thing to talk about what Ramsey might do and another thing entirely to see a loved one in harm's way without doing something (no matter how futile or foolish) to prevent it. People really need to stop with the "she told him not to let Ramsey bait him" because that is a bullshit piece of advice based on the bait. And Sansa was not Yoda by any stretch of the imagination. I don't like Sansa. I don't have a problem with her asking the question. I have a problem with her consistently pissy attitude and the way she asked it. It's really not called for and if I were Jon I would have called Sansa on her attitude ages ago. I agree with whoever said she would not be talking to or treating Robb the way she behaves towards Jon because Robb was a Stark and, no matter what she says, I think Sansa still sees Jon as less than, the bastard. I can't wait until she finds out that he is (1) her true born cousin, (2) a Targaryen prince, (3) heir to the Iron Throne. I would give anything to see that sour mask masquerading as an expression crack. Also, I don't think for a minute Robb would have put up with Sansa's crap.
  6. This is the best post ever. I couldn’t like it more if I tried.
  7. Wow. One episode and you've already decided the writing is subpar?
  8. Disagree with this but especially the part in bold. Who cares how they might react? They’ve elevated dull and stupid to an art form. The same thing could be said for the cousins in regard to Jon. Understanding and compromise is a two-way street.
  9. To be fair, whatever that was burned in the loot train fight was intended for KL and Dany’s primary focus (and fight) was with Cersei; she had not decided to aid Jon or the North. And the accident with the child was just that an accident. The dragon was going after the livestock. The doomed child wasn’t 3 y/o and there hasn’t been any evidence of the dragons wantonly hunting and eating people. I appreciate arguments against any of the characters based on the facts presented, but not ones that distort what we know. Regarding the rest of your post, yeah, all of the Northerners were cantankerous and ornery, but Sansa is the leader and sets the tone just like Dany haters expect her to.
  10. Danny has moments of genuine warmth. Sansa never has. There wasn’t any gentle or warm way to tell Sam about his father and brother. I give her props for stating the facts without waffling. That wasn’t easy to do.
  11. Sansa should have her throat cut because she’s not as smart as she thinks she is, I don’t care how many times the show tells me she is. It hasn’t been proven once by anything she’s done on screen. Secondly, she’s got the same tunnel vision that her mother (another one who thought she was so smart and righteous) had and you see what kind of shit storm she started.
  12. Actually Sansa is acting more and more like her mother. I couldn’t stand Cat and I’m doubling down on Sansa. I’d like to see her throat cut. She’s cold and arrogant to everyone. Sansa has none of Dany’s warmth. I didn’t like Sansa’s conversation with Tyrion. But there’s not much Sansa could do (short of dying) that would please me. I was sad to see how the little Umber lord was butchered. Lord Glover was never trustworthy. Here’s hoping he and his people become casualties of the the Night King.
  13. I don’t get all the JLH hate. She’s a competent actress and did excellent work in this episode. I’ve liked her since “Ghost Whisperer” and no cries better except maybe Sarah Michelle Gellar. Oh, those Buffy tears.
  14. On the topic of the captain being killed...I liked her and didn’t expect her to be killed off, but am I possibly the only person watching and not attributing her death to a BTS political move or sexism or whatever? I’d be way more upset if they killed off Bishop or Lopez. I view both of them as strong, independent women who carry more weight story-wise then RIP Anderson.
  15. After all this time? Really? Alrighty then. 😂 Of course they do. There wouldn’t be tons of magazine racks in stores if people weren’t buying them.
  16. Yes, I agree about the age group thing; still... not everyone likes communication by text. For me personally, text messages are fine for short messages or the random comment. But if I have a lot to say, I want to have a conversation with real interaction not emojis. I think it’s more about personal preference, but will concede that people born before a certain year aren’t necessarily addicted to communication by text message. That said, I’m glad Nolan is moving past Chen and Talia is my hero. 😂
  17. I enjoy this show even though I did wonder why the cops didn’t find people leaving the area they were going to raid with duffle bags suspicious. Oh, well. Reasons I guess and I’m not going to nitpick. I enjoy the cast and how the characters interact with each other. The episodes are always entertaining with humor. The Rookie runs triumphant circles (complete with joyous leaps) around A Million Little Things.
  18. Sorry. I'm calling bullshit. Delilah didn't express concern for Katherine. If she was genuinely concerned about Katherine she would have called or texted her directly. She would not have used Eddie as a go-between. She called the person she intended to and only mentioned Katherine to appear less petty. Delilah's a raging bitch pretending she is something other than the self-involved, manipulative, needy and worthless waste of space she really is.
  19. If that had been the first instance of Delilah being clueless I would agree. But she has made a career out of it. So...no. Seriously, why bother with Uber Eats when you can get a friend to do it for free?
  20. Note to Gary. Being there is not enough; being there and useful is. Will people stop making excuses for her? Rome’s brother made me want to stick a fork in his eye. Delilah is so fucking useless I can’t stand it. I guess being a damn adult is completely beyond her. Admitting that she’s leaning on all her friends and holding her stomach doesn’t make her worthy of respect or likable. Rome’s comment to his father that maybe he should worry about him really resonated with me. So many people (family and friends) make the mistake that the strong, self-reliant one doesn’t need support at times. Eddie and Katherine looked good together when they were looking at the table. Too bad I still think he’s a dick. Oh, and Katherine? You may have not had always given Eddie the benefit of doubt and contributed to the downfall of your marriage, but you know what you didn't do? Go out and have an affair with one of your husband's friends. Last scene with “Barbara Morgan”? Don’t care.
  21. Best line of the night. Talia. "Where the hell is everybody?" LOL
  22. Rachel was right on target tonight when she talked about the petty lies coming out of Trump’s White House. The letter from his doctor about his health was sort of icky, and why would he (the doctor) state Trump is taller than he is? Can anyone on Trump’s team tell a simple truth?
  23. This. If Goodwin wanted to create totally make-believe situations, she should have written genuine fiction with characters she created and not use historical figures to indulge her fantasies. She is being totally disingenuous by claiming this isn't a "documentary" and "it could have been this way" to justify her work. No. I think the real Victoria left enough written evidence of HER life that Goodwin's actions are not only ridiculous, but insulting. I call bullshit. Furthermore, I have no respect for Goodwin or this season of Victoria and I'm seriously considering dropping it. As I stated before, a little bit of poetic license or creating a plausible scene around a fact is one thing. This is something else and I find it beyond distasteful.
