  1. That was the end I wanted for Jon. I wanted him to be alive and back in the North, reunited with Ghost. I'm glad he said fuck the wall and went off with the Wildlings. Drogon’s grief was awesome. Sansa got what she wanted. I hope she finds as little joy in being QiTN as her brothers did. She has no one watching her back, so she’d better hope the fair weather Northerners never get bugs up their butts where she’s concerned. I can’t believe Bronn got all that wealth. Glad to see Arya on her way. Bran the Broken? Tyrion, you still suck as Hand.
  2. Perhaps, but could the same be said of her?
  3. There has been so much left out of the season's scenes, we have to fill in the blanks. I can't believe there was no dialogue about the armies and dragons coming to WF before they got there. So, I don't think Sansa's question was legitimate or meant to show genuine concern. Sansa has been shown to be underhanded, conniving and sneaky since season 6. And who said Daenerys had to be "queenly" during every interaction with someone who clearly didn't like her, did little to hide it, and was antagonistic more often than not? But to answer your question, yes, be bitchy back. I've got no problem with it.
  4. That's not true. Cersei had an incestuous relationship with her brother while married to the king. That relationship produced children that she passed off as the legitimate heirs to the throne. That was her crime. Giving her pathetic cousin poisoned wine to give to the king was her crime. If the boar hadn't mortally wounded Robert he would have died from the poison. Those were the crimes she was on trial for. I'm confused. You're saying Sansa isn't yet conspiring against Daenerys, but by breaking Jon's confidence and telling Tyrion (who she knew would blab to someone) I don't know how you can't say that Sansa was actively conspiring against Daenerys by setting the pieces in place. Arya would not have been able to kill the Night King without the efforts of everyone at WF. She wouldn't have even been at WF if she hadn't heard that Jon was KiTN. I love that Arya took out the NK and don't think I'm downplaying what she did, but to ignore everything that happened to get her there IMO is wrong and unfair.
  5. Smirking in the situations you noted was being a smart ass appropriately. I don’t think enjoying being a smart ass equates to enjoying burning people to ashes. I disagree. Sansa was being bitchy under the guise of asking a legitimate question. I can’t stand Sansa so anything Daenerys said to her is fine with me. Sansa was smug and insolent every chance she got.
  6. I don’t know whether to like or laugh at that comment. Both reactions are valid. Bravo!
  7. Not really. One is literal, the other was figurative. Let's agree to disagree.
  8. Okay. Except she didn't have a problem running when it was clear her ass was grass in the destruction of KL. And again, her turn and stand took out people who hadn't done a damn thing to Cersei except want to see her get what she so richly deserved. They may not have been privy to every little wrong doing, but they had seen enough and perhaps experienced enough from her to know she should be on trial. So excusing her murder of hundreds is just that an excuse to continue being monstrous and steal a throne that wasn't hers. She is no better than Daenerys.
  9. Not really. Cersei had another choice. She could have gotten the hell out of Dodge, but her pride, greed and hatefulness wouldn't allow that. Mass murder is mass murder, the reasons for it don't make it any less.
  10. I only disagree with this part. I don't think Daenerys enjoyed demonstrating her power, I'm more of the belief that she didn't mind demonstrating her power. It's her default. Whenever I'm driving someplace I'm not familiar with my default is to turn right even when I should be turning left. I know it's not the same thing, but just a little example to show that a lot of people have a favored response whether it's instinctual or just preferred course of action. I think Dany's default is "blood and fire." I think it's really in her genes. Still, she has tried to hold her worst instincts at bay until the series of events that broke her in Westeros.
  11. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree since we're looking at this differently. Whoever was responsible for crucifying the slave children, they were dead wrong and they were monstrous. They made innocents suffer to make a point to (from their perspective) an upstart invader. Those who were part of the "master class" who argued against that particular crime were still complicit in the act--they didn't do anything to prevent the crucifixion of children--and were guilty of other crimes against people (enslaving them). Dany made a point of destroying the "master class" to show them who was boss without benefit of trial or discussion. She was conquering a nation on her way to becoming Queen of Westeros. She wasn't about trying to be just in everyone's eyes, just hers. She was about flexing her muscle and expanding her power. As I said, there were no good guys in this scenario. Just different perspectives which led to people committing crimes against other people. Neither side learned anything except to dig in in favor of their beliefs.
  12. No one has clean hands in this scenario; therefore, no one can play the "victim" or "hero" card. Everyone concerned behaved poorly towards fellow human beings. At this point, people are just trying to "one up" each other in who is worse. They all are worse!
  13. Fixed those pesky typos for you. 😏 Cersei will never look "white and fluffy" to me. She was a true monster. Just as vicious and cruel as Daenerys was in KL. The only difference is Cersei schemed and plotted behind the scenes while Daenerys was right up front with her atrocities. Cersei always looked arrogant and smug when she was destroying someone and gave me the impression, that somewhere inside herself, she was really enjoying inflicting pain and suffering. She wanted to torture and mutilate Olenna who had been defeated (and who had also surrendered). The only reason she didn't is because Jaime got there first. On the other hand, Daenerys looked grim and pissed off when she torched KL. She wore the face of someone who wanted the worst kind of revenge. She didn't look like she was enjoying the city's destruction or the slaughter of its people. She wasn't smirking when the Tarlys went up in flames or when she fed a nameless highborn lord to the dragons in Meereen. Both were/are capable of monstrous actions. Up until KL, Dany was willing to go against her most disastrous instincts. Cersei never was.
  14. Daenerys is a Targaryen. From her POV Jon's lack of affection is rejection without reason. She doesn't understand it. It's one more brick in the pity sack she's carrying.
  15. I don't think Daenerys believed the hokey stories that Viserys did. I remember her telling someone (Jorah? Selmy?) that her brother was a fool who believed people were drinking toasts to the Targaryens and waiting for them to return. She clearly hadn't drank that kool-aid. However, I think once Dany began conquering cities, liberating the enslaved and being received with waves of love, she may have begun to expect that sort of treatment everywhere she went. In reality the people of KL probably thought about Daenerys as much as they thought about Cersei. As long as Cersei wasn't actively making their lives miserable she was probably ignored. They didn't care about Cersei. They hated Cersei, that much was proved when she was forced to walk naked through throngs of them to get back to the Red Keep. But once Cersei started her propaganda campaign against Daenerys the citizens of KL probably decided on the devil they knew rather than the one they didn't. But back to Daenerys and her rage against KL. I've always been a Dany fan and I've cheered her on throughout the seasons, but I wasn't blind to her tendency to want to crush and destroy her enemies when they pushed her. I heard her talk a lot of smack to fire up the troops, but I honestly thought it was just that...smack talk. I didn't ever expect her to destroy KL; but I can't say that her doing so was a shocking surprise. I also don't consider Daenerys mad (as insane) or mad (as in furious). I think she's had enough of all the BS (bad advice, traitors in her company, a lover who can't get past the knowledge that they're related and can't be her lover anymore, ungrateful people, the loss of trusted and beloved friends, the loss of her damn dragons!) and she doesn't care anymore. I've always thought she had a warm, generous and caring side. But I've never doubted that she had a ruthless, vicious side either. I saw something snap in her when she glared at the Red Keep and heard the bells ringing. She probably thought, "I shouldn't have lost everything I had to get here and you fuckers are gonna pay." What she did was wrong in the extreme, but I get where her head was at. This is what I would do if I had dragons and wasn't scared of burning in hell. So....yeah, I still like her and I'm curious to see how this ends for her. Oh. I still love Jon Snow, too; so I'm in a pickle. LOL
  16. LOL That cracked me up. She was seriously deflated.
  17. Why? There are other points of view, just as valid. The episode may have had its issues but many of us did not think it was total trash. I’ve seen total trash and IMO, this definitely was not it.
  18. To me, this is a case of someone seeing part of the picture and drawing conclusions that aren't necessarily correct. I think Varys thought Jon was still in the throes of romantic love with Daenerys and that would make him weak against her. Varys didn't know that Jon's affections towards Dany had changed and Jon was in the middle of a conflict between what honor dictated and what was beginning to concern him. Varys got that wrong.
  19. Just because Dany says Jon betrayed her does not make it so. In her mind Jon betrayed her. But Jon never agreed not to tell his family about his real identity. And if Jon knows nothing (so tired of that stupid line) then neither does Dany. She knew what kind of person Jon was. Presumably, that's one of the reasons she fell for him. She knew nothing if she thought Jon would keep secrets from his Stark sibling/cousins. And Jon's trust in Sansa was misplaced. I get he thinks blood is thicker than water, but seriously, Jon. How many times does Sansa have stab you in the back before you put her down?
  20. Me, too. He was definitely easy on the eyes and had a presence the second Daario did not. You, sir or madam, are approaching this with way too much common sense. I salute you.
  21. I think this was appropriate. Jon was the one who had rallied everyone and brought them North to fight the threat. I also think he did thank Daenerys, she was included in the groups Jon named. I'm wondering just how many thanks does Dany need specifically calling her out. LJG's claim was weak and King Edward knew that when he named her his heir. She reigned for what 9 days before she was executed for line jumping.
  22. Really? That is strange logic IMO. I would expect someone to keep their word, if they gave it, no matter how much they hedged up front. However, in my defense, I probably would have slammed on the brakes and said, "You know what? Nevermind." But, (for the sake of argument) if I ignored my gut instinct and carried on, I don't think I would be shocked if they broke their word, but I would certainly be mad as hell and they would suffer the consequences.
  23. Seeing as my original post has disappeared...Baelish did not love Sansa. At best he had a creepy, twisted fascination with the daughter of the woman he "loved." Baelish played with Sansa. He was a schemer and liar. He threw anyone and everyone under the bus for his ultimate goal which he lost by overplaying at WF with Bran specifically. I give Sansa zero credit for having an "a ha!" moment because she was falling completely under his sway. As for the above comment, I think you are probably speaking in general terms because Sansa certainly didn't witness any manipulations between C&R or Robb and whatshername. Furthermore, losing everything for love and being manipulated by someone for love are two different things. I can't remember if Sansa specifically used the word manipulate, but that seems to be where her head was going.
  24. Sansa didn't personally witness Robb and whatshername. Neither was Robb manipulated by her. Falling in love with someone, loving someone, doesn't mean you are being manipulated by them. And Margery's influence on Joffrey was so minimal it's laughable.
