Gender On Television: It's Like Feminism Never Happened
DangerousMinds replied to Bastet's topic in Everything Else TV
I thought Duran Duran wore the fedoras well in the 80's though! LOL. -
I think if Cindy had left the keys in the car someone would've tried to steal it.

All Episodes Talk: Admit it. You Can't Stand The View.
DangerousMinds replied to stormygone's topic in The View
Elisabitch was so disrespectful to Bill a Maher the last time he was on that I don't blame if he never returns. That was the last episode of this show I actually watched. -
Zoe: Playa hear ya, loud and clearya.
DangerousMinds replied to bunnywithanaxe's topic in Nurse Jackie [V]
Has Zoe ever mentioned any displeasure at her weight? She's not thin but I don't see her weight as particularly problematic and she seems secure with it. -

I'm quite sure that at least one of the 19 kids is gay, but will never be able to admit it. Of course! -
The Kardashians: All of 'em
DangerousMinds replied to goodmayo's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
If they really wanted to speak to him, they would call text, or email him privately, not try to send him messages on social media for all the world to see. FFS.Why Khloe needs or even wants a huge home like that to live in as a single woman will never make sense to me. Bieber was a single guy too, but his entire entourage seemed to live there with him. -
S06.E10: Sidecars and Spermicide

My cable company does the same with on demand programming - except that this show is on Showtime, so there are no commercial breaks. -
S02.E12: It Was The Change
DangerousMinds replied to David T. Cole's topic in Orange Is The New Black
I think she had sex with RJ before she had him killed because, well, she COULD. no other explanation needed for me. She was shown earlier feeling a bit uncomfortable with her impending menopause, and RJ had mentioned finding her hot, so she went for it and had a good old time before sending him off. -
Gender On Television: It's Like Feminism Never Happened

For some reason, I really cringe at the use of "females" instead of "women." It feels disrespectful somehow. -
Faux Life: Things That Happen On TV But Not In Reality
DangerousMinds replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
I've known plenty of people in real life who don't watch much TV. I didn't watch much in my 20's or even early 30's - we really did hang out and listen to music instead. Usually not classical or jazz, but definitely more music than TV! -
I think people are far more self-absorbed today, with their smart phones and tablets and taking pictures of themselves.

S02.E13: We Have Manners. We're Polite.
DangerousMinds replied to David T. Cole's topic in Orange Is The New Black
The Heat Miser comment had me loving Suzanne all over again! Did Vee give Suzanne that padlock? Or was she hiding it all along? -
Lamar didn't know how good he had it. If he played his cards right, he could've had Scott's "career" when his basketball days ended.
-
Speaking of Red's hair - it cracked me up when Suzanne it to Heat Miser! I was thinking the same thing, and even joined in when she was quoting the song. Even as an adult, I a. So tickled watching that Christmas special, just for Heat Miser part!

Hmm, my iPad mini definitely skips the intro every time if I don't stop watching between episodes. Maybe it's different for an older model?

S02.E08: Appropriately Sized Pots
DangerousMinds replied to David T. Cole's topic in Orange Is The New Black
Me too, radishcake, that song brought a huge smile to my face! -
When getting married, presumably because a couple truly loves one another and are vowing to be together until death, why would either of them ask the other to agree to pay their legal fees in case of problems? Or agree to pay the other for staying married? I can understand child support and MAYBE limited spousal support for a short time, but it seems to me if you need these other assurances, then you're not really committed enough to promise to spend your life with a partner you love. As someone who is similarly naturally large-chested (albeit not quite Sherri levels), barring a major surgery, I've found you just have to do the best with what you have. If you can learn to appreciate that, all the better . I wouldn't mind having a reduction but it's a serious, major surgery and I'm not willing to undertake that. That said, I also find some of Sherri's wardrobe decisions questionable!

Just how many of his lyrics mention Jay Z by name, anyway? SMDH. They all really do look miserable in that Instagram picture. Why would she choose that one to send out? Surely they smiled at some point that day? -
Khloe mentioned that she suffers from OCD in this episode. I know Kimmy has also claimed to be OCD (and I believe it), and IIRC, so has Kourtney? What happened here?

It would be great if the kids would actually learn some advanced math skills before moving on to bankruptcy lessons. But who would teach them? Jessa? LMAO. -
Well, that might not be hard for her, as she seems to be photographed stumbling in and out of there on a regular basis already.

I do think what Piper did to Alex at the end was truly heinous and selfish. Calling her PO and reporting her plans to possibly leave the country? The woman may be in a lot of real danger. Sure, being back in prison may be safer for her, but it may be more dangerous. And she is FREE now, not locked up! Just because Piper is lonely, she felt THAT was an appropriate move? If Piper really felt she was madly in love with Alex and ready to commit to her (or just continue the relationship), she only has 8 months or so left on her sentence, right?
