LMAO! I lived in a city called Centerville, and as kids we called CCD "Centerville City Dump".

I found an interesting article online about aspic. The comments section is great. The Icky Era of Aspic http://thesocietypages.org/socimages/2009/02/15/the-icky-era-of-aspic/

I'm with you on everything. I just could NOT get past the 9 days of inpatient hospital care for. . .??? The only thing that could possibly make sense is treatment for her obvious eating disorder and psych treatment.

Jack Crawford: Risking Anything to Solve a Case
DangerousMinds replied to Lisin's topic in Hannibal [V]
I keep thinking about that line, too. Not a throwaway comment. -
Aspic seems disgusting to me, but was popular at one time, so many must have appreciated it.

I thought Jackie was going to end up hospitalized, after Eddie specifically told her not to mix the Suboxone with anything else.
-
Jeffrey is 9, right? At that age I was running around my neighborhood too with other kids. However, I do think Sherri needs to stop with the Twitter, etc, and just concentrate on parenting in the moment. Put the damn phone down!
-
I blame the company if they allow her to continue the errors.
-
And Michelle's "and I gave birth to them all" (or whatever the exact wording is)? They're her kids, of course she gave birth to them (or does she think we think some are adopted?)

S08.E05: Graduation & A Surprise

Or she neglected to drain the canned beans. Yuck! -
Valley Girl speak, vocal fry, and leavin' the G's off her words. EWWWW. Makes her sounds less intelligent than she probably is. I really, really wish they would redo the intro to this show with Michelle introducing the family, her baby voice is just cringeworthy! Time for a change, show. Jill sounded like a 13-year old girl this episode. With all of her "likes," "awesomes" and "neats".

I am pleased, but also surprised to hear that the numbers improved so much this week. To me, this episode was very "talky" and I'm sure if I hadn't been following the show/season very closely, that I would have been completely lost trying to watch the episode.

In the movie, Mason (the brilliant Gary Oldman) was swinging/hanging from some kind of sex swing when Hannibal drugged him, and after the face cutting, I think Hannibal cut the cord meaning to kill him, but he just broke his neck and he survived. Mason cutting off his own face was inspired by a true story of a man, Michael, who did the same thing while under the influence of PCP. http://www.practicalhomicide.com/Research/MasonVerger.htm ETA: now that I look more closely at that article, the real life case seems to have taken place in 2009. So after Harris wrote the book. When Hannibal said that to Jack, I said out loud "Or, I'll just trust myself." Then Jack said almost the same thing.

It does seem as if Sherri is not home a lot, but she does have a cushy job at the View with her days ending at noon (?) and Fridays off, so that's more than many mothers. If she cut down on her weekend travel, I think she'd have plenty of time with Jeffrey. And if she's truly hiring "unskilled" nannies, she certainly has the money to hire up. Does Jeff Tarpley work?
-
I still think they are banning people left and right also because I've noticed quite a few brand new posters lately. It doesn't seem many would be signing up for the first time right now, so I'm assuming most of these are banned posters coming back under a new identity.

Because much of this is really all about Tori's unmentionable deep-seated issues, her own long-term body image and eating disordered withholding behavior.
-
I think Tori thought finding her "soulmate" would magically fill all of her emotional wounds and know what she needed without having to ask, so no need to work on herself for years before meeting the right guy. I know Tori's eating disorder and associated issues (control, etc) will never be mentioned on this show, but they should be.

I didn't think Dr. Roman really suspected Jackie, but maybe I missed something. Why didn't Jackie's druggie boyfriend's real girlfriend just call and immediately report the card stolen?
-
But isn't the woman the only one who can end a courtship or engagement? Surely there has been a man who wanted to break one off in fundie history.
-
Is Sal trying to insinuate that he has wanted to hit Sherri? Some interesting info about their prenup from TMZ: Now, maybe I'm just naive, but why does anyone entering into a marriage feel that they should be obligated to be paid off if/when it ends? If you're in love with someone, ,shouldn't you want to marry them and hope it's forever? And if it doesn't work out, you're single and on your own again.Sheesh.

The Other Duggars: The Lost Girls and Amy

I think the girls (actually adult women now) are going to have to save themselves. -

Well, to be fair they left her alone with the camera crew. -
Fuller said the "birds" were made out of marzipan and hazelnuts, so they must have been quite tasty.

Welcome to the club! I was banned twice by Howard. The 2nd time, only for ONE supposed boards on boards error, referring to a show's fans. One strike, no warning, and I was out lol. So glad to be here!

Alana referred to Chilton in the past tense.
