I feel like Mykelti always has a dramatic undertone of wanting to be the black sheep victim and looking for a fight. Negative attention is still attention, and she sees how martyrdom keeps Robyn in the cat bird seat. Plus it irritates her mom.

I think part of Mykelti trying her best to kiss Robyns butt is to rebel and annoy Christine. She’s Meri Jr in thinking Robyn is an ally and not manipulating her. Robyn will toss her under the bus when it doesn’t benefit Robyn.

I have to agree with Robin on that one - finances should def be a priority.

Honestly if one of my kids were as wild and obnoxious as Aribelora or whatever that youngest banshee is called, I’d want a nanny too. She is Kody manic in a little girls body.

Yeah, these people and their sense of inflated importance is mind boggling and laughable. I really do not think Meri has shown us any redeemable qualities over the years, but geez, she’s a boring frumpy housewife who had an online affair. She isn’t Meghan Markle disrupting the Royal Family. Why would anybody care enough to concoct this elaborate scheme and why do they really think anyone outside their family cares very much. It would’ve made higher ratings and been more interesting If she actually left and Kody went looking for a replacement wife.

Those weird tanks and liners defeated the purpose of modesty - not drawing attention to yourself - because they were obvious modifications to alert inappropriate (to them) clothing in a weird way. No clue when they stopped doing that. That pic is so cringe - hi, I’m Meri wearing a mesh crochet see they top that’s too small, but I layered a skin tight tee under so it’s modest! Hi, I’m Rightous Robyn and I’m wearing a plunging neckline that also is gathered around my boobs with a ring rhinestone thingy and in a loud metallic floral print, but see my tee! MODEST. Hi, I’m janelle and I like, bought a long sleeve shirt that fits. hi, I’m Christine, the fun one! I stole a jr size tank that’s way too short and tight from one of my kids, and layered a tee so MODEST! (Her hair does look amazing there though).

Those modified modest tops were so hideous. Just wear an actual real top, in a size that fits, that covers the parts you don’t want seen. Trying to layer tanks or sleeveless with long tees was a horrible loo, especially when nothing ever fit. Y’all are all too mature style and fit wise for the Jr. Section anyway. Janelle is the only one who didn’t looks stupid, bc she actually bought real long sleeve tops.

It could be both. Abuse and skid marks, another knife to the kidney, even. These people are all overly dramatic.

Paedon was intentionally and purposefully nonspecific. Who knows if the alleged abuse was actually beating with an object, smacking with a fly swat, or one of the more modern yet weird “spare the rod” but lock them out of the house, hot sauce on the tongue, cut up their favorite toy type abuse. One of my great grandparents didn’t hit her kids, but she’d make them sit at the table with no plate and no food while everyone else ate, or lock them in a dark closet but leave the window open for the Boogeyman to come and get them. Not hitting, definitely abusive, and for very minor offenses like not completely wiping their feet or cutting a loaf of bread crooked.

I can totally see Meri being a parent who walks around with a wooden spoon in her back pocket ready to strike at anything that upset HER. Which the threat of can be as terrifying as the action to a kid. Beatings, prob not. Frequent spankings for any instance that frustrated Meri, absolutely. I can also see Robyn milking everything for all it’s worth to Saint-ify herself even more. Paedon is as dramatic as kody and Christine combined, so there’s that. Robyn sent Breanna with Meri as a spy.

I can totally see Meri being verbally, emotionally, physically, and financially abusive. She’s jealous and resentful, and I can see her taking out her own frustrations on some loud kids. I can also see Christine ignoring her kids loud obnoxious behavior just to pick back at Meri. Both have potential to be total Mean Girls. Meri bc she is Mean to the core, Christine bc she’s the Royal princess and is dramatic. Now Robyn - if she stopped some abuse, I guess there is some good in her actions, but she’s going to use anything she sees as potential to innocently make herself look angelic and the other wives bad, so if there was a hint of abuse, I’m sure she jumped right on the rescue wagon to benefit herself as munch as the abused person. She’s not as outwardly sour as Meri yet, but I still don’t trust a word out of her mouth or any single action she does.

I know we see an edited version on the show and social media, but I feel like Maddie is pretty honest and straightforward. She seems like no drama. I believe what she says.

Excellent observation. Like I said above, just hearing Paedons voice sounded exactly like Kody. No doubt the older kids were prob hazing the new kids and little kids some, but leave it to Robyn to find another reason to overdo it and be a victim, and for Meri to have a reason to jump in and defend Robyn, yell at the boys she resents, and have a jab at the other two moms. I do appreciate Ps honesty though and that he fully admits he wants the show to go on bc that’s his family’s main source of income.

No doubt it’s difficult to shift the identity you’ve always known to what the person transitioned wants and needs, slip ups will happen, feelings will be hurt at times. I also have a hard time using what I was taught as plural They to refer to a singular person. What I meant by Paedon’s video was he kept saying things in what came off to me as a condescending tone as “well to ME, I remememer MARIAH,” etc like he was purposefully using the old name sort of mockingly, like he was attempting to placate Leon’s request to be called Leon. I haven’t seen them on the show in years, so no clue what adult Leo is like, but when they were a teen, that kid‘s smugness and selfishness was like a baby version of Mama Meri. The whole NEEDING to go to an expensive private school acting like life was unfair and not understanding why your siblings were annoyed with you was not pretty. Maybe some of P’s animosity is residual from the teen years, maybe he’s not really supportive of Leon’s life change, etc, but it looked to me like he was actively trying to poke fun at the identity of Leon vs his old sister Meriah. He may not like or agree with Leon’s life choices, but he may want to know he comes off like he is mocking them, not accepting them. Also - as for Meri’s lineage ending with Leon - uh, Paedon, I’m here to tell you that LGTBQ+ people can and do have biological and/or adoptive children. Meri’s line only ends if Leon decides not be a parent, not because they’re queer.

I agree with you. In think he confirmed more of what we already knew instead of revealing anything special, Meri is mean, Christine dramatic, Janelle the most accepting, Robin manipulates, etc. However, I had this playing in the Bs ground while cleaning the kitchen and this kid sounds exactly like Kody. His voice, his inflection, his phrasing = totallly Kody. Give him a few years and I hope he isn’t as vile, because he certainly has the humble brag arrogance and mysogeny already there. I don’t think he is aware of it, but they way he carefully words talking about his expertise in various subjects, his mothers and especially Leon, he has some definite issues. I get how it could be difficult to always remember to refer to someone you’ve grown up with as a totally different name and pronoun, and I do think Leon is extra woke, defensive and over the top (this whole family is over the top in one way or the other though, so they come by it honestly), but the whole ‘Meri is mean so God only gave her one kid made her kid gay so she can’t continue her line’ is just … no words. I wish he had completed the convo as to how Mykelti knew Robin was manipulative yet she wanted to be her friend and ally. Mykelti always kinda rubbed me the wrong was as also being manipulative and just odd, but also makes me want to know why she and Christine clash so much. I suspect a whole lot of keep sweet around dad but I’m a meaner Mama behind closed doors vibe. Not a Meri flat out nasty vibe, but a little bit of a mean streak at times.

They almost did fine financially bc Janelle were single moms with 5-6 kids each and eligible for a lot of assistance. They still all applied for bankruptcy at times. Now that all the kids except Truly and Savannah are grown and kicked out of the nests, plus the decade of Sister Wives incomes, they’re SOL for alimony. Spousal support, IMO, requires an actual legal spouse, so good luck there.

Still did not address why Robin needs a nanny.

Robyn was cute when the show started and the rest of the women were dumpy. Christine was pregnant, so gets a pass, but now that Janelle has more time for herself, she’s she stunner now. Christine looks so much better, too, and Meri is uh still Meri. Robyn looks busted.

I do not understand how Robyn says they all took her dream from her when she is the one who insisted on never living under the same roof as any of them, insisted on keeping Kody at her house or solving her issues as much as possible, isolating them all during Covid etc. Like I’ve said before, abusers love to isolate their victims from anyone who can see and stop their abuse. But what does she want? The title of legal wife in polygamy and the income from the others, but no actual interaction? She def has some major psych issues.

That is the one question I wish Sukanya had asked. So where DID your Covid exposure come from?

Could not have said it better myself. From episode 1, she has been delusional about her entire situation in life, which could be attributed to their isolation and cult brainwashing. She may have been a Very Important person there, but since the show has started and progressed, it’s like her ego and her demands have gotten worse and worse. She has always had horrible style and taste, and her expensiveness has just gotten worse, without a refinery or less vulgarity in what she chooses to wear and furnish her home with. As much as I hate to pick at anyone’s physical appearance, she is one of the homeliest women I think I’ve ever seen, yet she parades like she thinks she’s the most attractive thing on earth. The attitude has soured and dulled even more, too. She doesn’t care who she is rude to or who she steps on to get her way, and it’s cost her her family. It’s not just aging, it’s ugly on the inside, ugly on the outside. I can’t with her.

I mean how many seasons of Flavor od Love were there? Women literally fighting over Flava Flav? Kody stands a chance for sure.

Maybe Kody has a bunch of pretend wives that he always wanted but never had, like all the kids Meri wanted but didn’t have. Listen, y’all know that if there are women who marry serial killers in prison or Charles Manson ow whoever, Kody has a chance at more sister wives.
