  2. That's correct. Both showings of TC: Big Gay Wedding are supersized. The first runs from 10-11:15 as I mentioned above, with the repeat episode running from 11:45 p.m. to 1:01 a.m. WWHL is sandwiched in between from 11:15 to 11:45.
  3. Jeff Daniels is James Lipton's guest on tonight's Inside the Actors' Studio running on Bravo from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern. http://tvschedule.zap2it.com/tv/inside-the-actors-studio-jeff-daniels/EP001367710310?aid=tvschedule

  7. Liza Weil, known for Gilmore Girls and currently starring as Bonnie in How to Get Away With Murder appeared as Karen Larson who leaks info on Leo's addiction to the Republicans in Take Out the Trash Day from S1. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0917962/?ref_=nv_sr_1
  8. I'm so glad you quoted this one! I wanted to list this the other day but I couldn't find the exact dialogue. Leo's delivery on "thanks for loading me up with that image" is so funny to me. Preceded by Josh saying, "Toby, Sam's getting his ass kicked by a girl!" (I think it was the first TWW quote I posted way back, pages ago, in this thread.) Definitely one of my favorites.

  11. Glad you bumped this thread, Cooks. It reminded me that Cooper had a few interesting tweets on Sunday. https://twitter.com/KCooperRayCHS/status/681199963704061953 https://twitter.com/KCooperRayCHS/status/681281413346365440 https://twitter.com/KCooperRayCHS/status/681281862401191936 Sounds as if he's going to be a regular in Season 3!

  14. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/12/24/agent-carter-lyndsy-fonseca-dancing-with-stars-crossover-dwts There are further details about her appearance at the link but I didn't want to quote them as it's very spoiler-y. I have to admit I'm disappointed that evidently we're only getting Angie for one S2 episode. :(
  15. Jamar's Seven Nation Army would be my #2 favorite audition. I thought he was great and should have won that season. Cee-Lo had other ideas. :/

  17. This one! I so wish he would have picked a coach other than Christina. I've always felt she took him in the wrong direction.
  18. I'm glad you brought this up. Although I've watched Top Chef from the very beginning, I never watched Just Desserts so I hadn't seen that. I'd always assumed that there was a much more in depth explanation of the rules for each challenge but it's good to have it confirmed. I would think that they were given a tutorial on how to use the solar cookers, other than just "turn it toward the sun." :/
  19. Martin Sheen had proactive quadruple bypass surgery last week and is reportedly recovering very well. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-martin-sheen-quadruple-bypass-surgery-emilio-estevez-20151218-htmlstory.html
  20. I know! I can remember that during the last few years of the show's run, it was already in syndication. In the NYC market where I lived back then, the syndicated episodes ran M-F at 7 and 11 p.m. I used to love Mondays the best when I'd watch "old" M*A*S*H at 7, "new" M*A*S*H at 9:00 on CBS, and then "old" M*A*S*H again at 11! I loved the show so much! Certainly my favorite "comedy" of all time. Quotes around comedy as the show did drama just as well as it brought the funny. I do hope that the younger members of the forum will consider watching it at some point.
  21. It definitely felt as if Philip (Manbun) was networking when he shook hands and introduced himself to the sea urchin supplier. I suppose it makes sense as he is a southern California chef but it came across as very self-serving. Perhaps that's what the editors wanted us to see though. I wasn't bothered by Wesley. While his sloppy kitchen habits are not impressive, I do believe he's a very good chef. He stood up there at JT and took all the criticism directed at his dish and showed that he understood exactly why his dish failed and agreed with it. I'm sure it was extremely embarrassing to stand there in front of the former owner of the restaurant where he is now the executive chef. He knows he's much better than the food he presented, but that matters not a whit when what's on the plate is not very good. I'm glad he wasn't the one sent home. I think we're going to see some very good dishes from him. No matter how good her dish was--and it seemed to be one of the very best--how was Karen even eligible to beat her head to head competitor? The chefs know just how many portions they have to serve. If they're not able to put forward that number, they haven't complied with the challenge. She should not only have been ineligible for the overall win, she should have lost her round. She certainly wouldn't have gone home, nor would she have been in the bottom three but she sure shouldn't have been in the top three when she messed up badly. I think it was a good episode and I do feel that I'm starting to get a handle on who's who.
  22. RE: Keeping up consistency. I haven't done a re-watch but I seem to recall that when giving the rules for the challenge telling the chefs they'll be cooking for 200, we hear Padma tell them to be sure to keep up their consistency, but we don't see her saying it to them. I remember thinking that her voice had a different tone when presenting this information. It may have been a voice-over, edited in after the fact to back up the judges' decision to PYKAG Garrett. Of course, consistency should be a given for the level of chefs represented here, but I think a point was being made. I didn't remember this while I was watching JT but I think Garrett's elimination was foreshadowed.
  23. Aaron Sorkin has received a Golden Globes' nomination for Best Screenplay for Steve Jobs. If you're a fan of the film--I am. I thought it was brilliant--you'll be pleased to know that Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet also received nominations. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/la-et-mn-golden-globes-2016-nominees-winners-list-story.html
  24. It's All Connected. :) I actually laughed out loud when he said it!
