  1. Yea, he probably knew if he was to fight against Truely leaving the state he'd have to establish paternity, and that would mean child support, so...... Plus it didn't seem like he gave her much attention when she lived there anyway. Along with most everyone here, my opinion is that he only cared about Christine leaving as far as it was a rejection of his royal highness. In his mind, Kody is the rejector, not the rejectee. So realizing someone, especially someone he views as inferior to him, doesn't think he's that great anymore is a major blow to his psyche. He does not know how to handle that. Plus, Kody needs turmoil and drama like the rest of us need oxygen so the chance to perform his play, 'The Anguish Of The Betrayed' is irresistible. As is looking like a lunatic in general.
  2. I would be more surprised if they didn't owe for those years than if they did. Somebody must have told them they had to pay taxes on this income, surely Kim did anyway... I'd hope. I just really want to know what they were thinking. This is the only thing I want to hear Drew ask them at the next sit-down. The ONLY thing.
  3. How can you just not pay your taxes and still sleep at night, the IRS is not who you want to mess with. They have authority to take everything you have, and will ever have, to get their share. Fair or not, that's the reality. Approaching $1M in back taxes! It could be that their big money days are already over. Just paid over half a million and still owe over $300K? That might be the lions share of what they make this year, which they will also have to pay taxes on. My top financial priority would be paying off the IRS, followed by any other debt, then save, save, save everything else I could, because this gravy train is quickly slowing down.
  4. Madisen was trying to give some decent advice, but Rachel is a hot head and already knows everything. Madisen doesn't understand that once you say what you have to say, that's it, stop now. She hasn't been around the block enough times to know that when someone comes back with phrases like 'Yea but...' at everything you say they don't want your advice, even if it's helpful. And even though it was good advice, to help keep things calm between Rachel and her mom, it was weird that Madisen would think it was somehow her place to dive into a personal matter like that with someone she's never even met in person before. Especially with Rachel, that girl loooves to fight.
  5. Probably true to some extent, but it seems to me, from the article and what I've seen on the show, that the majority of mourning her marriage was done before she left. Just my take.
  6. The whole bit is funny IMO, but at about 2 min 50 seconds is where used band aids come up. I like Turner quite a bit now, but I would not want to live with him, or his shower band aids!
  7. Noah seems to at least recognize that you must plan and work for the future you want, it doesn't just fall out of the sky. And him telling Rachel that her money is not his money because he didn't earn it impressed me. I know nothing else of him, but so far he's more financially mature than anybody else in the entire franchise. How he is otherwise remains to be seen. I'm not a Kayla and Luke fan, but his mom and sister really need to butt the f out.
  8. Why does Erica have her underwear in a knot about Emerson riding in a car 'one and a half weeks postpartum'? She makes it sound like Mason's dad threw a pillowcase over Emerson' head, hog-tied her, and threw he in the back of a van. She literally just rode in a car. Ridiculous. Is there a part 3? Because I swear I saw a teaser that the Kentucky cousins bf got someone else pregnant. Not Alex, Noah maybe? Did I mis-hear that?
  9. It's very generous of Sia to share her wealth, but this is one positive thing about the island after show, no Sia, or anybody else besides the cast, to eat up the short amount of time.
  10. The main thing I miss about the old after show is that the players have seen the season air. They're privy to things they aren't while still on the island. I'd like to know if any opinions have changed.
  11. Hey, does anybody happen to know how long Mike's been waiting for this?
  12. Kail, the reason they don't talk to Leah about her baby daddies is because there's nothing to see there. When there was, believe us, they talked about it endlessly. It's just that you, after all these many years, are still a drama queen. Face it Kail, it's you.
  13. I have never seen Kail more full of herself, and I didn't even know that was possible. Looks to me like they edited the episode to wrap-up Kail's time on the franchise for good. 🎉Hooray! And their goodbye to her was airing her being a smug twat to boot. Thank you for that, MTV. It's not even my birthday! Wow, Bri is very petty. I'd never spend money on a treadmill as a burn, but I admit I laughed at the idea of sending Kail a clown costume with makeup! I do hope Bri did that. Kail would be absolutely seething over it. Especially if it happened after Kail's lawsuit was thrown out. And how ironic of Kail to comment on how much money Bri put into insulting her, when Kail spent almost four TIMES an average annual salary to cause trouble for Brianna. Make that closer to seven times if Kail has to pay Bri's attorney fees as well. These two are so immature. It really is time for all of this to be over. Especially for the girls grown women who've been here so long they think they run things. Reality check in 5...4...3...2...
  14. And it was the best monkey run by a non-monkey I've ever seen. 😄 I'm so bummed about Ponderosa, I want to see how everyone is welcomed (or not so welcomed). I want to see them see themselves in the mirror for the first time because, damn, these folks are really wasting away. Couldn't they at least let the castaways do video diaries and some group clips? I like to see who they are when they are fed and relaxed.
  15. As usual Brianna has to make sure all of the invitations and planning goes down in front of Stella. Now if Luis doesn't show up Stella will be let down. Plus, because it was a daddy/daughter lunch, the fact that Nova's dad actually loves Nova more than Stella's dad loves Stella is more glaring than it normally is. It's not Brianna's fault that Luis is a deadbeat, but it is 100% her fault that she keeps setting Stella up for the fall. DO NOT FUCKING TELL HER HER DAD IS COMING TO SEE HER, YOU DOLT. If he shows up it's a pleasant surprise, but if not then no harm. Why can't she get it through her thick skull after all this time? MTV ended the episode before we see what happens, so maybe he does show up, but my point still stands. She has diarrhea of the mouth when it comes to what she says in front of her girls.
  16. One thing, aside from the symbolic gesture, that stopped either of them from saying they're using it, but keeping it instead was when Jeff thought it would be cool to suggest they don't go vote, but rather do everything in the open. That means Maryann and Drea had to play their idols first, before what was considered the vote, and Tori had to prove she was actually playing her SITD. That gave everyone else the opportunity to act accordingly. They should have went to vote like they normally do and let everyone vote based on what they think could happen. I doubt anything would have changed, but it took the opportunity to bluff away from Maryann, Drea, and Tori.
  17. I think Jeff said, last week or the week before, that they added 6 new scrolls, so there are 12 now, with 2 saying 'SAFE'. Same 1 in 6 odds, but now SITD could save more than one player. It would have been the best thing ever if both Tori and Lindsay played SITD and received a 'safe' scroll. Everybody would have been safe and maybe TPTB might finally realize how out of hand all these advantages have become.
  18. Am I the only one who had no idea Mike is Black? I legitimately did not know that, but more than one person has mentioned it. Boy did the first team to tribal mess things up! Drea did not bother me, but I wanted to see her go tonight. Well not her actually, but all those advantages. No one player should have so many. I thought I'd be happier to see Tori go, but not like this. I wonder if all the pre-jury boots had been sitting there as well, and the actual vote-offs-by-race could be visualized, would Drea have gone? It did look terrible with Chanelle and Rocks sitting over there, knowing Drea had a high chance of sitting with them. But it really didn't represent anything race related, just that #'s 6 and 7 were both Black and happened to be the first jury members.
  19. It's much easier for Janelle and Christine to be friends now that they no longer have a say in the others life. By removing that, and the other 3 spouses, who radiate tension and negativity, there's virtually no source of conflict anymore. Also, their kids are siblings and Christine mothered them all. The kids want to spend time with their mothers, as well as each other, so it's natural that they would be spending time together. Basically it's the family minus Kody, Robyn, and Meri. Not the other way around like Kody and Robyn seem to still think. If we're talking about who they are today then I think all this plays a part. Who they were years ago is irrelevant.
  20. Gotta love it when people or organizations think others' salvation goes through them. 'You disagree with me? You're leading your wives to hell, then'! Because 1. Salvation for sure depends on what other people think, and 2. Women are irrational and child-like, therfore must be led to heaven or hell. Can't get anywhere on our own! 🙄 Unfortunately the majority of the women in these groups have been raised to believe this about themselves.

    S42 Tori Meehan

I think some of the issue with Tori, or any player really, could be how much they might remind us of someone we've encountered. Tori grates on me a lot (although not this last episode), but I couldn't put my finger on exaclty why. Then it occurred to me that some of it is those little under-your-breath, snide comments. I have a family member who does that and damn, if it doesn't drive me nuts. So maybe I'm less tolerant of that because that sort of thing already annoys me, where it didn't already annoy someone else. That, plus a mix of other subconscious cues. Because I loved Michaela, who many others couldn't stand, but don't care for Tori, and it could be argued that Michaela was worse. I found her totally entertaining and someone I could hang around, like many here see Tori. My niece and I disagreed on Michaela and I didn't understand what she couldn't see in her. 😄
