How did I not remember they had back taxes? Did they have to take equity out twice to cover them? I have no reason to believe they gave Janelle anything, but her comments this episode, coupled with the timing of the refinances, made me wonder. The only reason I could see Kody doing that would be because as the land appreciates Janelles share also gets larger. He'd pay her today's market price and sit on it for however long and make more later. He'd only do it if there were a benefit for him and his wife. Unless...Janelle said she'd get what's due her, one way or the other, and they could cash out some equity or she could go completely scorched-earth in a tell all book that would make her way more money than she was asking for. Bring receipts for the financials and all. I know she'd never threaten him like that, but it's fun to imagine Kody's head exploding over it. And Robyn might shed actual tears.

I'm pretty sure the production team dislike Kody and Robyn. I feel like the whole great-parents-on-the-first-day-of-school was added to show contrast. And I loved how Christine almost laughed out loud when Kody told her to 'soak in' what he just said. I get second hand embarrassment watching how stupid he is.

At this point in the timeline I don't know why Christine isn't telling them to fuck off already. I get why she had to manage Kody in the beginning, but now? She's all but gone, she needs nothing more from him and there isn't much conversation ledt to be had. So when Robyn got outright bitchy Christine should have told her all kinds of things. Because I can 1000% see Kody demanding everybody take sides between him and Christine. Anyone who dares not shun and shit-talk Christine will be an enemy. Since we know J and C are still friends, possibly better friends than they ever were as sister wives, that could easily be the straw that broke the camels back. We are only seeing up until Christine leaves, none of the aftermath (in TLC time) has happened yet. Since it's been over a year since this happened in real time, there's been plenty of time for Kody to unravel further, declare any friend of Christine's is an enemy of his, and wreck things even further. This is what could be different now. Janelle is very likely to shove any ultimatums up Kodys ass.

And this is probably why she bought a house right off the bat. She was setting herself up to not be completely screwed over when she pulled the trigger a few years later.

And of whom 90% are adults, Savanna is almost an adult, and Truely didn't even notice anything had changed for months. I really don't count Robyn's kids because they never had the same type of relationship with Christine as the others did. For them it's more like the aunt, who her parents trash behind her back, is moving to a different state.

Kody says that Christine wanted love without giving love??? Excuse the fuck outta me, but Christine was the most giving of all of them for a long, long time. That's why all the main kids love her the way they do. Kody, Meri, and Robyn would really be better off if they didn't talk on camera. OH! When Robyn says "truth be told, she was talking about leaving before we came to Flagstaff", she was trying to make Christine look bad, but if she thought about it for a hot second she might realize that Christine isn't making a hasty decision and gave Kody more than plenty of time to meet her half way. Christine was jealous of the legal marriages imo, but I bet she is thanking her lucky stars she isn't going through a legal divorce with Kody. That would be 10X worse.
