  1. As soon as it was obvious John's story had holes, I knew he was covering for either Ryan or Lori. So, is John a free man now? Mare had to do what was right, even if it meant arresting her best friend's son. As Lor said "you had John". But it was pretty great that the duty of being a cop and arresting the true killer were more important to her than protecting Lori for the sake of their friendship. Hope Ryan isn't charged as an adult (all things seem to indicate he won't). And it ends with Mare starting the healing process. All in all, it was pretty fantastic. Less about the crime and more about the lives of Mare and the Easttown folks. Hope there's a seson 2.
  2. Yep. I'm thinking maybe his character will play a role next season? Otherwise, it's just baffling. Maybe the covid-related delays and stuff axed his storyline. I mean, Dan said he was finishing the editing of the finale a few days ago. I liked the finale. I knew Madison would call off the wedding. Hope the Kedison thing is done for good. Well, some of us are on the Kevin/Madison camp, some of us are on the Kophie camp, but all of us can agree that Tess is an insufferable brat. And Beth catering to her every demand doesn't help. That all said, I'm gonna miss this show after it ends.
  3. Justin was SO handsome as Oliver in Smallville (minus the frosted tips). I almost forgot my crush on Tom Welling (almost, Tom!)
  4. Yeah, TV execs tell the truth all the time. ;) Just like with Aaron and Tori Spelling, I am sure Tori went through extensive auditions where no one knew she was the boss's daughter. That's how she got the role.
  5. I am! I'm intrigued. Brooke is a mess. All the actors are great, especially Uzo. She is magnetic. I didn't watch the previous seasons because I didn't have HBO back then. I have no idea if the concept of the show is interesting enough for 20 + episodes. But I'll stick around for now.
  6. True. It's one of the reasons I cannot stand this Kevin-Madison pairing. Seems like he used it as a way to put wifey on the spotlight. Ugh.
  7. Kudos to those who guessed it was John Ross all along. The plot is reminiscent of Broadchurch, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
  8. I thought it was pretty clear that's the case. John took Billy fishing probably to kill him there, say he confessed and then died in some accident (drowning?) or stage his suicide.
  9. Dawn was incredibly selfish, and I believe, even though her dishes were good, that she was the reason her team failed. They couldn't have a proper planning because she couldn't care less about the team, the progression of the meal, or anything else. Total prima donna.
  10. Good guess! I totally forgot about Joshua Malina. They wouldn't have brought him in if his character didn't have any relevance in the plot. I very much doubt he would be brought to TIS for only a small cameo.
  11. That's the million dollar question. Of course it will, if it happens. Adult Kevin is consistently shown as someone with character and integrity and I don't think they would ruin that by having him leave a woman at the altar. But hey, they could go through with the wedding. It certainly would be more shocking than the wedding being called off.
  12. Whoever said upthread that Madison will realize that she doesn't want to get married to Kevin, and that he will be secretly relieved, and the wedding party will turn into some kind of "we'll raise our kids together and be friends forever" Pearson family celebration thing got it right, I think. Or, it could be only (my) wishful thinking.
  13. Mare is such a black hole of misery and everyone around gets pulled into it. Damn.
  14. OMG ZABEL, noooooooo!!! I am destroyed! Here's hoping he survived, but that looked like a bullet right through his head. So, Erin's case is not connected to the other two girls. Damn, this show is so good.
  15. Yeah, me too. But real people's tastes are different from the fancy food chefs and high gastronomy critics tastes. I wouldn't want to eat most of the dishes these people present. I like Gabriel and am still bummed about his exit. As soon as he got paired up with Nelson, I knew he was a goner. Am sorry about Avishar too, he's so nice. I am so ready for Maria to be PYKAG'd. Cannot stand her.
  16. Could we find out that Madiosn is a psychopatic serial killer who's been evading the police for years, but is finally caught, just in time for the season finale? The police could barge into the wedding as they're saying their I do's and arrest her. She gets a life sentence and we get rid of her. Now that's what I'd call a happy ending.
  17. OMG my Japril is back and that is all I care about.
  18. Grey's has killed off so many major characters over the years, that it doesn't have any impact anymore. Oh, another character died? Just a regular day in Shondaland. Grey Sloan (or whatever it is called now) is truly the deadliest hospital in America.
  19. They'll probably save that for season 6.
  20. The birth mother story was useless, added nothing to the story, was cheap and predictable. I knew Randall would go swim, "meet" Laurel's ghost and scream in the lake just like her about 15 minutes before it happened onscreen. Ugh.
  21. But wouldn't he at least have the decency to find where she was buried? Visit her grave? Be at least curious about how her funeral went? Or who paid for her burial? That storyline has so many plot holes, I'll use it to sift my tapioca flour.
  22. And Aneurin Barnard ♥ The White Queen is my favorite, too, followed by The Spanish Princess. Didn't care much for The White Princess. George's death by Malmsey Wine still haunts me.
  23. A goood read on the choices the showrunners made about the finale. And STARZ will have an Elizabeth I series, though not done by the same showrunners. The Spanish Princess creators on the series finale and giving Catherine a proper send-off
