I honestly don't understand cancel culture or, mostly, why one celebrity is called out for a behavior and another is not. Why is someone canceled, but another person, who has made no bones about doing terrible things not? For example, why is Eminem still a thing? He has basically made an entire career on the back of being horrible/abusive to his ex. I just don't understand the lines.

I always wanted Scott/Laura to work out after LL imploded, and I was annoyed that they dropped that so clumsily. From what I remember, Scott/Laura were a couple offscreen for quite a long time only to come to town, get married, and then divorce almost immediately, and it wasn't well done. But, I do like Laura with Kevin, and I do like that they made the last Kevin/Lucy breakup as much about him being a shitty partner as about her eventually cheating on him. Not as an excuse. It also tied neatly to his "hey, lets keep Ryan in a mental hospital and tell NO ONE" dumbassery. ETA: and now that I remember that Scott and Kevin have shared 3 wives already I'm becoming concerned they will turn out to be related. And what might happen if Scott and Dr. O. hit the skids.

I mean... they did get married spur of the moment in the jail with him behind bars, so probably a cheap dress is appropriate.

Technically BLQ has committed fraud for filing paperwork for Bailey, but I don't even thing that the real world would prosecute for that under the circumstances. Custodial Interference? Definitely, but Peter has not been in a position to assert parental rights, so.... probably not criminal. Filing a false report by saying that the baby was kidnapped... yeah, but again would most likely not be prosecuted anyway. Maybe a fine if anything if it came before a judge. And who in Port Charles is in a position to hold their feet to a fire about it, and why would they bother? The real consequences are going to be the ones that they conveniently sidestepped with Wiley. Bailey doesn't connect with Maxie, and she doesn't know how to sooth her or her personality quirks or anything. And along with Val, who is already bereft about losing Bailey, BLQ and Chase (especially BLQ) are having the baby they have been raising ripped away. Now, yes, BLQ knew it was coming all along, but it will still hurt her.

Trust me, living in the same house and continuing to be in a romantic relationship do not automatically corelate. I lived with a former couple who still lived together and were friends who raised their son together for the stability of it. Their son has autism and when they attempted to separate when they broke up.... it did not go well. This lasted..... 6 years. Now, when/if these gentlemen decide to move on to cohabitate with a different partner... that will be the test of the situation. I'm happy for Anderson and his friend that they have a new baby and for their older son who gets a little brother.
