  1. I loved love loved this series. Patricia Arquette I think will get two Emmy noms, for her Hulu series and Dannemora but Michelle Williams could win in a surprise.
  2. This show is all about the heists. Last season, they pulled off a major one. It's great to have this show back even though after a year I forget most of what happened in the past season.
  3. But who was that baby at the end? Was that a flashback? Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse only had one child together: Nicole.
  4. Why am I all confused by the final scene in tonight's episode? Did Gwen Verdon have a second child with Bob Fosse? Did they adopt a second child? Was that scene of her with a baby and her friend with a baby all in Gwen's imagination?
  5. She has to jump through hoops to keep that creep who is her husband.
  6. The reunions used to be good. Remember when Jeff traveled on the subway train with that urn holding the votes? I also hate the final episode having Jeff and the audience shoe horned in. This show changed. The thrill is gone and as I said already: a final two is way more exciting to see who the final person pics in his or her million dollar decision.
  7. Chris was the 3rd voted out on day 8. He was the 2nd player to return on day 35. I think the problem was production. They only allowed 2 players who were voted out to return and the 2nd player returned too late in the game and we saw it on finale night. So we saw very little of Chris during this season and then he goes on to win. This is actually absurd and an embarrassment. How does that even happen? I was shocked. I also think the format of having three go to the final is awful. It used to be two, and the winner of the final competition made the choice of who he would sit next to and Jeff called it a million dollar decision. I hate this fire making challenge.... it takes away the power from the final comp winner and the fun was to see if that winner would make a smart decision or be loyal to an alliance member.
  8. I cannot believe Chris won. He was not even present with the gen pop until a few days before the 39th day. This idea of allowing anybody back into the game after they are voted out shoots the show's concept in the foot. Seriously, how could he win? How does a guy win who was in another location for almost the entire run of the season? It is like a teacher giving an award for "student of the week" to a student who was absent all week. This final episode was preposterous. good article at People
  9. My speculation is this: I think, based on this last episode, that Weiss and Benioff are infusing their own political agenda in to the end and they want to say that "war is hell." Nobody wins. And to do that, they totally had to go off the charts and create scenarios that made no sense to the previous plot lines. The whole series was about the fight for the Iron Throne. There will be no Iron Throne. The entire civilization will disappear like Atlantis. Nothing will be left, except maybe one couple wandering off to find a new home and tell the story of what was once Westeros. It could be Sam and his ancestor George R. R. Martin writes the books.
  10. I loved it. I would love it even more if I understood it.
  11. I did not even understand it.... stupid me. Was Tyrion a traitor? Was he trying to have Jamie orchestrate a false surrender? Is that why Cersei looked so smug at first? Did I say I am confused? And why was Varys killed? Because he spilled the beans about Jon?
  12. I think the season wasted the first two episodes and then the third episode was too dark to see and the fourth episode was about nothing. I will be very disappointed if the show ends with some politically correct "council." The only way for this show to go out with a bang is for the writers to create a totally shocking final episode. It has to be a mind bender... like wow, I never saw THAT coming. If Bran is sitting on the iron throne, like who really cares. But the secret of Bran's warging during that great battle has to be revealed. If he goes back to the past..... and he saw something totally remarkable, well THAT would be a great ending. But it seems like the season is crawling to an end and everybody was bored, even the actors who could not even see a misplaced coffee cup. The final episode of a series is always scripted to be phenomenal (Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Bob Newhart, etc.). I still maintain that this is George R. R. Martin telling this story of his ancestor, Sam, to his grandchildren on a Christmas Eve and when he puts them to bed he says "Go to sleep and stay warm. Winter is coming."
  13. Can Arya use her skills to change her face on another person? It would be great if she put Missandei's face on Jon and had him ride that dragon to KL. Maybe that is why Euron looked so shocked. Also, when Bran "warged" where he was remained a mystery for the viewers but we know he went into the past. I think where he was will be revealed and will totally change how this show ends.
  14. I do think Arya will make use of her "training" and appear in the next battle wearing a face. Dany is no good.... she killed Sam's father and brother because they would not "bend the knee." She is power hungry. She has layers but she has to go. Who is "all good?" Bran is good but I do not see him sitting on the Iron Throne. He is a "sidekick." I think all signs point to Arya... but on the other hand I think most of them will be dead so it will be the Atlantis of that world.
  15. I love this! Who within that world was a robot and who was a paying guest?
  16. I think the entire area will also be destroyed... in ruins from fires and other destruction and all that will remain is debris. In war, everybody loses. There can never be one person sitting on the Iron Throne. Maybe the only thing that will remain in the next to last shot is a hand-carved stag. That toy will be held by one of George R. R. Martin's grandchildren as he is telling them the story of his ancestor in Game of Thrones.
  17. I think at the end of episode 6 they will all be dead. Each and every last one of them. The final scene will be George R. R. Martin telling the story of his ancestor, Samwell Tarly, to his own grandchildren.
  18. It was good to have GOT back. I was a little disappointed at the slow start and expected this episode to be "movie length" and more thrilling but it worked because it tied them all cohesively together and now they can go forward to a conclusion.
  19. Yes, seems so. When I saw Rebecca in that bed at the end it reminded me of the finale of SIX FEET UNDER when we saw Claire on her death bed.
  20. Maybe Kate died? Kate was there? I have to rewatch.
  21. I think the shocker is that she at some point hooks up with Nicky?
  22. I loved this episode, but it was so obvious to me that the writers think it is the actors' tour de force. It was like a setup for an Emmy grab. And that is OK. They ARE great actors, but for some reason (especially with the next episode being the last of the season) I feel like nothing has actually happened this season. 1. Kate had her baby 2. Randall and Beth had a big fight 3. Kevin found Nicky and lost Nicky and began drinking And now we wait until October 2019?
  23. I sort of changed my mind about this episode after I watched it again. I liked it. Maybe I pay more attention to the details on a second viewing.
  24. Maybe. But I think they are just making him look bipolar. So many of the characters just no longer seem right. Beth also has a bipolar feel to her with regard to her kids. And I am not liking Kevin any more. For me, something changed with this show. I don't want to say it is no longer "heartwarming" but it has a real weird angry feel to it now. I think Jack kept the balance. I know he is still around in the episodes, but this show for me changed lanes. I don't like the present day plots: I am not interested in the "political Randall" story line, I don't like the "Beth the dancer" story line (although I appreciate her having aspirations) and I hate to admit I am not interested in Kate. I think this series thrived best when the scenes were with the kids in the past when Jack was alive. Jack had charisma and grounded this show.
