  1. I choose Other: the raccoon from BIP is flown in, bites both Shawn & Nick in the ass, they get rabies and die, and everyone wins!
  2. It's easy to be comfortable with your body when you're a size 0. I've given up hoping for a plus size Bachelorette or even a plus size contestant on the show. Maybe somebody that is a size 6.... That red dress was amazing! She looked good without looking cheap and sleazy. A lot of dress that have that extremely low cut can come across as stripper-ish with large melons pressed inside but because Katlyn seems to have a bit smaller chest the dress looked very sexy and "oh la-la". I agree, this season's hometowns just seemed to informal. Both families seemed terribly uncomfortable, especially Nick's family. I guess because they went thru it before, IDK, they just had this look on their face like oh God here we F'in go again =(
  3. I was just about to say the exact same thing! I remember when Juan Pablo was announced as the next Bachelor--I was so excited because I thought he was cute and seemed like a nice guy on the show, well we saw what a catastrophe he turned out to be. So no I don't get excited for anyone anymore even though I did like Ben on this season.
  4. Agreed! As far as patriotic musicals go none can top James Cagney in Yankee Doodle Dandy it's my go to for the 4th of July. Maybe because 1776 is actual facts and we know of the struggle America faced freeing themselves from the British to put that struggle to music just seems weird. Yankee Doodle is just so uplifting and that's what I think of when I think of musicals. Whew you said a mouthful there! See maybe that's why 1776 doesn't work for me; I've saw Giamatti's John Adams first and saw how dark it can get so to put that to music--IDK just weird.
  5. I too am enjoying The Seventies specials they are airing on Thursdays. I didn't see it last night but I have it saved on my DVR for today. Between this show and Somebody's Gotta Do It with Mike Rowe CNN is really turning itself into a channel competitive network channel with good programming. And of course as long as it's home to AC 360 I'm always in! IKR?! I won't get into my opinion of Donald Trump but I just adore Anderson Cooper and I thought he handled that interview well.
  6. ABC is trying to so hard to make Britt and whatshisface a thing. I wish they would go back to showing outtakes and funny bloopers from the show. It showed a lighter, funnier side of they guys. And it gives us a chance to see what they look like without their heads shoved up the bachelorette's ass.
  7. Shawn has really become a pill about this I Hate Nick thing. Good grief dude let it go. I did find it funny though how Shawn can't even say Nick's name. When the two of them were sitting on the bench waiting to see what will happen with Joe I specifically remember Shawn saying to the camera that me and "the other guy" are waiting for Katlyn to come back. The other guy?
  8. I agree somewhat but I would guess Katlyn simply didn't want to end things with Joe on such a sour note so maybe she thought a hug would help ease her mind a bit *shrug* but yeah there is no law saying you can't be angry/bitter/upset with the Bachelorette. I'm sure stuff like this has happened before but the producers just decided not to show it, ya know keep the star of the show in a good light. But it seems this season they want to drag Katlyn thru the mud a bit.
  9. From what I saw last night Mr. Unlovable Ben is going to be the next Bachelor. He and Katlyns date just seemed liked a America Meet Your New Bachelor promo.
  10. I was wondering this as well. Maybe he doesn't have to look at the painting right away....IDK but my guess this was a bit of writing fudgery simply to get the scene. It would have really killed the moment if as soon as Dorian was shot he goes running into his little hide-y hole to heal PLUS Victor would have seen him do it & could just simply follow him in there. What got me was the way she mocked his "first time", good gravy gurl! Victor really got the sympathetic character this season despite the fact that he kinda brought this all on himself.
  11. LOL! To quote Mr. Lyle "Surely you jest..." Enh I like Sembene as well but sometimes we need to let loved characters go. Bringing them back always seems to cheapen the character & they never have that same spark. Well I think Victor didn't know that Dorian was immortal and with Lily and his intent on killing in general, after what he experienced in Madame Kali's house I can see why he would want to just kill all his creations. Yeah it was a little bit overly dramatic but on this show all of that is forgivable.
  12. I was thinking the exact same thing absolutelyido. It's long over due that Vanessa finds out what Ethan is and if he is the hound of God then I would think once the werewolf version of Ethan sees her he wouldn't kill her. Not sure if she knows how to control him but IDK maybe I guess. As far as who the female is that Ethan is attacking I was kinda hoping it would be that awful little brat Hecate! She and Ethan's story lines have entwinded a bit this season so it would be sweet justice for her demise to come from him and have Vanessa take care of Mrs. Poole herself.
  13. I just find Jeremy somewhere between an asshole and a bore. A boring asshole perhaps. Enh his character just isn't that interesting and honestly I still have to look up his name to remember who the F he is. I like Rachel & Adam together as friends but to me it seems like a cliche to have them as a couple. Some tv characters are just meant to be really good pals and not lovers.
  14. Not a lot of spoilers in this article but it does give the finale word on Sembene and possibly another character death... http://www.realtytoday.com/articles/18164/20150701/penny-dreadful-season-2-finale-spoilers-vanessa-attempts-defeat-demon.htm
  15. IKR?! I do enjoy watching this sweet motherly side of Vanessa this season. I have a crazy questions though--Did we always know that Victor was a junkie? I was totally shocked by this scene! Perhaps he mentioned it awhile back, I can't really remember. I do think this is the first time we've actually seen him shooting up, right? Wow I can't believe the great sympathy I feel for him =(. Good job on the actor's part portraying such emotions. As far as Sembene goes I think he is actually dead. I rewatched this episode and you can see the blood coming out of this mouth and his eyes rolling in the back of his head so I would guess yeah he is gone. I really liked his character but the writers never really gave him any depth. For him to mention that he was a slave trader (WOW) and then nothing else just left me wanting more. I feel that info should have been revealed last season or the beginning of this. No fair to just reveal that and kill the character--so many unanswered questions remain. Speaking of Sembene did you guys notice he didn't try to run away from Ethan? He just sat there and let him attack him, as if he wanted to die? He had an escape route (I think) he could have gotten away or at least tried to but IDK, it seemed like he wanted to die. *shrug*
  16. Oh good connection to the book! Either way I kinda like that the writers aren't making the blind girl the stereotypical poor pitiful me/saint like character. While I don't like what she did do to John Clare personally I do like that she has to balls to do something as bold as this.
  17. Oh wow this show! I love every bit of it but it takes a day or 2 to wrap my brain around it. But for now I have this complaint: As a fan of werewolf lore one thing that bugs me about this show is this full moon business! Does a month pass that damn quickly on this show? Or have the "rules" gone out the window and its Ethan changes every time there is kinda a full moon out?
  18. Well it took me 4 episodes but I'm finally starting to root for Rachel, the disheveled mess she is, and Quinn, the ball busting mess she is! Yeah everyone is still pretty unlikeable but now that we delve more into why they are the way the are then yeah I can watch. I would never, NEVER, want to work with any of these people but for the viewing audience I find it enjoyable. I actually felt bad for Quinn when the black guy who is gay, sorry can't remember his name, told her that she couldn't fire him and that he would be working for Chet (not her) next season. Speaking of Chet oh good GAWD, how awful a person can you be?? Even the name Chet it reminds me of 80's yuppies. I figured Adam and that man's wife would be having sex to "seal the deal" but holy cow to see the husband and Chet watching--good grief, this is the kind of stuff you expect to see on HBO or Showtime.
  19. ITA! I have no problem with Katlyn wanting to take a fun day with a guy she likes to the next level but BARF with the overly PDAs! Hugging, kissing, holding hands is one thing but IMO the hand up her dress, the french kissing, maybe I'm old fashioned but I say keep that behind close doors. (Maybe, maybe in the pub with lots of drinking going on was ok but just walking around on the streets and in the church was just gross) And it doesn't help that I find Nick a total scuz anyway. I just get douche bag realness from him.
  20. Can I add Andy Bernard from The Office? I know he went to Cornell instead of Princeton but he still had that same Ivy League snootiness to him. His love of musical theater made him likeable.
  21. I figured Dorian was a servant or maybe a recipient of Satan not Satan's brother exactly. If he was he would be more eager to get to Vanessa. The vibe I got from him recently is that he had moved on from her to another oddity. I've never read "A Portrait of Dorian Gray" so I don't know how he ends up with this painting originally put in PD's world anything like immortality comes from the Devil. Oh and count me in as underwhelmed by the portrait. Meh, it was kinda creepy when it moved (I'm assuming that happens every time a new sin is committed) but IDK I was expecting it to be more....monsterous.
  22. Interesting....http://tvline.com/2015/06/17/american-horror-story-hotel-cast-finn-wittrock-lady-gaga-spoilers/ Some info on the upcoming cast: http://www.cinemablend.com/television/American-Horror-Story-Hotel-Everything-About-Season-5-71347-p2.html
  23. ITA! The writing on the butts (and it's usually provocative) is just cheap IMO. I can understand working hard for nice looking legs and wanting to show them off so cute khakis or jean shorts are fun in the summer but these terry cloth...undies are just stupid. Where I live it is becoming popular to wear the running shorts (the shorts with the undies sewn inside them) out and about on the town. Now those I can understand a bit more. I live in the south and it gets dreadfully hot here so the fabric is very light weight, there's no bunching or wedgies from the undies, and the summer colors they come in are cute. Short, yes but they are so easy to wear I've worn them just going out to the grocery store or walking the dog. Now about having to shave my legs every other day........
  24. I really did like Ian before this episode aired. What he said and more importantly how he said it is what gives a lot of Ivy League graduates a bad name--too cool for the room. Enh, maybe it was edited that way so no one would root for Ian and everyone would cheer for Katlyn when she gives him the boot. *shrug* IDK, it was pretty obvious to me that Katlyn simply wasn't into Ian so no lost tears for sure. I was just about to comment on what a hottie he is. The most attractive guy in the house IMO and his two-step date with Katlyn was sweet. I hope he's on BIP or maybe he will be the next Bachelor?
