Sierra and Mark appear to be Quiverfull and believe only in leaving it up to God. I actually think Mark works as many hours as possible to provide for the family. He then comes home to deal with his kids and wife. He may have legit reasons for not having time to do all the bonus chores. Mark did at least a dozen loads of laundry when Sierra and the kids were sick according to her Instagram post from last year.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

JB is there, because until she finds someone he's the main man in her life besides Jesus. -
Kendra has great skin. I was watching the women's U S Open and one of the players Anna Kalinskaya looks like Kendra or her sister.

I notice Joe is there. He's the only one of the married brothers. Tyler is still too young.

Except Jinger and particularly Jeremy have always tried to both be/use the Duggar brand and not be the Duggar brand at the same time. I wonder if Jeremy considers himself and his family disparate enough to be more marketable than the in-laws and therefore worthy of more endorsements.

I like this picture, because it's bow-less.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Lauren and her family were in the same circles as the Duggars for a very long time. They were at Zach Bates's wedding. They were at Jill and Derick's wedding. Derick released a long version of their wedding for their 5th anniversary. The first twenty minutes or so was people entering the church including David and Priscilla Waller (+kids), the Bates family, and the Swansons among others. Lauren is sister-momming for her mother and looking somewhat disinterested while still doing what needs to be done. She is definitely from their world and I think that's the main reason she got married to Josiah. Her family also attends events like Big Sandy. I think she's overdramatic, but I also feel like she seems somewhat depressed and that marriage is big adjustment for her.- 6.4k replies

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
I knew a couple that had a few losses like Joy's. After the first one, they moved. It seemed the main reason for the move was to get out of the house that held such bad memories. (Stayed in the same area.) They were able to have a child. Joy and Austin may like living in the RV for now. I expect when their family expands, they move into a house. While they're a family of three, it may be big enough. -
They also have a sister named Hannah. Tabitha, Hannah, and Abigail are all biblical names. Tabitha, as a name, would have stood out in the 80s, but Hannah, Abigail, and Gabrielle were all popular names of the time. Hannah, Abby, and Brielle are all married. Brielle got married earlier this year. They seemed to marry guys about their age, and who seem to be nice young men.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Anna Duggar was a big fan of the movie War Room. I'm seeing ads for a movie called Overcomer, which is made by the makers of War Room. -
People is more choosy about putting the Duggars in the print magazine. Most of the articles we see are online only. They did a spread of a bunch of babies born this year to celebrities in the print magazine. Ivy Seewald was included. No pictures of the parents for any of the babies were included.

IIRC, Michelle and JB have always cagey about their denomination on television, press interviews, etc. Not sure why.

So good to hear from you, my friend! I, too, seem to be down these days. Hope we both feel better! And that everyone else on this forum finds comfort, who needs it.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
I wonder if Man Camp is part of Dwain Swanson's (Si's father in-law) and Will Peters's (Michelle's nephew) ministry. It's the first I heard of "Man Camp". Their ministry is called "Courageous Men of the Word". Will Peters mentions it in his biography: "Recently I was encouraged by Dwain and some of my brothers in our group after a man camp to step out in faith and move 450 miles away from home to do the job of my dreams. So I prayed about it and felt the Lords hand of direction on our family. I now work on airplanes installing avionics removing old instruments and updating the airplane with the latest equipment. Previously during the day I worked at a drainage pipe manufacturing company, working in the machine shop. I programmed and ran a CNC milling machine making specialty parts for the equipment used in the manufacturing of corrugated plastic pipe. I grew up on a small farm in south western Ohio about 40 miles outside Cincinnati. We raised animals and crops. My parents were new Christians coming to know the Lord while in high school. When I was young my mother was my Sunday school teacher and one Sunday in the summer at the age of 6 years old, because of a message she taught from the Bible, I realized that I was a sinner headed for Hell, I repented of my sin and was saved. Later on in my high school years after a missionary came and spoke at our church and I felt like the Lord was leading to study and go to the mission field. So I went to a Christian college and studied Missionary Aviation. I received my mechanics and pilots licenses. After school things didn’t happen the way you would expect and because of some life changing events I didn’t go to the mission field. It took me awhile to realize that God plans are better than any of my plans. He allowed the circumstances in my life to mould me and shape me into an instrument to be used for his service. I’m thankful to the Lord for a loving wife (Angela) and four children he has blessed me with. Luke, Jacob, Evan, and Emily. One of my favorite verses tells of God’s power. Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? You might say the answer to this verse is found in Matthew 19:26 (another favorite verse), but Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. I love the hope these verses give us in the seemingly impossible situations of our life." -
Cade looks like Jinger's twin.

The Maxwells did that for a photo of them with some friends. One of the friends was in jeans and they made it look like a skirt. Here's the photo (girl farthest to right). It doesn't surprise me that the Maxwells did this, especially since these are their friends. (Maxwell friends must be Godly). But it surprises me the more wordly Duggars did this, especially to young ladies they don't know. -
Yep, that's Cade and his fiance Gabby "little mama" Barrett.

I also think Jill wears big clothes to keep people from speculating whether or not she's pregnant.

I appreciate y'all and the forum. I miss some people we haven't heard from in a while including @Aja, @ChiCricket, and @MyPeopleAreNordic. I also miss Arwen Evenstar, but don't think she is around.

She turned 18 last October and will be 19 this October. It should be noted that as of yet all of the Duggar/Bates brides and grooms were at least 19 at the wedding including Josie Bates, Alyssa Bates, and Kendra Caldwell, Lauren Swanson, Ben Seewald and Joy Duggar. Everyone else was older. The Bates marry their girls young to take their options and make sure they do nothing but have kids for Jesus.
