I don't think it's something to lie about. I guess it could be a lie, but it's not something I would lie about. Something people may think it makes you a better mother to breastfeed for an extended period, but a lot of people don't care and at some point it's a little odd although somewhat normal these days. It surprises, because it seems out of character for Jill. I guess it's a humble brag. Jill seems to me to be the kind of woman who cuts breast-feeding short so she can have the next blessing. Maybe she's got a premonition Janessa is the last baby.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Temperance replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
Some people just have feet like that. Her toes are bent and that's just genetic. Michelle Duggar is supposedly Irish-American and the Irish have ugly feet if my Irish-American family is anything to go by. -
North Carolina people: are there church services there or are they compling with the quarantine?

She's trying to be more relatable to people by documenting her weight struggles. Also she's been raised that no one is defrauded by feet. -
I don't think people are stupid for donating meat to a family who looks emaciated. I think it's very kind of them. I'm surprised Jill is still breastfeeding Janessa. Janessa is going to be two years old in a little over a week. I know there are women who nurse until puberty, but it surprises me from Jill.

Yes, this seems to be a trend in fundie weddings. Meagan Fosyth Ballinger, her husband Bobby Ballinger Jr., and her brother Austin Forsyth were in a wedding where the bridesmaids wore denim jackets. I don't know if they think it looks cool or they just can't get dresses modest enough, but enough fundies have done it, that it's a trend.

Anna posted pictures of them at the TTH. There were nonDuggars among them meaning the Duggars threw a party at their overcrowded house for some friends. We're talking about in the Josh and Anna thread. And that's before we get to the in-laws. Both the Forsyths and the Caldwells have not taken it seriously.

Yep they're both human! (Other than that, I see no clear resemblance.)

Speaking of child endangerment and covidiots, in the race to the bottom Christopher Maxwell might take the cake. He has six children ages 7 years to 2 months old. His wife Anna Marie is battling breast cancer, although she claims everything is fine. On March 20, 2020 a wedding took place in Florida. The bride and groom are fundies and the groom is from a fundie family well-known to FJ. Anyway Christopher Maxwell went from his home state of Kansas to Florida to photograph this wedding. I kid you not! That Christopher Maxwell is an covidiot and a**hole is obvious. His parents who also should know better are sending Anna Elizabeth and Mary over to babysit their grands. So if Chris picked up anything he'll transmit to at least Nathan and Melanie and their family and Steve and Teri (who are high-risk) and Sarah and Jesse. We know this, because Chris proudly posted the photos on his wedding photography site. Also there's one shot of the wedding party wearing masks that seems to be mocking the crisis. If someone with more tech skills, could those pictures (just the one with the masks and the one with the date), I would really appreciate it.

The Maxwells have a new post; asking how homeschooling is going and how people are making adjustments to quarrantine. They ask about homeschooling and grocery shopping. They don't ask if anyone is battling the virus, etc. The comments are appropriate. One commentor (Victoria) is sewing masks. Another (Charisa) is worried about their finances to Covid-19 layoffs and asking for prayers. I have respectfully asked if Anna Marie was going to do radiation therapy and that question was deleted. So do the Duggars, Forsyths, etc.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Most of the Duggars (in the generation) haven't had two kids that close together. Most of the kids had at least 6 months until their mother became pregnant again. Of this generation. Spurgeon and Henry are the closest in age at 15 months apart. Bella is only 4 almost 5 months. If Lauren is pregnant again, her kids would be the closest Duggar grands so less than 15 months apart. Of all the Duggars/in-laws, Lauren does seem likely to have smallest age gap. This is based on her complaining that it took a "long time" between her miscarriage and Bella to get pregnant again. It may have felt like a long time to her, but it was not a long time. She miscarried in October. She was about two months pregnant in April, which it means it took less than six months. Less six months isn't considered infertile even for someone over 35 (and she was 19 at the time.) Also it's medically advised to wait after a miscarriage (current advice is around 3 months). -
I thought what Cathy said at first was that she was trusting in God, but I didn't think she was going out and breaking the quarrentine. I put her in a slightly different category than the Caldwells, who outright called it a hoax.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Covidiots! Hybrid of Covid and Idiot. People who don't take coronavirus seriously. Jill Rodrigues is a moron. I expect more of you Duggars. If nothing else, I thought they were PR savvy. I think Michelle and Josie are the highest risk. I hope nothing too bad happens them, especially Josie and the other children. -
Newest blog post from the Maxwells. "Happy Monday, y’all! I know there are lots of new normals happening, but I hope your week is starting out blessed. Today, Anna Marie is sharing the latest on her health. —Sarah It’s been a while since we posted an update but wanted to, first of all, thank each of you for praying for us. Since I last wrote here, COVID-19 has swept the nation, and I think most families are now finding themselves at home together quite a lot! For us, we haven’t felt many tremendous lifestyle changes as we tend to be home most of the time anyway, but it definitely adds another layer of complexity to figuring out my treatments. None of this complicates anything for God though, and we are excited to see Him leading. We got some good news a couple days ago! My CTC (circulating tumor cell count) has dropped to 0 (in January it was 2.3; not sure what it had gone up to when surgery was done). While in some cases a 0 could indicate “no cancer,” there is always the possibility that some of the circulating cancer cells that were previously in the blood, while not circulating now, have settled in an organ somewhere (where they can lie dormant). While we are still working toward a chemo plan of some sort it was definitely a praise that there do not appear to be CTCs in my blood. We have been consulting with various oncologists to decide on the treatment plan we feel is best for me. The Lord used some unlikely circumstances to get us in contact with a medical oncologist in Seattle, with whom we consulted remotely. He does chemotherapy in a different way than is “standard of care” yet with very good clinical success (over the years he is seeing about a 1% recurrence rate vs. 10-15% recurrence rate with standard chemo)—all of this with less toxicity and suppression of the immune system typical with standard chemo. We would love to get the chemo plan administered locally, however, because it is not yet widely used in the medical community we suspect that won’t be possible. Which means I will likely be going to Seattle for three months of treatment. As you can imagine, there are a lot of logistics to that, especially with COVID-19 right now. We are praying that we can find someone to do it locally or that God will make the way clear for me to get treatment in Seattle. I have a few ideas for upcoming blog posts. I’ll have to work to keep them pretty short (not one of my strengths) since my time is limited, but I’m excited about some special activities we’ve done recently that you might enjoy trying with your own family! A sneak preview is that we did our Scriptorium virtually with a couple other participating families by using Google’s free video-conferencing technology. Another day, we did a solidarity pack from Feed My Starving Children and free activities from Compassion International to have an afternoon/evening focused on children in poverty in other countries. It helps put “quarantine” in perspective when you think about how abundantly blessed most of us are compared to so many in the world! And it’s a good reminder to be praying and looking for ways to bless others instead of focusing solely on what’s happening in our own lives right now. Love, Anna Marie I don't understand how she's using the term chemo. There are various cancer therapies, but only administration of chemo drugs counts as chemo as far as I know. Her family is from Seattle so part of the appeal is possibly staying with her family/near her family.

Franklin has a sister who's a lot like Franklin.

Jill is deliberately baiting people. She loves to offend people with things she doesn't find offensive. She wants the reaction. She's a troll and she's trolling us. Jill, trolling people doesn't make them more receptive to your posts about Jesus. You make Jesus, Christianity and anything else you stand for look bad. You can pray I'll find your Jesus, and I continue to pray you find wisdom, common sense, etc.

No it was grey and now it's gray.

Tori and Bobby changed the name of the new baby from Kolter Grey to Kolter Gray. No one knows why.

Hopefully staying home and away from them so they flattenthecurve and the neighbors can avoid them.

Jill is stupid and easily misled. She probably too much to our fearless leader. The people she's with probably deserve Jill and each other. Jill is trying to tell use "see it's okay. I washed my hands." They also seem to be in some sort of church. Any church that lets people in for no reason during this pandemic is not a church I want to go to (If there's a natural disaster, that would be different). There seems to be quite a few fundies who don't take Coronavirus seriously. There have even been a few who died of Coronavirus (none we follow). Any person who doesn't take Coronavirus seriously is Covidiot.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Both babies are wearing knit hats and that's kind of creepy? I personally think both Josie and Lauren are trendy and are following trends many are following on Instagram. -
@Jynnan tonnix The governor of your state banned all gatherings of more than 5 people. I hope you are complying.
