Take note, Maxwells!

We only have Nurie and Nathan at the moment and it might affect their wedding (last rumored to be in July). I hope things will calm down by then. Michelle Seewald is getting married in October and I hope it's not like this in October. It might affect Sarah Mally's wedding set for beginning of May. No Duggar or Bates is engaged and only teenagers Katie Bates and her man are officially courting. Please God let there be an end to Coronavirus soon.

Most of the Duggars don't go out too much as it is. I also suspect at least two of them are pregnant already. Joe and Si don't seem to work much anyway so I doubt the quarrantine affects them much. Joy is suspected to be pregnant, but hasn't announced yet.

As far as I can tell, Steve does believe that coronavirus exists and is dangerous. I get the sense he thinks his family is relatively safe and they do self-isolate. Apparently they do go to church, but that may be cancelled now. Some of the churches in our area held services yesterday only to announce they will be discontinued now. No idea if Steve's church is doing something similar. As sad as it is, Steve is at least ten steps up from the idiots who think it's a hoax like the Caldwells, Tom Mills, etc. Steve is a judgmental jerk, who thinks people should all share his beliefs. It's telling there's only 5 comments in reply to the latest blog post. I would bet Steve refused to post a lot of comments telling him what an ass he's being.

If things go that badly, everyone including Jill R will have a lot of bigger problems beyond trying to hold this wedding. For example, I imagine it will be harder to grift during this mess. Jill likes to travel, I imagine this will hard for her. I don't particularly pity Jill R, but I'm praying this will end soon.

New blog post up on the Maxwell website. I'm posting the exact text. I disagree with Steve Maxwell. He's a jerk and that's putting it mildly. He's not the first evangelical to take advantage of people scared of coronavirus and he won't be the last. "Possible Good From the Coronavirus by Steve Maxwell These are historic times. Since the 50’s, generations have been shielded from epidemics and significant consumer shortages, except for the “gas crunch” in the 70’s. If you have the money, you can buy what you want. Media-hype over the coronavirus has induced shortages country wide. This seems to come as quite a shock to most US citizens who are accustomed to full shelves at the grocery store. People are afraid of not having food and supplies they are accustomed to and ultimately of getting the virus. There is a silver lining. Previously, many who might have had little concern about dying are now thinking about it as evidenced by their fear in contracting the virus. What might you do in addition to taking recommended safeguards? 1. Make a list of people who you suspect might not be saved. 2. Earnestly pray for them daily. Are there things you might do to help them? 3. Seek a time when you can have a heart-to-heart talk with them regarding Jesus Christ. "

Big Ed is right to want Rose to be tested. However he should be prepared to get tested himself as she has the right to demand he be tested as well. In this day and age, getting tested is really important. Lisa is 51/52. No way is she having a baby. None of these couples seem at all romantic. Geoff is absolutely horrible. Varya deserves better.

I think JB and Michelle will go. Josh, Anna and their kids will go since it's her brother. JB and Michelle will be there, since they seem reluctant to let Josh go that far way without them. JB and Michelle will bring their girls. It wouldn't surprise me if they left their boys with Joy again like they did last year. I get the sense JB doesn't want the Rod girls for in-laws for his sons. I doubt any of the married Duggar children go unless Si or John is the pilot.

I've seen that joke all over social media; it was tired the first time.

I can't tell if Felicity really is no bow or if there is a clip in her hair. I like the picture of Felicity. It's a very candid shot.

Didn't they just skip a medical test for their baby for some reason? They will not take the illness seriously unless someone needs to be intubated. Since Kendra's mother is like 40; it's probably her mother's grandmother who is most at risk. Coronavirus is different than all of the viruses listed. For one thing, it's spreading a lot faster. The reports out of Italy are truly frightening. I don't want anyone to get sick, but screw people like the Caldwells not taking this seriously.

I actually think it's fear. Jessa seems really scared of hospitals. It could be just something about her, but I would put money on it that the cult she grew up in taught to fear the outside world including medical professionals, hospitals, etc. Cults either teach people to distrust everything outside the cult, or they attract people whose natural instincts are to distrust doctors, etc. and pass their fears to other members.

These are informal notes from Jessa's birth videos. I don't think Jessa is particularly mean or arrogant in this video, but she is foolish. Her "birth team" she keeps mentioning never appeared on camera. She also mentions that Jordyn was born via c-section, but I thought Josie was only c-section during the TLC years. Jessa and Ben used to have this quote by Charles Spurgeon on their walls. "If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our dead bodies. " Because that's a cheerful thought to see all the time. People will say it's all Jessa, but it sounds like Ben to me too. She was skyping with Jill during her birth with Spurgeon. She made it sound like Jill was there at one point. She really downplays the hemorrhaging especially with Spurgeon. She almost died. With Henry, Jill let Jessa borrow her doppler, so Jessa and Ben were using the doppler to monitor the baby's heartbeat. Jessa's midwife was communicating with them by text. A actual doctor whose patient is their selves or their spouse is fool for a patient. She downplayed the hemorrhaging again. Jessa should not be giving birth at home after two hemorrhages. It is very possible that she could hemorrhage again. She claims the mold house is "like five minutes from two different hospitals". I don't know if that's true, but it might explain her reluctance to invest her TLC money in a new bigger house, which she needs. She probably won't give birth in a hospital and will keep getting haphazard prenatal care. She claims to have gotten better care from the midwife, who was out of town with Ivy. Hopefully for her sake, she will decide to give birth in a hospital and with better care.

Steve and Teri have notoriously held a service in a retirement home for years. It's notorious, because it's been speculated that the residents may not have a choice in whether to attend. It's also been speculated that Steve and Teri hold services at the retirement home to keep away from less Holy Christians, who do things like go on dates, watch tv, listen to secular music, etc. All things the Maxwells are against. It's a good way to keep the family isolated. Now it turns the Maxwells have started attending a real church service in the evenings. Which they will continue to go to. Meanwhile the retirement home has temporarily cancelled the Maxwells due to Coronavirus! The "management has decided to cancel all activities that are conducted by non-residents as of Wednesday." "They said the closure would be until April. However, we anticipate it to be extended. " The ended the blog post with this really annoying, cloying paragraph: "We’re so grateful that because of placing our faith in Jesus and accepting Him, as Christians, we have nothing to fear from the coronavirus. In fact, it is an incredible opportunity to share with others the hope we have in Jesus!" How is an incredible opportunity when people are largely staying home. There are less people out and about to proletyze to. If someone tried to talk to me about Jesus right now, I would be particularly annoyed, because of the viral outbreak. Earlier this week, Sarah asked for remedies for dealing with carsickness. The readers love to give advice so this was a popular post.

@MargeGunderson How are you? I've been thinking about you. As for me, a bunch of things I do have been moved on-line or cancelled. I hate being cooped up in the house, but I totally get why they are being cautious. I've found if you want to buy hand sanitizer, you should try asking someone. Some of the stores here carry it, but you have to ask for it. One store sold me two little ones for my purse and said these are the last two. I almost said I only need one. Then someone else came in and asked for hand santizer and the clerk said "We only have two left." So they're telling everyone these are the last two and they're keeping them behind the counter so people can't steal or hoard them. I understand this. We stocked up on stuff today, but we may need more stuff. Someone said make sure you have advil, tylenol, mucinex, other flu type medicine to help manage symptoms. It won't cure COVID-19, but it will help manage symptoms.

Birth stories are really, really popular. Lots of women like discussing them. Lot of youtubers make videos about them. It's popular with the mom blogger/vlogger set. And TLC and its parent company Discovery Channel used to have quite a few shows with thousands of episodes where random women gave birth. A Baby Story on TLC, World Birth Day on the now defunct Discovery Health, etc.

I can't believe that anyone that young running for office would have toys prominently displayed. "You think I'm young and inexperienced for public office, but I'll show you.... my toys. See here's my toy car and here's my checkers. That's right checkers, not some kid's toy. These checkers are like they have at the retirement home I have picked out for my old age." -
I thought Dan lived close enough that he and his wife didn't have to spend the night. They could go home.

No. A lot of these companies give out promotions like candy. Especially if the people only get a free product and no commissions. TLC is a television network and even they can't do proper background checks. Like the Duggar family, or the number of sex pests, etc. The latest season of Before the 90 Days (90 Day Financee) features someone with history of assault.
