The word helpmate has sidekick/lackey/underling vibes so it's why the roles can come off unequal. Carlin doesn't seem like the slave type to me. As for Michael, both she and Brandon grew up in IBLP and Brandon still works for them! If Michael had babies, she would be no different than her sisters/parents. Since they are childfree, she is allowed/encouraged to pursue other options. It helps too that Brandon's job isn't very secure as IBLP is falling influence.

I think it's good that Walmart is now requiring masks. They should have done this sooner, but better late than never. @Ijustwantsomechips I was thinking of you just now and I remembered that I saw a forum for single mothers by choice, which gives support to women who want to have kids and who already have kids. It might be nice to have a forum for support besides this one.

In other words, we ain't going anywhere so let's just wear nightgowns. I prefer Carlin's look. It was a better length and these sleeves look uncomfortable. I still wouldn't say she dressed up for the occasion, but Carlin should wear what she wants.

Sierra is promoting a water purifier machine for 250-300 bucks. Sierra is always ahead of the trends so this machine will the newest promotion. The Duggars will soon be working with them.

that's 200 bucks and the jacket was 300 bucks. Jana grew up her whole life buying cheap clothing or from thrift stores. Probably she didn't feel comfortable spending that much money. Their beliefs about money and lifestyle connect and are part of their religious beliefs. Or Jana just thinks spending that much money on clothing is wasteful. Or dumb. Jinger also got the leopard print skirt, because I remember her wearing it at some point (in Instagram posts). It's possible Jana got something that we didn't see.

Actually she didn't. She wore that jacket and the skirt last spring/winter. I remember both articles of clothing being wore in her Instagram.

The Duggars were at Lauren Andregg's wedding. Lauren is around 18/19 in age and the groom is also very young. He had several Duggars as groomsman. I'm not sure which Duggars, maybe Jed! and Jason. The pictures are on Logan Smith (friend of the couple)'s social media. I'd post them here, but I'm tech challenged. It wouldn't surprise me if Anna was there since it was in AR and she posted about summer weddings.

Carlin's dress looks like a summer sleep shirt. If Carlin's happy, I'm happy for her. Carlin should wear what she wants, but her dress is not formal imo. It could be generational, probably my mom would dress up more than I would. I also would dress more formerly if we were going to a nice restaurant rather than someone's house.

Madison Nicole had put some kind of a hold on her private Instagram, so it disappeared. (For people, who don't know much about Instagram, most private accounts still show up and show a little information. All of the posts aren't visible, but you can still tell there's an account there. Her private account had disappeared entirely.) Since it vanished around the time Jason Duggar created his Instgram, I thought maybe there would be a courtship announcement. ( I thought Madison was trying to hide posts/pictures, etc. to avoid more public scrutiny when the courtship was announced.) However her private Instagram account showed up yesterday. It was the same account. She is back to her two accounts; one for her photography business, and one for her private life. Maybe she's not courting a Duggar boy then. They did strongly suggest there would be a new courtship soon. Of course there are probably many fundie girls who would love to be matched with a Duggar boy to marry. It's been two years since Si and Lauren wed, and John and Abbie started courting, etc. I would think they'd want to share a courtship to keep interest going. However last week's rating suggest that the lack of new programming has created a captive audience who will watch the Duggars talk about pregnancies from last year, teen girls doing watercolors, and the Duggars faking social-distancing and dealing with the toliet paper shortage, etc. So they don't need to announce anything and people will tune in. Another reason to hate covid!

That's a lot to spend on one jacket. On the other hand, I'd rather guess whether or not she likes mayo.

The risk for miscarriages goes up with age. I believe her about the number. I, too am skeptical about how severe her miscarriages were, but I figured someone would edit in the word severe if I didn't say so.

Meredith seems to be Anna's favorite or at least the most featured on Instagram.

It's hard to tell what an early pregnancy looks like on any woman. Women do not all "show" the same way. Some start gaining weight, some all around, some in the midsection, etc. I've known women who lost weight early on, because of morning sickness and maybe trying to eat in a more healthy way. Jill tries to stay skinny and she is relatively thin for a woman in her forties with lots of pregnancies. My memory of her pregnancy with Janessa is she barely showed in the beginning. Jinger still looks skinny for woman half-way through the pregnancy. At Jill's age (41), her fertility should be slowing down. She had crazy fertility in her twenties and less so in her thirties. Jill is at risk for another "severe" miscarriage.

A group called the Avenue Beat has a new song, which I'm recommending. It's called F2020.

I think Jill looks great in her jean shorts. Baby showers are hardly formal events. In light of the @GeeGolly's suspicions in the media thread, it makes me worried to see Jill with Joy.

This picture looks like something one of you found, posted it here, and said "I bet Jeremy would love this." I'm gasping/amused at the fact this is something he actually posted this himself. He's like a caricature of himself at this point. Pretentious and predictable!

I'm confused myself by the two Mike Ss. After looking into the man in the photos of "our director' is Mike Schadt. He both looks like Mike Schadt (in other photos) and commentors on the Facebook post say it is Mike Schadt. Mike Schadt is the guy who married Ben and Jessa. I'm not sure what Mike Schrader looks like. Adding Mike Schadt's wife's name is Sandy and she is the one giving updates.

The Duggars have Jana to watch their kids. And they are somewhat hypocritical to talk about social distancing when there is proof all over the internet they are not social-distancing. Joy and Austin Forsyth made their own video about Coronavirus. I'm not if it's still up, but they weren't as sympathetic.

Has he ever appeared on the show? Do we know anything about him? I think he's doing okay if he's not intubated, but that could be naivete.

Yes I heard rumors that she had her third child this week, but I couldn't confirm. Meagan Ballinger gave birth to a boy named Robert Ballinger the III. Since he's the third, they're calling him "Bear" (as a nickname), which he can change when he's older if he wants. She has two girls and will be married 5 years in November.

Is he whining or making fun of wearing a mask? I'm sick of people complaining about masks. Also it would slightly better if his date were wearing a mask. If they both had masks, Jeremy's mask would look like less of a prop. This picture is also not funny. Get over yourself Jeremy, you're lucky to have her. It's not that different from all of the pictures they took in the marriage where she's looking at him and he's looking into the distance. It might be funny if more of their relationship wasn't like this and this wasn't Jeremy prefers Jinger. Right now Jeremy looks like a total jerk to me (including the first photo).
