  1. Yeah I take Vitamins B-12 and D. I take over the counter stuff, but based what my PA and APRN recommended. I agree this is common. (I'm not vegetarian so B-12 deficiency can happen to anyone.) I also lots of people are getting false negatives on their COVID tests. I have had good doctors, but also enough bad experiences that this thread is making anxious and upset. Doctors are too dismissive or judgmental with patients and this contributes to people losing faith in the medical system. I think they're too quick sometimes to write things off as mental health issues.
  2. The husband talking to the doctor about a woman's hysteria sounds like something from the 50s or even earlier. I think validating that the problem is real (even if it's psychological). Are there no more tests they could run? I've enough experiences between myself and my friends of doctors not listening to women. @Jynnan tonnix I hope your daughter feels better soon.
  3. Chelsy had the baby! Another boy! From her blog: "We are so overjoyed to announce the safe arrival of our second son, Elliot Rex Maxwell! He was born safely at home at 3:30am today, June 19th, and he tipped the scales at 8lb 4oz and 22inch long. I am doing great and have been absolutely loving getting to rest at HOME today with my guys! It was a whirlwind labor—hard and intense but fast compared to Axton’s! I can’t wait to share more with you all. Thankyou so so much to each and every one of you who were praying for us! The prayers were truly felt and Jesus answered in such a beautiful way. I am so grateful for the redeeming grace of little Elliot’s story! Stay tuned for more to come! Chels" He is undoubtably named for Jim Elliot and his wife Elisabeth although it doesn't say it. . Jim Elliot inspired Ben and Jessa to name their son Spurgeon Elliot. He was a Christian missionary, who died trying to convert indigenous people in South America in the 1950s. Chelsy's older son is named Axton.
  4. Kendra's mother, Christine Caldwell was most likely born in 1979, not 1980.
  5. The Bontragers put up a new family blog post. It's filled with pictures and it's clear they're not social distancing in the slightest. Selfish covidiots! Still no word on Chelsy and the baby. I reread her blog post about the birth of Axton and it was a whole lot crazier than I remembered.
  6. It's hard to say about Kendra's mother. Most of the people in her age group are first-generation fundie, meaning their parents and grandparents were probably religious and not necessarily fundie growing up. Mrs. Caldwell could have a high school diploma, and she may have just married Paul at a young age. There are places where getting married young is normal. She is around Jill R's age though and Jill R is second-generation fundie.
  7. I didn't know Ken Ham did that! It's surprising for some reason. For some reason I thought Ark Encounters was in Missouri, but they're both in Kentucky. According to google driving, it's about an hour from Ark Encounter to Creation Museum. I wonder why they're not closer together. Maybe they're both intended as pit stops on a longer journey. Or maybe Ken Ham can only screw over each county once and then on to next one.
  8. Duggar data is probably the most reliable of the three. Although I guess fundie wiki is right? Editing wait She must be in 1979, because she's turning 41. 1980 would make her currently 39 turning 40. Fundie wiki is wrong.
  9. I was looking up fundie related stuff and came across this conference for people interested. Evolution Exposed Conference This is a great conference for believer and unbeliever alike. Bring your doubts, bring your questions, bring your curiosity, get equipped to respond, and learn why evolution has been called “a fairy tale for grownups.” The event will conclude with an hour-long Q&A panel, where we’ll take your questions live. The online conference is Saturday, June 27, 12—6 p.m. (ET). Speakers include Ken Ham, Ray Comfort, Dan Biddle, Bryan Osborne, Eric Hovind, Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne, Mark Spence, and others to be announced. Early-bird pricing is $25 (until June 6); regular pricing is $35. Normally a conference like this would cost $100 or more, but in these difficult times we’ve made it rock bottom to allow as many to attend as possible. Pastors and missionaries can attend this conference free by applying for complimentary registration. For people, who don't remember, Ken Ham is the guy who built the Ark Encounters musuem. The Duggars and their friends love to go to Ark Encounters. I like that normally this would cost money, but in these difficult times they've made pricing "rock bottom". Also they probably reduced the cost since it's virtual and they can't offer any amenities and don't have to rent space. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the Duggars livestream this event.
  10. Another thing about Chelsy; in one of the pictures she took "today" (June/17/2020). She appears to be in public restroom with no mask. Fundies are so selfish.
  11. Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell just put up a new post filled with pictures about maternity clothes. She post pictures from various stages of pregnancy from both pregnancies. As of the time I'm posting this, she still hasn't had the baby. Baby #2 was due Monday June 15. As much as I despise her beliefs, I hope she and the baby are okay. Last time she tried to give birth at home and had to be rushed last minute to the hospital. She gave birth with assistance there. (no c-section.) The Maxwells seem to favor homebirth. Elissa has had three homebirths and Anna Marie five. Melanie is high-risk and gives birth in the hospital.
  12. This was not covered on the show, but Danny Masterson has been charged with three accounts of rape and faces up to 45 years in prison. The charges were revealed today June 17, 2020. This show has gotten some credit for this and Leah says it shows a weakening of the church. I wonder if they're just cutting him loose since he's more of a liability than an asset now.
  13. Steve Maxwell is such a good grandfather that he spends time with oldest grandson also with maybe his granddaughters, but Steve like sons and grandsons. His whole dad lessons this week is about fathers and sons. He has whole series about Leaving A Godly Legacy. The first two parts were about making sure your children (both genders) love Jesus. The third part is that as a man, you need to be a confident particularly towards your wife. Here is the Fourth Part: God inspired many Scripture authors to use the expression “son of” over 1,600 times throughout the Bible. God is purposeful and does nothing by accident. Notice that reading “son of” links the person/identity of father/mother to the son? Let’s briefly consider the need to be purposeful in influencing our children for good, because after we are gone, that impression lives on. Benaiah, one of David’s mighty men, walked in his father Jehoida’s footsteps. “And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts. . .” (2 Samuel 23:20). David’s heart and life impacted Solomon for good. “And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly” (2 Chronicles 1:1). Sadly, our negative example is far easier for our children to catch than our good one due to our sin nature. First look at David: “And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem. . .” (2 Samuel 5:13). Now see what his son does. “And he (Solomon) had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father” (1 Kings 11:3-4). Next, consider God’s timing and purpose for the mention of Judas’ father. “And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him” (John13:2). Might the mention here of Judas being Simon’s son infer some role of negative influence Simon had in Judas’ life? I wonder.
  14. If you're able to, I recommend going for a drive in the car. Sometimes one of my roommates and I just drive around and come back and don't stop anywhere. I know not everyone has car, but if you do, it's good to change scenery.
  15. It should say sisters and brothers-in-law or a sister and brother-in-law.
  16. Well a lot of the comments I saw weren't from leghumpers, they were really snarky about the possibility of #4. The leghumpers were of course defensive of Ben and Jessa. Thanks for confirming that Lily and Ellie don't speculate much. Something is up.
  17. Good! There are worse things these same churches could be doing with the money.
  18. I had forgotten about Lily and Ellie's blog. They have two blogs, one for Bates and one for Duggars. Monday June 15, 2020 they ran a filler post about Jessa and Ivy called "Ivy is Jessa' Mini-me". It includes this sentence. "Ivy Seewald is one year old, which means that Jessa and Ben could be "expecting" another pregnancy in the near future." According to people who read their blog, they don't post things like the above sentence too often. They also are big-time fans, who may have an inside track. I've thought Jessa was pregnant for a while. I think we'll have an announcement of Seewald #4 sooner than later, but it's all speculation.
  19. I was looking at Kendra's family social media. Her sister Lauren turned 20. She's living at home and seems to be her family's Jana. On the other Kendra was married a month after her 19th birthday and had a two-month-old baby (Garrett) on her 20th birthday. They have a lot of pictures of her youngest brother, and he seems to be fine. Nothing about his health. When looking through the back photos, I saw the marriage retreat again, where the couples played a game by having the husbands throw peanuts in their wives' mouthes. It's still amusing to me.
  20. I don't know, but if you google Duggars same rug. You'll find links. Most of them only show the rug owned by Jessa, Joy and Lauren, but Keeping Up with Fundies (tumblr) also shows Jinger having the rug. You can google Keeping Up With Fundies and click the second link to see Jinger/Felicity with the rug.
  21. There's one white/off white rug that every Duggar seemed to own and Jana seemed to pick it. One of those image social media sites had people passing around images of the various Duggar households and either the same rug or multiple copies of it.
  22. She hasn't turned 2. Her birthday is July 19.
