  1. Translation for @Oldernowiser Italicised part is what Priscilla wrote. 100 months ago today I married my best friend. 100 months or 8 years and 4 months Priscilla married David who is her best friend. Especially since in IBLP her only friends would be her husband and siblings. Our journey together has been full of adventure serving the Lord together. Our lives together focus on David's working for/running IBLP and godbothering random people. We now have five precious children and stand in awe at all God has done in these past few months... We have five kids and we're glad God blessed us since we were in our midtwenties when we married. So old! Also God has kept us from getting Corona. We're amazed that 100 months have flown by since we said "I do"! Time flies when you're having babies. Marriage is created by God and blessed by God and we have enjoyed all God has done in and through it. God said we had to get married so we did. We're glad, because God has blessed us with children. And God helped us get along pretty good. We are more in love with each today than ever before. Both of us weren't sure we wanted to get married, but we've really grown on each other. We cherish quiet moments together, and not just because they have become more rare, but because we know and love each other more than we every dreamed possible! Yes those rare times when the baby isn't crying or one of the older isn't asking questions or someone is calling "Mom, Mom" etc. are really good moments. Did we mention we have five precious children? They make the quiet moments all the more precious too! Thank you, Sweetheart! Thank you, Jesus! Thank you David! Thank you Jesus! Thanks guys! I let the two of make all my decisions, because it makes my life so much easier and I don't have to overthink anything. And this has made me (Priscilla) happier than I expected to be when got married.
  2. Yes Joe is definitely one of the most Koolaid drunk of the Duggars. and they could easily have at least a dozen kids. Hospital births don't prevent hemorrhaging. A friend of mine had her babies in the hospital and still hemorrhaged. (This same friend had good prenatal care.) It helps to be able to treat the hemorrhage not have to wait for an ambulance. Jessa would probably still have the same problem, but the drive between the hospital and the house is a very high-risk situation. Back to Joe and Kendra. There are many reasons they might have the most kids. They both seem very koolaid drunk and really enjoy being fundies. Kendra is young and has no complications that we know of. But the biggest reason might be the spacing. Joy and Austin, Jill and Derick, Jinger and Jeremy, all had a bigger space between one and two and that does seem intentional. All three of those couples waited until their first child was at least a year old to have another baby (even including losses). Of course both Josh and Anna and Ben and Jessa had two kids closer in age and the next kids farther apart. I think it's still a little soon for Joe and Kendra's third child. That would make this baby even closer in age than their first two. Of course anything is possible.
  3. Did we ever figure out how many kids Geoffrey has? On television, so far, he's acknowledged or talked about 4 kids by 2 different women. The 2 teen boys he hangs with seem to be full brothers and he has 2 sons with his latest ex-wife, one of whom is deceased. There are allegations that are other children and out there, at least one by each wife (all of 4 of them) and at least one whose mother was never his wife. I would like a straight answer about how many children by how many women, but I'm sure he'll never admit the real number. It wouldn't surprise if either Varya or Mary is pregnant, because that's the kind of person Geoffrey seems to be.
  4. These two are awful. My mother would have a panic attack seeing how that baby is being flown in the plane. She put her babies in car seats. I've heard that Evan is as bad as Carlin and certainly just responsible for their kid/kids. I've never liked the name of this thread, because Evan is also into himself.
  5. Which song do you mean? Her biggest hit is "I Hope". "I Hope" would be an appropriate song for Anna Duggar to sing to Josh, but not at their wedding/vow renewal. "I Hope" is a vindictive song about woman hoping her ex finds a new woman to marry who he completely gives his heart and spends all his money on and "then I hope she cheats like you did on me." Topic: Jinger had this song on her playlist.
  6. Cade called his 19 year old bride "mama" during the wedding. I haven't forgotten "Mama in all my days I've never been as enthralled by a woman as I am by you." 😂 Besides Gabby is a bigger star than most of these people including JinJer and certainly Cade. "I Hope" peaked at number 2 on the country charts and is still in the top ten. It was also in the top twenty of the Hot 100 (main chart).
  7. My memory was the Bontrager Dad talked all about Steve's vasectomy reversal, and Steve barely said anything. Speaking of the Maxwells, their blog post today was about planning for the wedding. It included pictures. Anna (Steve's daughter) and Mary Maxwell were shown being emotional about Jesse's leaving. Anna, Jesse, and Mary are the three youngest and very close.
  8. It turns out that Allison also announced her engagement her blog. Along with the announcement for new blog posts about being single, relationships, courtship, wedding planning. Also I'm not sure when they announced, because I hadn't checked her parents' blog. However the big Bontrager family blog announces the engagement now. Both Allison's blog and her parents' blog are dated today. Pretty sure all the announcements including Instagram were today. Her parents have more details. The proposal happened at some point earlier in the past. His full name is Jeremiah Helferich. They are getting married August 15th! They look really happy and he looks younger in the photo her parents used. @Sew Sumi can verify this, but I think the Bontragers always livestream the weddings? So something else to forward to!
  9. The adoptive kids look enough like the rest of the family that it wouldn't surprise me if those kids were relatives. A lot of fundies don't really like the idea of adoption. Certainly Bill Gothard and his followers were against it. Rachel may not be the most beautiful, but she's human and looks like a human being and nice girl.
  10. I'm a Catholic, but I'm disappointed and unhappy with how things are going. So I've been testing out a new denominational church. My new church has had us use whatever had on hand for communion during the livestreams. So I had wine and crackers/bread in my house that I used for it.
  11. That outfit looks the one Felicity is in the TLC promos. Only Felicity's outfit is a romper and Ivy's is a dress with leggings. True, but plenty of little girl cousins to pass it too. Not to mention Jessa can save it for her next baby girl. Ivy looks very cute though.
  12. Allison Bontrager is engaged! It's on her Instagram. She recently turned 26. All of her siblings got married relatively soon after their engagement so I expect the wedding by the end of the year. Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell, Allison's older sister, got married a month before her 27th birthday (so also at 26). Chelsy is currently having baby #2 in the next two-three weeks. Her son Axton was born January 2019. I think B name for this baby; like Bontrager for a boy or Bonnie for a girl. Chelsy is married John Maxwell, son of Steve and Teri. The Bontragers have gone back to church and are traveling and seem to be not social distancing.
  13. My roommates and I have decided were not going back to church for a long time. We'll keep watching on-line. It's not worth COVID.
  14. They're also not that different from the Duggars and other any fundies we talk about here.
  15. I definitely think the next one to announce a pregnancy is Jessa. Probably an announcement within the next few months.
  16. I've seen plenty of pictures of the Duggar boys holding their nephews and nieces. In family this obsessed with procreating I'm not sure a boy interested with babies would be a bad thing. Now some kind of G I Joe/Heman/Kendoll or even Barbie would be different.
  17. Or Jinger was the sister who never quite fit in and she stuck to Jessa, because Jessa was one of the few kids who wasn't afraid of her parents. Before Jessa had Spurgeon, she seemed like the one who was most likely to rock the boat. She likes Jeremy, because compared to the group she was raised in he's easier and less demanding even if they do have to take perfect photos all the time. I don't think any of these people are particularly nice, but I don't believe Jessa is necessarily as bitchy as she is made out to be.
  18. The father who has his own channel Stauffer Garage needs to be talked about more. Myka has been thrown under the bus more for being the family vlogger, but he's just as responsible as she is. I'm not sure he ever warmed to this kid, and didn't seem to be too involved with him.
  19. Withoutacrystalball has said some inaccurrate things about the Duggars, so she's not the best source. However most of this jives with what we already know.
  20. Didn't Jeremy show us a skateboard with a cartoon design (maybe biblical Noah's Ark?) like two years ago in Laredo. Why bring that back?
  21. Thanks for posting this. The second picture of all those people on the ground is the bride and her 10 siblings. Anna Craig Maxwell's family has 11 children (2 of the 11 children areadopted from the US,). She is the first sibling to marry. The Craig girls are tall! The oldest girl is the maid of honor (Rachel Craig). The two shorter bridesmaids are Anna and Mary Maxwell (Jesse's sister). Sarah Maxwell took the photos, but wasn't a bridesmaid. I notice the dresses were slate blue with red and white bouquets. Red, white and blue for a Memorial Day wedding weekend? I think the bridesmaid dresses are relatively nice and I've seen worse. One social media post showed a timeline of the couple's courtship. They met at the Bontragers, who were hosting some kind of weekend. They met in 2017 when Anna Craig was probably 17 (maybe 16) and Jesse was 22/23. They got engaged in January 2020. Somebody on the internet said she may have turned 20 right before the wedding, but it's unclear if that's right.
  22. I was just coming here to post about Myka Stauffer controversy. I have been reading a lot about this. I'm putting it in a spoiler, because some people may think it's too upsetting. Here are some of the main points I grasped: I put things concerning the kid in the spoiler. The Stauffers apparently had endorsement deals that Jeremy Vuolo drools at. They have lost most of those sponsors thanks to people writing in about how angry they are. As mentioned so far it's mainly the mother's endorsements lost. People are saying this raises questions youtube and child filming and yes some people are making comparisons to reality television. One book I saw recommended about the adoption side is called The Child Catchers by Kathryn Joyce. It's about international adoption especially by religious people. Here on this forum people might also enjoy Kathryn Joyce's first book: Quiverfull: Inside the Christian Patriarchy Movement. I have heard these books are a little connected. Full disclosure: I haven't read either book.
  23. I think Jessa is already pregnant, but if she's not, you're probably right. I don't know if Duggar daughter pregnancies are more popular. People seem to like Kendra. It's still a little soon for any of the daughters-in-law to announce a new pregnancy, but probably soon enough they'll announce more babies on the way.
