Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Lauren's birthday is sometime around now; any birthday announcements? -
Kendra did a post about Garrett being such a boy! He wanted to play with a stick he found outside.

@Puffin yes those are the pictures. I actually don't care about the shoes. I think they are wearing shoes that are comfortable, which is good, especially as these conference days are probably long. Then several of them (Jessa, Anna, etc.) are pregnant and sandals may be more comfortable for them. Then Gothard wanted them covered from neck to ankle. Those skirts are noticably shorter than floor length. They contrast with the two women behind them. One final reason to wear sandals is they're in Texas and they spend some time outdoors.

I mentioned this in Bates thread in the Counting On section, but here it is again. After looking at the dresses in the Bates Sisters Boutique, Erin is wearing two dresses that are officially "maternity friendly".
-
I've been studying the Bates Sisters Store. Several of the dresses are marked as "maternity friendly". Erin Bates Paine is modeling two of the four "maternity friendly" dresses. Is it possible they had these photos taken a while ago (like a year ago when she was pregnant)? One of those dresses (The Sarah) is supposed to be nursing friendly so maybe she's still nursing. It's also possible she's just wearing those dresses by coincidence. I suppose it's also possible that I mixed up Erin and Josie. I have trouble telling who all the models are. The only ones I feel sure of are Erin and Kelly.

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody

All of the Bates Sisters' Boutique are loose and flowy. Many of the dresses including this one are officially designated "Maternity Friendly". -
According to one manufacturer of this stupid sign: "EASY TO READ - The Zone Tech baby up in this bitch magnet text is done in big bold block letter that will remind other drivers to be cautious on the road. As a result people will be more tolerant to you and give you the space you need. The magnet hints other motorist to stay away from you, thereby reducing tailgating and bothersome honking. You will have a safer environment for your baby and for yourself as well. CAPTURES ATTENTION - The Zone Tech baby up in this bitch magnet neon bright color attracts people's attention. The block lettering combined with the sign's bright color makes the Zone Tech Baby up in this bitch magnet a "must have" for parents. The Zone Tech "Baby up in this Bitch" magnet adds a clever twist to the usual baby on board magnet. This will subtly hint other motorist to stay away from your car while providing them with a hearty laugh. The magnet clearly attracts the attention from passersby or other vehicles and accomplishes its goal; a safer environment free of tailgating or unwanted honking. The text on the "Baby up in this Bitch" is in block letterings. According to statistics these are the easiest to read from the greatest distance. In addition the neon coloring of the sign attracts people's attention. The block lettering combined with the bold coloring make the Zone Tech Baby up in this Bitch magnet a must have for parents to be." This is stupid. It would be funny to give it to it the obnoxious fundies I know personally. (Although I would never actually buy it.)

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
I like Joy's sandals. They look comfortable. These sandals look safer since they are more attached to her feet. Sandals may be more comfortable while pregnant. I also think she looks a little bigger than I would have thought. It may indicate issues, but it may be genetic. One woman I know showed really early and was huge and had one of the easiest deliveries ever. Joy's always been a little curvier than her sisters, so it may just be how she's built. It also may have something to do with the position of the baby. I'm concerned about the birth, but that has more to with this family's track record concerning birth. -
The Duggars have pictures on their blog from Big Sandy. It's clear that most of the family were there. JB, Michelle, and their kids. Some of the married kids were there, including Jessa and Ben, Anna and Josh, Kendra and Joe, Lauren and Si, and Joy and Austin and all of the grandkids whose parents were mentioned were there. It looks like the Swansons were there as well. You can tell the Duggars were some of the speakers and that Joy is clearly pregnant in the photo with Austin and Gideon.

I predict Erin's announcement will be sooner than Alyssa's.

I actually thought Miss Vanjie won this one. I would have eliminated her last week, but since she's still here; why not give her the win? Make her the Miss Cracker of this season. Last week Shuga Cain, this week Nina West both eliminations are disappointing although Nina's seems slightly more deserved. (This wasn't a strong week for her). I don't dislike Silky as much as a lot of people, but I feel like she's been weak this week and last. My least favorite part of this challenge was her little belt she had on. It was falling on the runway and falling during the lip sync. I was hoping Silky was leaving. Untucked is better when they're not fighting. Nina West was my favorite and I will miss Nina West.

There are 6 queens left. We started with 15. Kahanna Montrese, Mercedes Iman Diamond, and Ra'jah Davenport O'Hara weren't included in the making of this episode.

Violet Chachki also was at the Met Gala 2019.

Wait, are y'all telling me that your ideal home doesn't four bedrooms, four kitchens, and a gun room? From the People article: "Upstairs, the sprawling master suite is outfitted with a new freestanding soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower. The home also boasts a screening room and an elevator. One of its more unusual elements is a secure room designed to store guns." The TTH has two kitchens right. This house sounds a cross between the TTH and the Putnam family home.

I just checked this myself it's an 85 Euro pocket square which means it costs 95 dollars US.

I'm still thinking there will be some kind of announcement/feature in the Tabloids for Mother's Day. Maybe even one from some of the Bates as well.
-
A lot of the Bates boys visited the Duggars at Christmas. The Bates and the Duggars (minus some of the married couples) were at Big Sandy when it happened. (Big Sandy was sometime in the past month). I think many of the kids are friends and it bolls down to competing reality shows.

Alfie is also a traditional British boys name that has been popular in Brittain a while even before GOT. Nicknames as first names are trendy over there.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
She didn't announce that early. That sonogram from 10 weeks is a month old and that makes her about 14 weeks now. She's about 3 months, which is the end of the first trimester and it's when most people announce. She's due sometime the first week of November. -
Except he probably sets her clothes budget. He probably likes that she wears cheaper clothes since it leaves more money for him. If he wanted her to wear more expensive clothes, I'm sure she would wear higher end clothes since he's her headship.
