  1. Well I'm disappointed three of my favorites didn't do well. Very happy for Nina West who did the best imo. I'm always happy to see Ross Mathews.
  2. As mentioned above, it's seems that the builders didn't require much of a downpayment. My best guess is that paying rent is probably about the same as paying the morgage in this case, and that would make buying the most logical option. I don't think they bought it outright, (they probably have a morgage), but I think they probably own their house. (It's also possible that they got the downpayment from either Jill's years of being on television or some kind of Dillard family inheritance. )
  3. So I looked further into the company. They are a well-known company that builds cheap homes in the Southern USA. Some people had good experiences with the company, others felt the houses weren't well-built. They are based in Arkansas, but also build homes in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Missouri, Alabama, as well as Arkansas. It seems likely they wouldn't need much of a downpayment to buy the house.
  4. She doesn't exactly say that. Among other things, they didn't buy a house since the house wasn't built when they bought it. If they bought something, it was land with a contract to build the house. Here what Jill says on their blog: "The last few weeks for us have been busy! Not only just keeping up with life and Derick’s hectic school schedule, but we have also been in the process of planning for the future…we are excited to share with you that we are moving!! We are relocating to Lowell, AR, which is closer to family and more centrally located in Northwest Arkansas. We started the process to build several months ago and have taken pictures along the way and are excited to share them with y’all now!" There is a sold sign on the property when they bought it which makes me they do own their own home and land. By the way, their building company isn't some small company owned by local friends. It appears to be part of a large company which builds home all around the south.
  5. When JB and Michelle were working on getting back on the show, they had that picture with Jinger on her wedding day prominently displayed in the TTH. I bet JB and Michelle are worried and unhappy Jinger is headed to LA. Maybe they had a fight and Jinger is trying to mend fences with a big, public post. For some reason, it strikes me as insincere, but maybe she does really feel like that.
  6. That is one of the best dresses I've seen on a Duggar. The colors and the pattern are both good. It gives her body a nice shape.
  7. Their financial situation doesn't make sense to me. They were complaining about hospital bills and yet they can afford law school and a beautiful new house. I agree with the top parts money and being a lawyer. Especially if you take into account how many people go to law school, take the bar exam and don't pass. I totally disagree that this means they can't have more children. For one thing in one of the bible quotes on the board is Psalm 127, literally the Psalm and versus of the bible where quiverfull gets it's name. For another, these people never plan that far in advance. They'll outgrow this house, sell it or try to, and buy a new one. It reminds me of when my friend who seems to be a quiverful Catholic, got married and bought the stupidest house for the hoard of kids she planned to have. I remember looking at thinking this is a dumb house for having a lot of little children in (I didn't tell her that). Sure enough three years later they sold it after two kids and in time for the third. This is also giving me serious Sister Wives flashbacks when they moved to Las Vegas. I find the bible quotes everywhere annoying.
  8. The sin they're worried about is lust, not greed or pride. I think fundies of all different stripes worry about the internet as den of iniquity. Not just Gothard and his followers. The Maxwells use a software or app that sends a list of all the sites you visited yesterday to your accountability partner. If you're married, your accountibility partner is spouse (Steve and Teri, Nathan and Melanie, etc.) The unmarried adult Maxwells have Teri as their accountability partner.
  9. A few days ago she did some sort of make-up video where the make-up all had scandalous names.
  10. Si seems to have taken down his birthday post for Abbie, although I saw the post on some fan sites if people are looking for it.
  11. I went to her account. This post by Sierra is actually an ad for Citrus and Lemon! She's shilling for them too! Here's the rest of her message verbatim: " Just scootin’ along, in this GORGEOUS weather! This is Mark’s early birthday present, but I like how I get to play on it, too! 😉 This @citrusandlemon top is the perfect flowy, lightweight material for spring! And the flutter sleeves are a cute touch! Use code: SIERRAJO in the checkout, for a discount on the cute clothes you find! 😍 #citrusandlemonpartner #newtousscooter#feelingitalian "
  12. I've never heard the term "glitter girl." Jo (Si) ah posted a picture of Himself and Lauren, Joe and Kendra, and Abbie and JD for Abbie's birthday.
  13. It's not a store selling things like Citrus and Lemons. It's an Instagram account that calls out pastors for expensive footwear and designer by taking pictures from their social media and showing how much the clothes cost.
  14. I was going to post about PreachersNSneakers. It's an Instagram account that takes pictures of preachers from the social media and breaks down how much various items of their clothing cost. The guy (whose account it is) then wants people to make their own decisions, but it's definitely about calling out preachers for spending large amounts of money on various items of clothing, especially shoes. Odd that Jeremy follows them.
  15. If I didn't know that was pregnancy announcement, I couldn't tell that from the picture. Usually people have the wife, husband, and kids lined up with mom holding a sign saying "baby #2 coming Fall 2019" or something to that effect. Instead, it looks like their baby is being labeled a baby.
  16. Duggar Data has a new predictive post about Joe and Kendra. Her guess is that the due date is October 9, 2019. That's about 6 months from now and consistent with them announcing around 12 weeks. She's probably right although it wouldn't surprise me if it was a little earlier than that.
  17. The Duggars went to one of their favorite places Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri. Most of the non-married kids minus the boys at ALERT.
  18. I doubt Josh is an alcoholic. For one thing, I expect both JB and Anna track his money carefully. Where would he get money for booze? If he looks "puffy", that may be genetic and it may be diet or a little of both.
  19. @not you again I can't find a full-length picture, so I must have meant this one. If you look closely at the bottom there's a black edge that looks like some sort of underskirt.
  20. Miss Vangie is gorgeous out of drag. Ru's look wasn't my favorite tonight. I prefered last week's look. Brooklynn's look didn't particularly farm to me. Neither did A'Keria's. I'm good with who went home this week.
  21. Both the Duggars and the Bates have shorten the skirts from the floor-length days. Are the unmarried girls cutting their hair short too? I do think they're keeping Josie's hair as long as possible and the other girls have long hair, because of IBLP.
  22. If you look at the full length picture, it appears to be part of her dress.
  23. Kendra's mother had the baby around December/November. Kendra said while her mother was pregnant that it would be cool if they were pregnant together. So far they haven't been pregnant together unless she's due even earlier than speculated.
  24. They got married in November. Isn't that late fall? Plus JinJer were there.
