I think that's what's most striking to me. Obviously Diane has a new memoir to promote and yes, she's along for the reality show ride, but she seems "meh" on the whole thing. That's what I wondered. I can't remember which gal was with her and the boyfriend, but why didn't she say something? She would have been perfectly correct in doing so, even if would have caused genuine drama.

Same! I don't watch White Collar and while I wasn't a One Tree Hill fan, I remember her being on the show. I think Henry and the Dominatrix Therapist would be an interesting couple, but at some point, they'll hook him up with Jo.
-
YES! That's exactly who she looks like. Ugh. These women are the dumbest reality competition show contestants I've ever seen. I think the Hell's Kitchen contestants are smarter.

This was my favorite part of the series. My stomach was hurting from laughing hard when Chris said that.

I was skeeved out that that many teens like him. I'm picturing myself as a teenager and I would have completely ignored his crap. I'm not sure how to take Shane. Sometimes he bugs me and sometimes he doesn't. As much as Anna's anal retentive nature annoyed me, in the end, I liked her the best. -

Tyra: "OK. You all have to pass through the DMZ. When you see machine guns aimed at you, don't give a just-seen-a-ghost face. Make you sure you smize and give a little tooch. If you get shot, I don't want you to stop smizing. Model through the pain. Just like I did at my first runway show in Milan when I was 16 and had to wear 6 inch heels that were eight sizes too small." -
That's who! I was trying to think of who Keir reminded me of and all I could think of is a mashup of Elizabeth Berkley and Jenny McCarthy.
-
Kier is a snot, but she has some understanding of fashion and style. I suspect she'll be around for most of the season. She's the only one who knew how to put together a mood board. I'm not against people getting plastic surgery, but Keir needs to get those beach balls removed from her chest. There's too much of a gap between them. Anyway . . . How do none of those women know how to put together a mood board, especially if they're trying to break into the fashion industry? That doesn't make sense. I don't work in the industry and I could have put together a Cote d'Azur mood board. And I've never been to the French Riviera! Do any of these women have basic understanding of fashion? I look at them and their styles and don't see "DVF woman" in any of them. I'm fine with Codi going home because she wasn't into the competition and she obviously wasn't having the cattiness between some of the women. Hopefully, she'll do well as a photographer. I definitely question her sense of style for reasons already mentioned here. She needs to dye her brows too. I like DVF so that's why I'll continue to watch.

I feel the same. I don't dislike Isaac and I've felt he tries to find something positive. I was a bit surprised by how much he hated Alexandria's dress and openly said so. Alexandria's dress wasn't the greatest, but I've seen worse on this show. I've seen worse in stores.

I came across a few sites' on which a couple of users had cut & pasted questions about Shane's movie looking for answers.

This was kind of my whole issue with it. I have no problem with Neal and Zachary wanting to remove their names as Shane's executive producers. I imagine that doing that is not entirely unusual in Hollywood. For what it's worth, I agree with what Zachary had been saying from the get go. I agreed with what Neal wrote, but the timing of it kind of bothered me because it felt unprofessional. I didn't like Shane's movie. At all. I liked two of the actress' performances. Those performances saved Shane's movie from being a complete shitbomb. I knew he wasn't going to pull off another American Pie, but everyone involved knew what he was making. Perhaps he should have let Lauren make more decisions, since she might have been able to "save" it in even the smallest sense. Lauren strikes me as someone who knows what's she doing and it's a shame that Shane was assy to her during half the competition. I liked Anna's movie. I've seen better versions of her movie from other directors, but as a first time director's project and a very limited budget? I think she did very well. She has a voice. One that I'd like to see churning out another film, one with a bigger budget, perhaps. I didn't like Victor's input despite his own professional successes. The triad they had going rubbed me the wrong way. Anna and Shane were chosen to direct these movies. Not Shane and Anna/Victor/Phil. She should aim to be more independent because I can tell she's got the talent and doesn't need to run every decision past Los Quinaz. I haven't paid close attention to the Twitter drama, but from what I gathered Victor was the one who started the bashing, right? I know Shane has hardcore young fans who are passionate about him, but I recall someone here saying that Shane told his fans to lay off Anna & Co. If that's true, then he gets points for taking the higher road. I looked at Anna's Twitter and didn't see any nastiness coming from her either. Also, I thought Anna was a gracious loser. If I had been her and my film lost to that piece of crap film, I'm not sure I could be that cordial. -
I feel the same way. For me, Sterling is too over-the-top with his schtick for his craziness to be genuine. He's only messed up in a couple of services, right? He comes across as being one of the better chefs. Not that that's saying much, but still.

As much as it pains me to do so, I have to agree with Shane that Anna had producer connections before joining the show and making her movie. Yes, Shane has a larger fanbase, but Anna already knew Neal & Co. One could argue that she shouldn't have been able to participate on that alone. -

The fashion and modeling industries each have their horror stories. I can't imagine Adam trying to hold down a modeling career if he's showing up buzzed or drunk. I'm pretty certain they'd fire him on the spot. Or any model, for that matter. -
I wouldn't hire any of those young women to be the brand ambassador of a used car lot.
-
I've felt that way about Victor, since the very beginning of this series. He skeeves me out. I haven't followed the Twitter drama, but I'm not surprised that he's fighting on social media. He has a decent resume, but he doesn't seem very nice. Especially to Anna. I don't understand their dynamic at all. Phil doesn't bug me as much. Shane is a dipshit, but I'd rather be stuck in a room with him than with Anna and Victor.

That's what most struck me about her taking offense to Yu's comment. Not that I don't understand her point of view. I imagine that having vitiligo has caused Chantelle to act a certain way, put up a wall, etc. At the same time, people in the modeling industry act this way without a moment's thought. I think Chantelle's symmetrical vitiligo is fascinating on some level. As DrivingSideways said, Chantelle's vitiligo is her calling card on the show because it's what makes her unique. She can't assume that has nothing to do with people's fascination. That said I'm glad that she's booked jobs and it's great to see the fashion industry using more diverse models. I was expecting more to come out of that Adam situation, but nothing. I hope he doesn't have an untreated alcohol problem. This show doesn't provide the best environment for dealing with that problem. He and Shei are pretty hot together though. I loved Will's photo and he got his in the least amount of takes. I actually liked Keith's too. Most great photos aren't taken in the first few shots. I don't know how many they had, but the fact that Keith didn't get his in the first five doesn't bother me too much. I'm sad that Raelia went home because she has legs for miles. She's got the model body. She also seems genuinely nice and I enjoyed the dynamic she had with Will. Lenox is the most editorial of all the models, but her THs bug the shit out of me. I wish she'd keep her comments to herself because it's turning me off from rooting for her. -
I'm excited that it's getting a full season. Hopefully, the writers and producers will work out the kinks. I'd like to see it go on even longer.
-
I can see Emily and Alexandria getting on really well. Emily seems like a nice person. I hope Emily does the show. :)
-
Exactly. She doesn't strike me as being a strong designer. Last night's dress looked like a wonky mess.
-
I think this is why I like him so much. He's the perfect judge. He's not critical for the sake of being critical and to get laughs from the rest of the panel. He can find something to compliment on every garment. He strikes me as one of the genuinely friendlier people in the fashion industry.

See, I feel the same way. I like that she doesn't care about the drama, even at the expense that the other contestants talk crap about her. I'd take Alexandria's aloofness over the overt backstabbing and bitchiness that's come from some of the other contestants (on both regular and AS shows). Alyssa, Alyssa, Alyssa. Her stylist isn't so nice. I've never been pregnant, but I'm guessing that pregnant woman don't want to look like crap just because they're carrying extra weight. Surely, the stylist could have found something better for her to wear. That said I don't mind her as a host. She's my peer and I grew up watching her on TV so that kind of keeps me from bagging on her. ;) I like Elie Tahari as a guest judge. I wish he were a permanent fixture. I think it's insulting that he was slotted to guest judge alongside the Jersey Shore women. I can only imagine what was going through his mind. 1. Justin: I'm glad that he won the challenge. His outfit was one of the cooler ones. He has some interesting ideas and I felt this same way about him on his season. He seems to have come into his own on AS. I look forward to seeing what else he can do, so I hope he's around for a long while. 2. Alexandria: I don't dislike her in the way some others do. YMMV. I wasn't wow'ed by her outfit, but I didn't hate it. The netting part could have been done in a different way. I known I've seen worse outfits on this show. 3. Michelle: I didn't see this woman's season, but something about her puts me off. I hated her dress. My dad used to keep green tarp in his garage and that's what her dress looked like to me. Granted, I felt the same way about Jay's and Alexandria's, but Michelle's colors were just BLAH. 4. Kate: I think she should have gone home already. I suspect that every outfit on this season will look like a bridal gown. Bridal gowns bore me. 5. Jay: I didn't mind that his dress looked like a tarp, even though the object is to not make the dress look as if it was crafted out of tarp. The silhouette was interesting. He seems like a nice enough guy, so he doesn't turn me off. 6. Fabio: So far I like what he's done. Even last night's dress. It wasn't the most outstanding piece, but it wasn't anywhere near average. I'm interested in seeing what else he designs. 7. Helen: The dress color was bad and it looked as if she had plastic wood pieces stapled onto it. At least, she's not as bad as Kate. 8. Chris: If he's from the Bravo era, then I'll cut him some slack because like others here have mentioned, these one-day challenges aren't his forte. I didn't mind the bottom half of his dress, but the top needed a little more work. 6. Dmitry: I can't forgive him on that dress: asscheeks bared. 7. Benjamin: I didn't care for his dress because it looked like shredded paper. 8. Gunnar: I didn't mind his dress. I'd consider wearing it. I think. I thought the chains were cool. Now that's how you do fringe. :p 9. Sonjia: Interesting use of tape, but it wasn't a "wow" moment dress for me. It wasn't enough to justify putting her at the bottom. It was average. 10. Samantha: The top reminded me of Princess Leia's bra in the Return of the Jedi Jabba the Hutt scene. It's not something I'd wear, but it wasn't the worst look.
-
Alexandria is somewhat aloof, but I like that she doesn't care about kissing people's butts. Given how much work she does with kids, I can't hate on her. I doubt she's that evil. I'm glad there were no drop crotch pants in AS.

Words That Tyra Hasn't Invented Yet

Ah, thanks. Not sure how I blanked out on that. DangerousMinds: Like rubinia said, Patrick Bateman was hairless in that way in the movie. The similarities between the Dandy and Patrick characters are eerie. Ryan Murphy must have enjoyed American Psycho.
