I was waiting for Suzie’s mom to say she had an illness or something. Why else would you go on TV and say you don’t have much energy? I don’t either but if my son needed me in a competition I would try my best and fake it. Which she kind of did but between Suzie rushing to get her a blanket and her comments I still think something was going on there. I didn’t like Sam’s mom- I like that she she was supportive but not her remarks to Susan that seemed like she was better because she was seen as everyone’s mom at Sam’s shows. As far as costumes I like Suzie and Lexi’s the best.

I was wondering at McKay’s bracelet going off: is she not allowed to work overtime? I would think she would be fine staying at her work location but I don’t know how those things work. I still can’t stand Santos and hope someone reports her to HR when things calm down for the derogatory names. She uses the names in front of patients and that’s wrong. She also could get the hospital sued for doing procedures she’s not qualified for no matter how ‘bad ass’ it is.

Yes, there are always oddities in the world and somehow they all land on this ship!

S17.E12: The Rugina Monologues
Madding crowd replied to davidcalgary29's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race
True, except for Bianca Del Rio, Bob the Drag Queen, Chad Michaels and Sasha Colby who all had a ton of confidence. Ru and Michelle usually have favorites and it’s not easy to predict who Ru will like. Michelle favors glamorous queens but she hasn’t been as opinionated in the last few years. Suzie won’t win, I’m guessing Onya or Sam but we could be surprised. -
This was a depressing episode. I expected fun cougars chasing after the younger men instead we got COVID and cancer. Donna Mills looks amazing for 83 years old and Jaclyn Smith looks great too. I don’t know how old Shania Twain is supposed to be but her real age is 59, so too old to be pregnant.

S02.E12: Deal or No Deal Island: The Final Deal
Madding crowd replied to AntFTW's topic in Deal Or No Deal
I wonder how the finale would have gone if he opened the 12 million case in the first round? Of course he would have still won some money but all the excitement would have been gone. Not saying the show is fake but it was great that the largest case was still there at the end. -
S17.E12: The Rugina Monologues
Madding crowd replied to davidcalgary29's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race
Jinkx is my all time favorite so I agree with you there. But Ru took a liking to Jinkx early on despite Michelle not liking her at all. I think Suzie seems too confident which doesn’t appeal to Ru. I think different types of queens are marketable for WOW-Suzie is more like Katya and Alaska than some of the other queens left . -
S17.E12: The Rugina Monologues
Madding crowd replied to davidcalgary29's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race
I really like Suzie and Jewels monologue was so serious I don’t know how a goofy dance would even fit . I hated this challenge because it was dig deep and tell us your darkest fears but make it funny! I didn’t like any of the monologues. Last time they did ugly dresses they wanted actual dresses not costumes but these were all costumes except for Jewels. It makes me a little sad that Ru and Michelle don’t seem to like Suzie, she’s my favorite. -
Chelsea has no right to call someone else soulless though. She lives a life of luxury being supported by a rich, older man. She doesn’t seem to do much beyond lie by the pool.

I didn’t like Chloe or Chelsea in this episode. They could have just had a fun time partying but instead wanted to bring down the brothers in some way. Chloe didn’t need to confess to Gary and now he will probably try to force them to kill Belinda for him. Thinking maybe Tim stays with the monks and Piper changes her mind. Jaclyn seems like a bitch and she had a lot of nerve being mad after she pushed Valentin on Laurie, knew Laurie was attracted to him then had to have him for herself. And she’s married. I keep thinking her husband is going to show up and find her with Valentin. Rick’s story seems so separate from the rest of the show. I guess everything will happen at Gary’s party. The actor plays Gary/Greg as so unlikable that I don’t know why people would want to hang around him. I hope Piper, Saxon and Lochlan end up Ok. I don’t think any of them are evil.

At least they didn’t do a heart transplant right on the ship! I’m kidding, but I thought this one wasn’t too bad except for them giving Athena a gigantic room, racks of perfectly fitting gowns and jewelry. Why would she need any of that? She was left on the ship and would have been dropped off at the next port. Why would the ship want her to have jewelry? I figured the old lady was in on it at the beginning. Why was the bad heart girl by herself? She seemed fairly young why would she choose a gambling cruise over something more fun? I also didn’t understand how the cleaning lady wouldn’t have a key for the closet.

The judge’s rulings were ridiculous. The defendant cannot say an experimental drug would have for sure saved his mother. If that was the case then the drug company CEO could also be responsible for not providing the drug for free or for a reasonable amount. The defense cannot prove that the killing of one person will save lives, the insurance company will not close because of the death of an executive nor will they change their policies. I have my own beefs with health insurance but what the defendant did won’t change a thing.

I agree with most of the what you said but Amy didn’t choose her job over her son. She chose to miss one field trip for a work emergency. Also I don’t have a problem with Jake wanting a relationship with Amy. Before her accident she was no longer in love with her ex husband and he married and is expecting a baby with his new wife. Jake knows her memories are faulty but she agreed to try it again with him and she needs people on her side. Richard set it up for people not to trust her and Jake was one of the few that still saw her as competent.

The story of lying Seth was over too quickly; why was he lying? If this isn’t mentioned again the character was just a waste. It seems like too many stories have done the Slenderman thing, we didn’t need to hear it again. Is Bailey going to be in danger again? A lot going on this episode.

S16.E13: Hella Awkward; DomeDock; Riverbend; Dig World
Madding crowd replied to CrazyInAlabama's topic in Shark Tank
There are also a lot of games out there like Cards Against Humanity and other ones that don’t require asking such personal questions. I don’t see any card game selling enough to pay back the sharks. Cards Against Humanity made a lot of money but it was a very new twist on card games and now there are tons of these. My son would have loved Dig World when he was a kid. He loved going to public works days when he could just sit in trucks, being able to move things would have been heaven. It’s a very expensive idea though and again not likely to make money for a long time . There are also a million different hat storage things out there, this one is not unique. -
Seeing the video of Ashley after she was shot was just shocking: we usually see only a partial shot in these types of shows. She has had to struggle so much to get where she is today. Hearing him tell his daughter that the son won’t mind prison was one of the most cold blooded things I’ve ever heard.

I think this show likes to twist things from what we expect. We think Saxon is going to corrupt innocent Lochy, but Lochy may be the real predator. The Russians are up to something with the girl friends but it might be different than we think. The Sam Rockwell speech was interesting but I don’t know what it had to do with anything. Chloe was encouraging the brothers to take drugs and party but also thinks Gary might be violent if he finds out. What is she up to? My older and very conservative sister started watching this, I’ll have to call her tomorrow to see how shocked she was lol.

I wanted Alexander and Frankie to win at the end. I couldn’t stand Charlotte and her fake crying and Leanne was so harsh to people she didn’t like. I guess now people will try to screw over fellow faithfuls to get a bigger share.

S17.E11: Ross Matthews vs. Acting!
Madding crowd replied to davidcalgary29's topic in RuPaul's Drag Race
I thought the skit was a fun spoof of the Capote Vs Swans show on FX although I knew who the swans were and don’t know the celebrity housewives. Suzie is still my favorite and it made me sad so many of the queens voted her as the one who should go home. Not a fan of Lexi and her everlasting angst. I thought Jewel’s runway was fine but didn’t get the extreme fawning over it. -
That’s true but why even meet with him? She knew the kind of person he was and also that she couldn’t quash the story. If she was meeting to kill him she would have to be sure he didn’t already give the information in her to his attorney or someone else. I just think the whole story was a little weak.
-
I don’t think the reporter had a real motive for the killing even if the guy threatened to ruin her life. I’m a retired reporter and once I filed a story it was in the hands of the editor; I had no further control . Reporters don’t have the authority to quash stories, if she didn’t do it someone else would be assigned. I think he did attack her unless she has a history of violence. Maroun really needs to work as a public defender or victim advocate. She doesn’t like the prosecution side of things. I see Maura Tierney still plays every role like she is clinically depressed.
-
It’s not a tattletale to bring it up to the head doctor, she’s a tattletale for talking about it with other people especially when she doesn’t know the whole story and Robby told her not to discuss it. The shooting at Pittfest was expected but still awful for Robby who is already having a bad day.

Yes, they spend too much time thinking about who would be a perfect traitor based on their lives and forget Claudia selects for whatever reasons the show decides. That being said I wish they could find a way to incorporate some really hard clues as to who a traitor might be. Otherwise there is the constant “you looked happy for a moment but didn’t look happy later” stupidity in guessing. I was glad Armani was caught; why was she saying the traitors needed to be more aggressive? Aggressive how? They already have the power to murder, what else could they do?

This show is boring to watch and it must be even more boring to have to sit in the rain and do nothing for days. I can see that the sort of cutthroat culture the show requires wouldn’t be for everyone.

I think Valentin is up to something shady because Jacklyn asked for something with music and partying and he sent her to a pool exactly like the White Lotus except with all older people. Then he told them to go shopping knowing they would get soaked and wouldn’t like it. It’s possible he is setting up something with his friends to rob them but something is going on. I agree that Greg would not go anywhere near White Lotus and with his kind of money he could go anywhere.
