  1. I started watching with my son and just love these guys. I have to say though that I like the ones where they are in stores or fast food places the best. I never believe the ones where they are supposed to be experts giving lectures or the focus group ones because it always seems like the people are in on those.
  2. Scott deserved the win, he kept his cool in the kitchen and his food looked appetizing. Jason called people dumb asses and his crab cakes did not look freshly made. He also is just a jerk of a person so there's that. I have no idea why they had that bizarre cooking segment in the fighting ring since they didn't have time to show us any of the actual cooking. Then after all that cooking the only advantage was to pick first which only means you are picking one person ahead of the other. Just saw Ramsey on Jimmy Kimmel, Hotel Hell, Masterchef and Hells Kitchen, all in one week. I love him, but enough.
  3. Sandhya seems sweet, but I thought her dress was beyond horrible. Torn sleeves and a little bit of dye do not make edgy. I really liked the outfits of Korina (though I don't like her), Char and Fade. The worst outfit was the shorts and tee shirt made by the guy with the little ugly shorts himself. Amanda's was not spring like at all and she seems full of herself now. I never mind Nina because Heidi and Zac usually balance her out. I actually liked Michael Kors better than Zac, because I thought his opinions made more sense to me. I always love PR though, so glad its back in all its catty glory. And Tim, my respect for you has lessened every year, but stop talking about brazilians and vaginas. Thank You.
  4. I wouldn't care about the lie detector results if I were Andi because most of the questions could have been thought about it more than one way. Even a question like how many women have you slept with could have made the guys wonder if someone they did some things with but not all the way counted etc. And asking are you here for the right reason could have more than one answer. I thought the on-air ultra sound was awful and as one who had multiple ultra sounds during pregnancy, your bladder has to be very full and you are not half sitting up. Seeing Ashley's bare stomach and the fake ultrasound picture was just cringe worthy. As for Marquel: he is handsome, nice and seems smart. The reason he is in the friend zone is because he is one of these guys who values being quirky and original. Showing up with a cookie lapel pin and odd print mash-ups (not to mention cookies), makes women say aww but not in a romantic way. If he wore a nice suit and forgot about the cookies he would not be in anyone's friend zone. It looks like he continues with his odd fashion choices in Bachelor in Paradise though. The rest of the show was boring and even though Chris is very handsome, I am getting a weird vibe off him the past couple of episodes like maybe he is not so nice. It is strange because I liked him a lot and disliked Josh and Nick at the beginning and now I think Josh and Nick are great guys and Chris is not. The funniest part of the night was the repeated shot of some women grabbing her friends hands because she was so excited. Excited about what exactly? Yawn.
  5. I can't see this show lasting. Having average Joes as judges means that they will probably have less sophisticated palates and they will also be able to guess who the home cook is and will vote for him/her to win the money. Pro judges could also guess but would be more likely to identify the superior dish. I know I was supposed to be rooting for Elisha, but the pro dishes all looked better to me with the exception of the tart. The home cook also gets to pre make some things the pro can't so that tips it in her favor as well. I also wasn't sure why she grew up in a tin shed, but it shouldn't matter in the result.
  6. I think it would have been impossible for them to do the kind of show that is done at Nobu or to replicate the supposed thrill of the $1,000 sundae. On top of that , they couldn't choose their proteins and had to be cohesive. They all seem too nervous to be ready to host a show, but maybe everyone is I don't know. I can't stand Lenny, butcher babe or Sarah and I'm sure Nicole or Luca have zero chance so I guess I don't care who wins. I would love it if Penn Gillette would take his shtick and never grace my tv again but I'm sure there are a few shows he hasn't hit yet.
  7. It's sad for me to hear someone say Meri is irrelevant to the family because her daughter is in college and she doesn't have young children at home. So are women supposed to kill themselves or live in a cave when their children leave home? Also don't like the comments on Mariah's looks. In my opinion all of the Brown kids are average looking, and all seem like good kids. I did notice a few of the kids with their heads in Meri's lap while they were watching the video and I continue to think Meri is a kind person who is good with the kids. Janelle still strikes me as cold and I don't blame Meri for finding it hard to share her husband and life with a woman who sought out the religion and husband to somehow find herself. If Robyn is expecting it would be no where near as shocking as finding out one of them has a job.
  8. I think people have more levels to tell than being a "jock" or "nerd"etc. Someone can play sports and still be intelligent and have other interests; nerds can like computers but still have social skills. Neither Josh nor Sean Lowe struck me as dumb roid jocks and Nick doesn't strike me as a typical salesman either. I also don't have a problem with Josh saying Mrs Murray. I think most guys have a dream of someone sharing their name and life, it doesn't have to be literal. I'm sure Josh would be fine if Andi keeps her name (not sure Chris would be though).
  9. I thought Chris did look sad, not everyone sobs into the camera. He had to realize though that Andi is not going to live on a farm, and he is going to need to find someone more used to that kind of life. I thought Andi handled it well. Nick is starting to grow on me a little although I still don't find him attractive. I didn't like Josh at first, but now I think he is handsome and sweet. I'm not sure how either guy will fit in with Andi though. Neither of them seem like a caveman type which Andi keeps saying she prefers. I have to say I am neutral on Andi; I don't like or dislike her. I don't think she is conventionally attractive and her personality does n't seem to have much depth, but she also seems like a kind person so I guess there's that.
  10. Kody sounded like a little kid the way he kept yelling "fantastic caverns" over and over. I'm a Christian yet hate people who use the bible to justify a guys need to fool around on his wife. These polyg guys are always unattractive, have a God complex, and use extra wives to cover up big insecurities in my opinion. Having to eat at the same time, line up military style and probably sharing the same bed makes these people creepy. And Christine nothing you do makes me envious of your lifestyle. My boring monogamous life includes a paid for house, two spouses who want to work, no bankruptcies, one great child and zero jealously over my husband spending time with another woman. Of course we don't play red rover, so you got that over me.
  11. I wasn't upset that Joy left, but Gordon pissed me off too. He tells people to speak up, then yells at them when they do. I also think it is a sign of being a bully when you ask people questions and then refuse to let them answer. From what I could see, he was badgering Joy about the fish and when she presented the fish he yelled at her that Jason's garnish was supposed to be done first. It looked like she was trying to explain to him that he was asking her for the fish, so she gave him the fish, and nothing was said about the garnish. I guess the only thing you can do is say yes chef, no matter what the statement or question. I also think GR has it in for Scott for some reason and finds an excuse to constantly yell at him while Jason is rarely criticized. No idea who will win at this point but I hope it is either Scott or Rochelle.
  12. Josh lives in a different state than his parents so I doubt he sees them weekly or even monthly. I thought the family did pay attention to Andi, but yes they talked about Aaron too which is probably normal. I think everyone would be supportive and interested in a family member who is in the spotlight whether it is through sports, the entertainment industry, wrote a book etc. And just because they are a sports family it doesn't make them bad people or people who would be bad to Andi. I would guess that Josh would want to go to some games but would probably not be able to fly out to every game which would be expensive and time consuming. And this is a minor problem for Andi compared to the idea of potentially moving to a farm or to Chicago or dealing with whatever the deep dark Marcus family problem might be. I'm still not convinced that Andi is truly in love with any of these guys, not even in a typical bachelorette way. I don't know if the guys are feeling it that much for her either. I'm guessing Andi wants some kind of entertainment job, but it won't be easy because she frowns too much and probably can't help it. I still don't like the scene at Chris Harrison's house, but I can't fault the guys on how they reacted or didn't react. People react differently, they hardly knew the guy and they were probably quite surprised at being taken to Chris' house. I don't even think Andi knew him that well but I can understand her emotions regarding their last meeting.
  13. I thought Andi was being really rude by repeating over and over : "Gee, I hope Josh isn't going to be paying attention to anyone but me". Josh hadn't seen his brother for awhile and his family was excited over the news. I think anyone would be. They played plenty of attention to Andi. And there are worse things in the world than be expected to support a family member at the occasional football game (I do it with my nephew who plays college football). I'm sure Andi wouldn't really have to go to every game. And Josh lives in a different town than his parents so he obviously doesn't see them all that much. Milwaukee's my hometown and it is really a sophisticated city with a thriving art and music scene. And they must have searched high and low to find a polka club, because no one in my family could tell where that was. That is also why I give Josh the benefit of the doubt regarding the baseball thing: it is planned out completely by the producers and not the contestant. Marcus is cute but seems very sad and I didn't like the strip tease. Chris is handsome and sweet and he didn't say Andi should be a housewife, he said that would obviously not be for her. It bugs me that they edited that clip in a false way. I hated the way they brought the guys in to tell them of Eric's death and then made them sit there probably thinking something happened to Andi or that Andi was sending them all home. And what was taped all over Chris' coffee table? Then the crew coming in was just bizarre.
  14. I wonder why King Kody never does any of the driving. Does he think it is uncool to drive something other than a sports car? And yes, his whining was worse than any of the kids. Meri does the driving, organizes the food and I'm sure she helps out when asked. I don't think she needs to do eternal penance for the sin of not having more children. And no, she didn't choose to not have another one. IVF is expense and doesn't always work, she has had miscarriages in the past so her problem is more than just getting pregnant, and having Robyn have a child for her would have lots of inherent problems (in my opinion). There is nothing wrong with having one child, or no children. Kody has plenty of kids he cannot support as it is. None of these women have jobs either, so packing up for a few kids, most of whom are pretty self-sufficient is not that huge of a task. With all that, I do think they are a family and they help each other. The women have had separate living quarters for a long time and always refer to their own kids as "my kids". They may not be the compound share everything type, but they are their own definition of family. The episodes are pretty boring, as it would be if anyone's life were filmed, but I still like the Browns better than Brady with his creepy eyes, and controlling Joe Darger. I love to make fun of Kody, but he seems like a kind person, if a bit clueless.
  15. I didn't think Scott was trying to mouth off to Gordon, I thought he was trying to speak up. If you don't speak assertively, you get yelled at by GR, if you do, you are mouthing off. I actually think GR has it in for Scott for some reason. I don't think he is a great Chef or anything, but he seems to try to help a lot and gets yelled at constantly. Jason is horrible and I really hope he is the next to go followed by Melanie. She thinks she is on top of the pack when she makes stupid mistakes, and she has no leadership skills. Rochelle is too quiet and Gordon just won't like that in the finale. I'm guessing it will be Scott and Joy and either could win as far as I'm concerned.
  16. I thought it would be more fun than it was, although I think Aisha is great as is Chris. I would like to have heard more theories and discussions. They really didn't give anything away and even the preview was of a very generic scene which shows nothing of Terminus. I was a bit surprised at the actor who plays Gareth saying his character is much more like Rick than the governor. At this point, Terminus has to be about cannibals, anything else would just be boring. I can't imagine them suddenly making up some benign reason for keeping people in train cars. I also liked Shane and thought he was basically a good guy who got screwed up by the ZA and by Lori and by his dedication to Rick, so I agree with Aisha.
  17. The whole green screen thing was stupid, but Loreal got the best background; it is easy to talk about being in a garden when you making food from vegetables from a garden. I thought they all did a good job of packaging and I want to try Chris' butter. They should have given them a little more help with the scripts. It is hard to sound sincere, funny, describe the product and take note of your surroundings in 30 seconds. Still can't stand Lenny and his whooping nor Loreal and her trying to be cute with the What! What! This seems to be a new thing to say and I pray it goes away soon-can't stand it. I liked Ruben and he seems like a passionate chef, but he just can't think fast on his feet. I did think Nicole did a worse job though, she looked very nervous in her commercial.
  18. I still like Josh and Chris but Chris' lifestyle is a hard sell. Marcus is kind of just there and Brian and Dylan are good guys but too low key for her. I have watched every season and this is the first time I've thought none of them have real feelings besides a desire to maybe go on a date. I wish I liked Nick since I am also from Milwaukee and live in Chicago, but I just can't. His little smirks to the camera, his focus on winning over Andi and the fact I don't find him attractive rules him out. I can't imagine Andi will come across well with the parents, it will be interesting to see.
  19. That has been totally debunked. http://garytaubes.co...-of-overeating/ Edited by psychnurse, 16 minutes ago. Gary Taubes is a writer and not an MD, and there is no actual proof this is true, his books are his opinions. There can be different reasons both to gain and lose weight. I suspect Janelle is struggling because: she is over 40 and her metabolism has slowed, she is losing inches and gaining muscle which weighs more than fat, and she admits to eating too many calories.
  20. Giada was horrid last night, she seems to actually despise people on this show. Christopher failed at showing anything being made though, and I have never seen a cooking show with no cooking. I really can't stand shtick of an kind so chuck wagon Lenny and Loreal can just go now. Rueban can always get a job as Jake Gyllenhal's Cuban cousin. I'm thinking Nicole or Emma are the only real contenders.
  21. I have a couple of nephews who live with roommates near campus because they want the 'campus' life and wanted some independence, I'm guessing that is Logan's reason too . It was nice to see how well the kids are doing but kind of boring too. I think Mariah wasn't featured because is out of town. Janelle might have gained some muscle and lost inches rather than pounds. It is a myth that all fat people lose weight quickly and in massive amounts. Women past 40 have a much harder time which I know from personal experience. Janelle is not my favorite person and I agree she is stress eating, but I understand her frustration.
  22. They all thought he said 'fart in public' and I think that was the intention too. If the questions were silly right reason questions, I could see playing around with it, But asking guys how many women they slept with on tv where potentially their parents could see it, is just invasive.
  23. I agree with Josh that asking a date to take a polygraph is in bad taste. I know Andi didn't come up with the idea but why was she so upset that Josh felt she didn't trust him or the other guys? Sometimes I don't mind Andi and other times I can't stand her; like when she gets so upset at something she shouldn't. If someone I was dating asked me to take a lie detector, I would tell them to go to hell. These guys didn't have that option but I can understand not liking it. Can't stand Nick either in looks or personality. I don't think he should care what the other guys think, but I still think he is a jerk and doesn't really care about Andi either. Dylan remains a sad sack with greasy hair. I was surprised she kept him over JJ, who is a shit stirer and wears weird pants but doesn't have so much baggage. She should have cut Cody before the one on one date. There is always one person who is nuts over the b/bette and it is pretty clear the feeling isn't mutual. He seems like a nice guy though and I don't think he will have a problem finding dates. Josh is growing on me-he speaks what's on his mind, he's handsome and I no longer mind his blinding white teeth so much. Still like Chris too although he gets into the 'guys are here for the wrong reasons' a little too much. And Andi-many if not most woman do not consider being lunged at the sole measure of a man. I'm sure most of these guys were raised (or found out through experience) that most women do not want to be attacked in a hallway-therefore they don't know it is your requirement. I did like her bright blue top and scarf tonight and not much else about her.
  24. I actually like the episodes with no dinner service because I'm tired of the lobster risotto and beef wellington. I don't believe for a minute that Gabriel's lamb piece that he didn't serve was cooked perfectly and the rest wasn't even worth a point. I don't even like him but shouldn't a good chef put what he thinks is the best food on the plate and leave the rest behind? They acted like he committed a sin by not serving every last morsel, yet Keshia left an entire side dish behind. The fake reporters were just stupid, I'm sure even these dim bulb chefs know that huge groups of reporters would not be interested in them. I'm guessing Joy will win the stunning calendar spot. Glad to see Melanie crash and burn, I can't stand her.
  25. Meri said she would still help with the business, it is Robyn who keeps insisting it is MSWC or nothing. Robyn seems terrified at the idea that someone could actually want to better themselves and not be her assistant/nanny. Why can't Robyn pay some of the teenagers to do some of the work? There can't be that much work considering the number of orders they get. And what the hell does Kody do? Does he do anything at all? I also can't fault Meri for being scared to speak in public. Fear of public speaking is the number one fear in the world and I know plenty of people who would be/are terrified to talk in front of even a small group. I also think it made no sense for the person who does the shipping to have to say anything anyway, they should have had one or two prepared speakers and that's it.
