  1. After Defenders, I just can't stand Elektra and everything about her storyline. She just doesn't feel like a person to be, rather than a cardboard cutout of a character who exists solely for the plot. I don't care about Matt's relationship with either Claire or Karen, but at least they have actual personalities which make sense.
  2. I have long dropped Killjoys, so I have only Earp left to watch. By the way, what's Blood Drive? Is it any good?
  3. Couldn't get into Westworld after 5 eps. None of the characters appealed to me and I was struggling to care about anything going on other than hating the man in black.
  4. The revenant said it had never happened before, so he assumed it wasn't possible.
  5. That was actually a pretty good episode. Loved the Kelsey/Liza reconciliation and how Kelsey was shocked at her realization about Lisa's daughter. That was always the strongest part of Younger and I hope their relationship will evolve now in new and interesting ways.
  6. Ugh, I really liked that actress on Elementary and was thinking about watching that (I liked Romancing the Stone in all its cheesy glory back in the day), but with that review, nope. Moving on, I remember whining a bit on this forum about my tendency to ship couples that obviously weren't endgame, and now (oops) I did it again. This time it's Doc and Wynonna on Wynonna Earp, and while it still seems like it could go either way (there's a central love triangle and the character have hooked up a couple of times), it still seems sorta unlikely (not as unlikely as my other current OTPs though *cough* Frank Castle/Karen Page *cough*). Kinda wanna watch something with happy ending to scratch my shipping urge. I accept recommendations.
  7. - So you're saying I got screwed? - That much is obvious. *smirks* Not gonna lie, I laughed like crazy at this exchange. Otherwise, a weird ep. Way more dramatic and serious than I'm usually comfortable with when watching the show. And I really felt bad for Hypnos. I'd prefer if Dolls killed him himself, TBH - didn't feel very in-character for Wynonna to finish him off, even if she was mad at Dolls afterwards. As for the love triangle, I'm not sure there's a definitive endgame love interest yet. Both pairings (or neither of them) may win eventually - doesn't see like it's been decided. Re: Clootie - wasn't it stated last season that if she dies, Doc dies with her?.. And there was a whole episode dedicated to Wynonna talking him out of committing essential suicide by killing her?
  8. I definitely feel romantic tension between both Dolls/Wynonna and Doc/Wynnona (and with Doc, it's pretty clear he has actual feelings for her, not simply tension). That said, I like the new dude as well, but this is a bit too much at this point. So let's keep him just a frenemy at this point.
  9. That was pretty fun. There's lots of stuff going on with Waverly, the black ghosty thing (is Mercedes dead? I like her!), the Tucker family stuff, the Dolls plot, and, of course, the creature of the week (and he's not done - I like the wish thing, tempting heroes is always fun, especially anti-heroes like Doc and Wynonna). I kinda hope it will all tie together in the end, or mostly, at least. Still digging Doc/Wynonna. Jeez, the way he looked at her when he said he wasn't helping Dolls for Dolls. I'm so in. Although I did like Perry too - hope he returns sometimes, he could be a useful ally. The whole trophy case and high school REALLY gave me Buffy vibes. It's like they smashed together the episode about a high school sports team and the episode about a fraternity which summoned a demon.
  10. So... who the hell is Earl? I really don't remember him, but the show sorta assumed I should have... I don't really miss Dolls that much. He was OK, but I like the new dynamic too. Doc is definitely motivated by the stuff Dolls said to him, whatever it was. He was obviously trying to distance himself from Wynona, not to mention whatever he's doing in the lab.
  11. I'm kinda shipping Kimmy and Zach, which is weird, because I didn't really care for her "proper" love interests like Dong or the philosophy dude-wannabe reverend. They kinda seem well-matched and there's a ton of comedic potential there. I did miss Zach's introduction, it seems, because he came out of nowhere in the finale.
  12. Is it better than s2? Because I was quite disappointed with s2 after what I consider a really strong freshman season. The rules of time travel didn't make much sense and the Cole/Cassandra relationship wasn't as engaging as well. I also wasn't a fan of bringing Jones' daughter back and killing Deacon off in the finale (just when I started liking him).
  13. Hal's kid is way too boring. It was pretty specific when she never said outright it was his kid. But I do think it could be another (new) character rather than any of the dads. Or (more likely) the writers haven't decided it yet. They didn't. It was the combination of his looks and his obviously Hispanic name that made me think he was Latino.
  14. Joaquin? Isn't he, umm, Latino? I could imagine him as the son of Alice and Hiram, though.
  15. Awesome ep, one of the best of the show. Loved the way Octavia developed - wasn't Clarke who, in the end, united the clans as the Commander - it was Octavia who from the very beginning was bridging the gap between the Grounders and the Sky people. And holy shit, it was brutal and unpredictable. Too bad for Roan, liked him since s3. Luna's development should have been better shown (one criticism), but it did make sense.
  16. Oh my god, Adam Scott is basically his character Ben from Parks and Rec. It's awesome!
  17. Shakespeare's plays weren't intended as highbrow entertainment by any measure, so he probably wouldn't mind, I wager.
  18. Freakin' loved the ep. I think it was the best one yet. I liked them giving flaws to both Betty and Jughead, esp. Jughead. I still felt for him, he does seem to have abandonment issues/social anxiety or something like that. It's understandable for him to lash out like that, and thankfully, they were able to overcome this. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that Betty having a "dark side" basically makes her his counterpart and not a perfect girl next door he thought she was. Still don't care about Archie, but I do like Veronica, and she makes him a bit more palatable. I don't have any sympathy for Chuch. I don't care that he was a nice guy in the comics, and, go ahead and call me a racist, I don't really care if he's black or white or whatever. He's a dick. Full stop. Don't want to see him redeemed or anything like that. And the idea of Betty ever having a thing with him makes me want to vomit.
  19. I do, however, think that it hurts fandoms very severely. For instance, I'm quite sure that Daredevil would have a much stronger following were its seasons aired weekly rather than dumped all at once. It may allow for more in-depth discussion, but there isn't nowhere as much anticipation and speculation. It makes me mourn, because I love such stuff. For some shows (*cough* Lost) I had way more fun posting on forums and reading/writing theories on what would happen and the mythology compared to actually watching the show.
  20. Eh, I guess it's time to say goodbye to LoT. I'm just tired of them losing all the better male characters. I'm sure Mick's time will come next season.
  21. Just in this gif. I'm grumpy because I'm really starting to ship it, but it happened way to fast and has way too little build-up for me to really savor the pairing. It's annoying.
