  1. Matt's tattoo was absolutely terrible and I'm shocked he didn't get the boot. Eliminating Erik instead was the most obvious judging bullshit I've ever seen on this show. Chris doesn't actually bother me that much, but I don't mind arrogance when it's backed by talent. I loved when Scott Marshall won the Ink Master winners show, for example. The guy loves to talk shit for the cameras, but he's crazy good. Chris is a solid artist who may well win the whole thing, but I'm pulling for Duffy.
  2. My household cheered louder than when our favorite football team last one the Super Bowl. We were that happy Austin got blindsided. Thank you Vanessa!! Still this may be Dan vs Ian all over again with Vanessa vs Steve, which would be okay. Anyone but Liz is my current motto.
  3. So Vanessa takes out James I assume, which is fine with me even if I would much prefer Liz or Austin.
  4. Wowzers! He is such a piece of shit. His poor innocent children will need years of therapy. I will pray that Anna purposes to leave his scumbag, hypocritical, lying, molesting, cheating ass immediately. Of course, the cult will be desperately trying to keep her tied to him, so I don't actually think she will leave him. However, for now I will imagine Josh gathering his belongings off his front yard while Anna stands in the window telling him she'll call the police if he tries to come inside. Now that I would watch on TLC.
  5. The footage of the handjob in the pool was excessive. Also, I think they are all famewhore idiots, so I can't work up too much sympathy for the one date heartbreak of Juella. Go home to your child already. I don't like any of them. I haven't watched The Bachelor franchise and four years and I now remember why. I'll keep watching this season because I am a completionist, but then I'm done again.
  6. I am so happy one of the Jackie/Meg/James trio is gone. It's about time the house flipped back. They had the power for the last two weeks so it was time for someone else to get it. I don't get why Becky is still aligned with that group or why she doesn't seem grateful that John won the veto and thus saved her from being the re-nom. I thought Steve would waste this win on getting out Becky so I'm glad that didn't happen after all.
  7. I like Shelly so I'm hoping to see her kick a little ass now that Clay is gone. He was a huge distraction for her and added nothing to her game. I don't like Jackie, Meg, or James so I want one of those three to go home next. If not one of them, I hope Austin goes. Finally, why is Steve such a non-entity on the show? He is one of the most useless players to ever play.
  8. I think Jade is the most natural looking of the bunch, so I'm guessing that's what the guys like about her. Most of the other girls reek of desperation from their dyed hair to their fake eyelashes. I was sad to hear tonight that Kypton and Tenley had broken up. How terrible that he strung her along for five years and then immediately knocked up the first girl he hooked up with after the break up. I never particularly liked Tenley but I hope she does find her happily ever after soon.
  9. I'm fairly bitter that they kept Kruzeman. I guess I'm a total rule follower because it always pisses me off when someone gets away with ignoring or breaking the rules. Plus, I thought his tattoo was crap regardless. Still, Erik's ballerina foot was terrible. I didn't quite get the hate for Earl's wolf either, so if Kruzeman couldn't go home (FU Nunez) they at least could have sent home Erik instead.
  10. I hate Brittany so much. Of course she loves Jason. The Audrey show was super boring and I'm happy we can all get back to the game now.
  11. I liked the ring. Mother's rings are very common and very popular, so it's not the most original gift idea, but I still think it's pretty. I've always believed that Jim Bob and Michelle do love each other even if they are both dumb and nuts, so I don't see anything fake or wrong with their interaction in this particular video.
  12. I seriously hate every adult on this show. They all suck, and how I rank their suckage each week varies based on their level of self righteous delusion. But I've stopped trying to decide who is more wrong each week. Maddie's dance was gorgeous and Kendall and Nia both looked strong this week.
  13. I've heard Jim Bob and Michelle use the phrase "invest in the child/children" many, many times on the show. It's ATI speak like when they "purpose" to do something.
  14. I'm really happy I'm not the only one who binged the entire season already. This show still has me addicted. Does anyone know if Nicky is gone for good. I miss the character and was shocked when she was sent to max. I wonder what's going on there. That massive influx of prisoners is going to change the dynamics of the prison a lot next season.
  15. I just finished binge watching the entire series on Netflix for the first time. What a brilliant show, made all the more poignant by Andy Whitfield's death. And yes, the final episode was devasting to watch so thank you for the posts about the real history. I was wondering if someone here could recommend a good source for more history on Spartacus.
  16. This discussion reminds me of one I had with a family member who claimed she was Christian because her parents were even though she didn't believe that Jesus ever existed as either a human being or a deity.
  17. If Jefferson rejected the divinity of Christ, he rejected the core tenet of Christianity: https://carm.org/essential-doctrines-of-christianity And I'm guessing every church leader in America would agree. The divinity of Christ is not up for debate in the religion. Thus, if one does not agree with the central tenet of the religion, one can't claim membership within it.
  18. To be a Christian, to me, means to be a follower of Christ. I really think it's that simple. And I disagree that one can be culturally Christian; one either believes in the deity of Christ or not. Yes, the rest is all doctrine, dominations, etc, but the basic belief in the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Christ is what makes one a Christian, I would argue.
  19. I love this show! It's not perfect but in general I worship the premise and sincerely hope that this show will get enough media attention and viewers to hurt the Bachelor franchise.
  20. Thank you. I also carefully read both versions of the police report, twice, and I agree that I didn't hear any great lies in the girls' interview. It's possible that they lied back in 2006 to minimize the abuse and then re-memorized those same lies for these interviews, but I tend to believe them in general. I guess the Duggars' brain washing is working on me too because after watching both interviews, I feel sympathetic towards them. Also, while I do believe the children have all been indoctrinated into the ATI cult, I believe Jim Bob and Michelle are also victims of Gothard and his cult. Thus, while I disagree with some of their choices in dealing with Josh, I also understand how the teachings of Gothard have twisted their minds too and heavily influenced their choices. I guess my only hope now is that they all break free of ATI. One last thing, I do believe that this family does love each other very much, and the more the public attacks individual members, the more isolated the family will become.
  21. I don't know what to say about Anna other than that I feel bad for her. The woman is pregnant and dealing with three small children, which is more than enough for most to deal with, and now she has to deal with the wreckage and devastation caused by Josh, the man she clearly loves. The whole situation is terrible for her and her children.
  22. I keep seeing media outlets reporting that the girls and Josh never got proper counseling but in both interviews it was stressed that they all received counseling from an "accredited" counselor, which I do believe but only because family services was involved after the police report. I also believe that family services was satisfied with the results of their investigation because no children were taken into custody. At this point, I am choosing to believe that once family services got involved, the issue was dealt with. I do think the girls were prepared for the interview and that they repeated key talking points, but who would go into an interview like that unprepared? I think the girls believe that they and their parents are being honest about what happened, how it was dealt with, and how they feel now. I also think that the public reaction, while totally justified, is only serving to fuel their persecution complex and to push them deeper into their cult. The girls are being told by the media that how they say they feel is not how they really feel and that the parents they love didn't do enough to protect them. I think that Jessa's anger and Jill's tears last night are driven far more by the online comments and the media than anything else. Basically, I'm realizing that I agree with much of what the girls said last night, which is really weird. I don't think there was any way that Jim Bob or Michelle or the girls could have answered the questions in a way that was going to satisfy the public , I don't think the police report should have ever been published, and I do think that a lot of the anger directed at the Duggars is based on their outspoken judgment of the LGBT community.
  23. I do believe that they had chosen to pretend this never happened so that they could continue to be one big happy family. I believe that they are angry and devastated that they are being forced to deal with it again, especially now at the height of their own happiness. I believe they would be very happy if they and the show continued on as if these last two weeks never happened. And I do agree with them that In Touch magazine did not publish that report in an attempt to protect the victims. They published it for money. I hate that Megyn Kelly spent the reminder of her show talking with an expert about how unlikely it is that Josh will ever repeat his behavior and to confirm that the parents did the best they could. I don't know if the girls will get their wish to move on and continue to be on tv though. It's almost like they were asking their audience to move on if we truly care about them
