  1. So two people like the idea of having Troian Bellisario appear on Shameless. Hopefully the powers that be could make it happen!!! She is perfect for the show...talented, beautiful and intelligent. This would also be something quite different from Pretty Little Liars to add to her portfolio.
  2. Cuba Gooding's best role was in Boyz N the Hood. There could be 100 legitimate reasons why the gloves didn't fit after all the time between the murders and the trial. It was a moronic idea to have Simpson try them on. Part of it is that the jury was the biggest collection of idiots ever put together. Like stupid children, they have to be wowed/entertained, as opposed to being bored by the facts. That too is on the prosecution. They agreed to this collection of jurors, which I think is the main reason they lost the case.
  3. Here is a storyline suggestion regarding Lip: As Lip begins his most challenging college class (Quantum Physics??), he comes face to face with something he has yet to experience at the university...a classmate even more brilliant than he is. Stunningly beautiful Jordan Mitchell (played by the actress Troian Bellisario of "Pretty Little Liars") floors Lip, Professor Yoens and the class with her genius ability. Lip becomes obsessed with matching her in the classroom, which becomes a bitter, intellectual war zone between the two rivals. While the two develop a deep seeded hatred for each other, they can't help but meet up for steamy, late-night sexual encounters at her high priced Chicago penthouse paid for by her rich family. Has Lip met his match? Watch the fireworks explode! (I didn't know where to put this,so I stuck it here)
  4. Joey Lauren Adams was in Mallrats with Michael Rooker who was in JFK with Kevin Bacon. Next...America Ferrera
  5. There are actually more Latinos/Mexican Americans in West Covina than Asians, though both groups are sizable in the city.
  6. The show does a pretty good job with the accuracy of the geography of West Covina. Cameron is a major street. There is actually a huge Asian Supermarket and strip mall on the corner of Cameron and Glendora Avenue. The large Catholic church in the middle of the city is St. Christopher. There is a large shopping mall on Sunset right off the 10 Freeway. Also, there is an actual facility called Big League Dreams in West Covina exactly like the place Greg works...a series of softball fields with big league replicas connected by a restaurant/bar with TV's...I think the show has a different name for it. One thing they are completely wrong about... West Covina is NOT four hours from the beach. More like 45 minutes. You can drive straight down Glendora/Hacienda Avenue to Beach Blvd. all the way to Huntington Beach...about a 45-50 minute drive without traffic. Actually, Las Vegas, Nevada would be four hours from the beach...I can drive from Huntington Beach to Vegas in 4 hours!
  7. There isn't a human being in this entire world with the last name of "Schimingo".
  8. What a great season. I have to say that Season 3 of Ray Donovan, Season 2 of Miami Vice and the one Season of Luck on HBO are the best three seasons of television I have ever seen. I agree "that fucking guy!" was the line of the year, and how appropriate. Why didn't Ray and Avi just let Mickey go in himself, get wasted, then go in and take care of the Armenians. That would have solved everything. Mickey is the cause of 99% of Ray's problems from Day 1. Ray didn't kill the teacher, like everyone thought he would. That should have calmed Bridget down. The scenes with Ray and the priest all season were quite outstanding, especially in this episode. Fascinating to see Ray reach rock bottom. Liev Schrieber deserves an Emmy for his work this season, hands down. Eddie Marsan deserves supporting actor for his portrayal of Terry. Theresa is just as screwed up and disfunctional as Bunchy.
  9. Do you notice that Daryll is the only son who calls Mickey "Pops" (or Dad, Father, etc.)? I don't think I have ever heard the other sons refer to Mickey at Dad, Father or Pops. Unlike Daryll, they have been burned too much.
  10. MeTV showed the "Quincy" punk rock episode. One of the most hilarious hours of TV I have ever seen in my life!!!!!!
  11. Arlene Golonka was in Airport '77 with Jack Lemmon who was in JFK with Kevin Bacon. Next: Eliza Dushku
  12. I stand corrected. Art appears in the previews for the second episode of season 3 (next week).
  13. Is Art Bell gone for good? Maybe there is nothing left for the character and he will fade away. The actor's name didn't appear on the opening credits, as it did last season.
  14. What a terrible episode. Felipe is a complete doofus who has no business being on TV. No personality, inarticulate and hard to understand what the guy says. An episode about what happened with the hot chick and the basketball player would have been much more interesting.
  15. Wasn't it mentioned sometime in Season 1 that Frank is NOT Ian's father? That he was the product of an affair that Monica had with one of Frank's brothers. Am I remembering that correctly???
  16. Ona Munson was in The Red House with Rory Calhoun who was in Avenging Angel with Betsy Russell who was in Out of Control with Jim Youngs who was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon Next: Edward James Olmos
  17. John Fiedler was in "I Am the Cheese" with Robert Wagner, who was in "Wild Things" with Kevin Bacon Next: Aubrey Plaza
  18. Mamie Van Doren? Really? Someone who was in a handful of movies sixty years ago? Not gonna work.
  19. Trump is becoming old and fat. Reminds me of D'onofrio in the later seasons of "Law and Order: Criminal Intent". What a pathetic collection of arrogant, Z-list "celebrities".
  20. Season Two of "Miami Vice" was outstanding. The Phil Collins episode and the one with Frank Zappa were excellent. So was the one with the female prostitute killer who left drawings at the crime scene. Another great episode had basketball legend Bill Russell as a crooked judge with a gambling debt. Bernard King played his son and Michael Richards from Seinfeld was the sleazy villain. The season ended dramatically with Calderon's son getting revenge on Tubbs by killing his lover and taking his infant son.
  21. "Swimming With Sharks"...great film with Kevin Spacey as horribly abusive boss. "La Mission", with Benjamin Bratt set in the Mission District in San Francisco. Excellent film!
  22. Blue Is the Warmest Color is the best movie I have seen in the last five years. Talk Radio (1988, directed by Oliver Stone) is my favorite film of all time. Eric Bogosian should have received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for that film.
  23. Fox News Target Audience: Uneducated white people/Senior Citizens without college degrees from Hicktown USA. Methodology: Convince said audience that they are victims of reverse discrimination, that the government takes money out of their pockets to give to black/brown people, that they are "losing their country", that Obama wants to take away their guns, AND (most importantly) brainwash them with the delusion that they will ONE DAY become the super rich deserving all the deregulation and corporate welfare that they can blood-suck out of our economy/government. Collaborators: Right wing AM talk radio hacks/Limbaugh sound-alikes. What a disgrace. Stupid white people are a bigger threat to the well-being and future of our country that any other group.
  24. Charles Bronson was in Death Wish 2 with Larry Fishburne, who was in Mystic River with Kevin Bacon. Next: Larry Hagman
  25. Genesis, 1987, Invisible Touch tour at the L.A. Forum....GREAT show!!! Concert started at 11PM because Mike was flying back from his father's funeral in England. Didn't end until 2AM!!! Phil sings even better live that he does on record, and his drumming on the instrumental songs was amazing!! Stone Temple Pilots are the best live band I have ever seen!!
