  1. I absolutely hated the character of Tedros. A rotten human being in so many regards. True scum. A legend in his own mind. In his attempt to be a musical genius, he is truly just a clown. He makes Dewey from the movie Bandslam look like Jimmy Iovine. It was great to see him crash and burn in the last episode. Even in the very end, when Jocelyn brought him on stage and declared him the love of her life, did you notice how he remained a beaten man and didn't revert to his old self in that moment? He is permanently destroyed. The icing on the cake was when Jocelyn, in front of 80,000 people, ordered him to "stand over there". That was fun to see. Abel received a lot of criticism that he didn't deserve. He portrayed a rotten, evil character and he did it effectively. He was acting. His acting in the last episode as a broken man, was excellent. Abel shouldn't be criticized for the repugnance of his character and it would really be ridiculous for a fan of the Weekend to see him as his fictional character. I have gained a lot of respect for him, as someone who only vaguely knew of him before the show. I thought Lily Rose was outstanding as well...again portraying a character that is less than loveable. She is truly a beautiful woman as well. I look forward to seeing her in other roles in the future.
  2. I completely thought that the actress who played Blair Quon was Amber Midthunder, but it wasn't. She looked just like her.
  3. I hope that Jaskaran plays in the Tournament of Champions, since the Professors Tournament winner will be there. No one mentioned anything about that.
  4. This show has an interesting (and narrow) timeline. If you remember, season one started in summer, right before the start of school. Rue was born a day after 9/11/2001 and she is 17. That makes the beginning of Season 1 right around Rue's 17th birthday, September of 2018. The season progresses in the fall of 2018 and ends right before Christmas of 2018. Remember the special two episodes between seasons that featured Rue, Ali and Jules were set during the Christmas holidays. Remember that Season 2 Episode 1 was on New Years Eve, going into 2019. In the newest episode, a close up shot of a cellphone had the date of February 17th. I don't remember if there was a year there, but it would obviously be February 17th of 2019. So the entire arc of the Euphoria story from S1 E1 through the most recent episode is only a period of 4.5 to 5 months, from Aug/Sept of 2018 to February of 2019. What is amazing is that the show premiered in June of 2019, which will be THREE years four months from now. There was a huge amount of time from the filming of seasons one and two. It's a really good thing that the actors playing these teens are in their 20's, so there is no major change in their looks. Not so much for the younger characters. The actors playing Ashtray and Gia look a lot older than they did in season one. Those goofball twins, who I think were related to McKay, haven't appeared at all this season. I'm sure they look substantially older compared to season one as well. February of 2019 is also 13 months before Covid-19. With the current pace of the show, maybe they will get to that by Season 5!!!! If Maddy had ANY intelligence at all, the stunt Nate pulled with the gun should end things once and for all. She should use Rue's, "Your dead to me" line with Nate and have absolutely nothing to do with him going forward. That will not likely happen because she is not smart at all. Wow. Minka Kelly looks absolutely amazing. It was as if a 22-year old Lyla Garrity was dropped into Euphoria.
  5. So Nate says to Jules something to the effect of "I meant everything I said to you"...which I assume are the things he said to her at night, in the park after the carnival in season 1??? Jules said something in response that I didn't quite hear...was it "I meant it too"????? Will Nate become fixated with Jules soon? I don't think he has any interest in a "relationship" with Cassie. She's just a toy to him. I absolutely love Lexi. She can do 1000% better than that clown Fez. She has enough rotten people in her life.
  6. I LOVE the use of Gerry Rafferty's song Right Down The Line for the second episode in a row! Great song and used really well in the show. Euphoria always has great music and I love the use of the 70's songs here in the new season!
  7. No one seems to talk about what is going to happen with Shauna's baby? I assume that the baby would be due maybe 7-8 months after the crash, which would be 11-12 months before they are rescued. The chances of the baby surviving birth AND a year of life before rescue would be extremely minimal, I imagine. The baby would not be Callie since she is probably 17, and born 7-8 years after the rescue, though it would be her full sibling. I guess the craziest thing would be for that person to emerge in the modern story as a 24 year old. That would be crazy, though extremely unlikely.
  8. Minka Kelly? Wow, I didn't even recognize her and I was a big FNL fan.
  9. There is no way Nate would survive the beating he received from Fez at the end of the episode. He should be dead. Between the broken glass from the bottle cutting arteries and resulting in massive bleeding. The constant blows to the head which would definitely cause major brain damage and the overall effects of the beating would definitely render him dead. Ashtray killed Mouse with much less of a "beating" than Nate received...a beating that also featured broken glass. Also, keep in mind that injured Nate was in a room full of drunk, wasted, fucked up kids who are in no condition to do the right thing to treat him, or even call the paramedics in a time frame where they could treat/save him. It seemed like Fez was deeply in love with Rue at the end of season one, combined with a sense of guilt that he may feel some responsibility for her drug use (since he was her supplier). I think those factors are why he confronted Nate at the end of Season 1 and (in the aftermath of his bust that Nate was responsible for) beat him in this episode. Honestly, Nate should be dead and Fex should be arrested for murder...but it seems that the show will not lead to either of those things happening. Lexi is my favorite character and I root for her. Being the only character in the show who is not a fuck up, I root for her not to be dragged down into the sewer by her screwed up mother and all the other rotten people who she's surrounded by. Getting mixed up with Fez would be a huge mistake.
  10. Both of them are way out of his league. They could do a lot better than that clown.
  11. Hopefully it won't take a year and a half, like Euphoria.
  12. I found it interesting that in pictures of the young actress who plays Shauna (who is Canadian), she has blue or green eyes. In the show, she has brown eyes, likely to match Melanie Lynskey. I think the younger actress looks amazing with brown eyes and it really makes her resemble the adult actress, in addition to the mirroring of speaking patterns and facial expressions that you mentioned. They match much better than the other three pairs of actresses. I am confused about Juliette Lewis playing adult Natalie. She has this slurred speech way of talking that makes me think of her as a recovering addict who suffered permanant damage. Is that something Juliette Lewis has incorporated into the character, or is that just how the actress really talks? If it's the former, it is an example of great acting. I have no idea.
  13. The actress who plays Mia is the daughter of Josh Brolin, who appeared in the Sicario movies written by Yellowston creator Taylor Sheridan. Lloyd looks like a idiot. Laramie is young enough to be his granddaughter.
  14. I am just new to watching the show and I am up to Season 1, Episode 7, this episode. At this point of the show, I am shocked how rotten a person Devi is. Even the "C" word would be an appropriate description for her. She is selfish, obnoxious, disrespectful, arrogant, narcissistic, and an overall pain in the ass. I have never seen a main character in a coming-of-age show like this be so rotten and unlikeable. It's shocking. Despite all of that, I find the show intriguing and very good, and I will surely continue watching.
  15. I hope the second season continues with the same cast. Both Olivia and Chiara were spectacular throughout season one. The show just can't lose such amazing actresses and retain quality. I think the story can be picked up in the summer of '96. After a quiet few months we can revisit the characters that summer, maybe both would have slipped even further into the abyss they were at in '95. Unresolved issues from season one could hit everyone and create an intriguing story. What was so great about Olivia and Chiara was not only how different each looked in all three years ('93,'94 and'95), but how they acted their characters so differently in all three. It was like seeing six different girls with distinct personalities and experiences as each young lady performed their character in those three years. For either to be missing from season two as a major character would created a huge void that would ruin the show.
  16. I was super excited about the scenario of Gabriel Byrne's Dr. Weston visiting Brooke at that moment and how great that encounter would have been. Then, it didn't happen. What a deflating disappointment. Brooke on Brooke was a cheap, gimmicky stunt that was salvaged by Uzo's amazing acting which saved it from being a true disaster.
  17. How many episodes are there in this, the first season? Eight? Ten? More than that? Maybe 79 is the year of her father's death, since he passed when Kate was very young.
  18. Tarantino also used her in Once Upon A Time...in Hollywood as one of the Manson hippie chicks. You talk about nepotism.
  19. According to a USA Today article on Jeopardy published this week, the dates for the next three guest hosts are set... Katie Couric will have two weeks starting on March 5th. Then, quack/charlatan Dr. Oz pollutes the show for two weeks, starting March 22. Then Aaron Rodgers will start his two week stint the day after Easter, April 5th. Apparently, these shows were taped in January. The dates of the other guest hosts were not announced yet. Very disappointing that a clown like Dr. Oz was selected for this. Richards' quotes in the article support Dr. Oz ("He was 'close' to Alex", was said as a justification, in addition to a general appeal for the Jeopardy community to be receptive, even to the hosts they may not like). I at least know what two weeks to skip. I think Aaron Rodgers will be great. He is a sharp guy and I am looking forward to his appearance. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2021/02/22/jeopardy-producer-guest-hosts-and-who-replace-alex-trebek/4538881001/
  20. Send Upton to FBI permanantly and bring back Rojas. That would solve a lot.
  21. What happened to Rojas? I liked her a lot, a heck of a lot more than Upton. She just disappeared off the face of the earth in this new season, without a mention. That really sucks.
  22. Both of these episodes were outstanding! I love shows with heavy dialogue. My favorite scenes from the Sopranos were the therapy sessions with Tony and Dr. Melfi, and I also loved the show In Treatment. In just two episodes, a great deal was revealed about Rue and Jules and how each sees the situation they are dealing with. It is such a huge advancement of the story. The acting and writing in both episodes was amazing. I imagine that many of the very young Euphoria fans may have been bored with these episodes and maybe didn't like the "lack of action". I thought they were excellent! The bad news is that I read in the paper that there is still no announcement of when production and filming will start for Season 2. The filming of Season two was three days away from starting when the pandemic shut everything down last March. It looks like Season 2 will not be coming any time soon, which is unfortunate.
  23. The best Hall of Shame episode so far was Lip. It was great to see Amanda, who was my favorite of all his girlfriends and I really liked the episodes when he was in college. I imagine there will be a Frank Hall of Shame episode and they should have one about Fiona, but since she is off the show maybe they won't. It's understandable that they would make these episodes to "fill time" during the pandemic. Lots of highlights and limited filming of new scenes giving them 5-6 extra episodes. It does slow down the progression of the story in its last season, though.
  24. Wow. Whatever minimal interest there was on this show here has completely evaporated. This may be the strangest and most unusual show I have ever continued watching. This Fraser kid is a real whack job and the way his mother has raised him and the interactions they have really show how that happened. This show is kind of sad because so many characters are messed up and mentally out of it...Fraser, his mother, Richard, Danny, the other teens, Caitlin to a certain extent, Caitlin's mother is a mess as well. Poor Maggie. She is one of the few together, rational people stuck in the middle of all these crazies. Something really bad happened right when the last episode ended, but I have no idea what. I have a feeling things are going to go haywire in the last two episodes.
  25. Interesting second episode, basically a replay of the "events" of the first episode, but from the perspective of Caitlin as opposed to Fraser whose perspective was shown in episode one. So Caitlin has two brothers and a "boyfriend"? Her father and older brother seem hard core military, while the other brother seems troubled. Caitlin seems to worship her father while (quietly, so far) despising her mother. The mother seems like a fish out of water that is disrespected by her husband and kids. It seems like they look down on her (maybe subconsciously) for being Nigerian, or maybe she is just a doormat. It seems odd that Caitlin had her first period in this episode. If she is freshman in high school aged, I figure it would have started a couple years earlier. Weird how she tells her father about it and not her mother. Caitlin is a very complex character (as is Fraser) and it will be interesting to see their respective journeys in the show. Regarding the preview scenes of future episodes, it seems there will be some serious stuff coming down with Caitlin, Fraser's Mom, Fraser and the soldier he likes. We'll have to see what happens.
