If I found the correct property, it was built in1850! So, 171 years old? ๐ค My house is 95 years old, and when we bought it the electric wires were kind of paper-clothish covered...When we started replacing the wiring( after some problems) the electrician was amazed it had never caught fire. ๐ But, everything else has stood up very well. Houses used to be built really well back then. So maybe the "bones" of their house are OK, and just needs cosmetic upgrades.

Soon she'll look like Turner of Big Brother. (well hopefully without the mustache) ๐ (it's ugly on him too)

I think it can run in families? My daughter and both had it in both wrists. Yes, we both did/do jobs using computers, but werent on a keyboard for extended periods. Just a few minutes here and there. We both just have really skinny wrists, so less room for the median nerve to run through, and it gets inflamed easier (or something like that, I'm not a doctor, and this years and YEARS ago.) But all that blathering above was to give you the same advice I gave my daughter.. RUN , don't WALK, and get a carpal tunnel surgery evaluation if you can! (remember this is just my personal experience, I don't want anyone to take medical advice from me! Ask your doctor!!!) The reason I told her "just go get the surgery, was that I suffered with both wrists for a couple of years. The pain used to wake me up at night and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I even got severe depression because of the pain. ๐ญ I tried everything the doctors told me to (wearing wrist-braces,taking NSAIDS and using ice-packs. I even got so desperate I let them give me injections of cortisone in my wrists.(those hurt like a SOB) ๐ None of that *carp* worked much at all. Finally, I was referred to a hand surgeon, and got one wrist done... after a few weeks recovery... HALLELUJAH.. the pain was gone, gone.. GONE!! I got the second one done a month later.. and same wonderful results (after the recovery time. ) I told my daughter that I wished I had gotten the surgeries way, way sooner than I did. Years of hurting for no dang reason. She had already tried the same stuff I had been told to try, and no relief for her either. After I talked to her, she also got a referral to a surgeon and got BOTH wrists done at once (she's nuts, she had to have her husband wipe her booty for her afterward. (tmi?) ๐ But again, after the recuperating time, she also has been completely free from pain ever since. So talk to your doctor and see if surgery is an option for you. BTW, we both had open surgery years and years ago. I think they can do it by endoscopy now, so even less recovery time. The end ๐

I'd also like to thank all you live feed posters. I love to read posts about the feeds, but trying to actually watch even a little bit of the feeds make my teeth itch. ๐ I especially like the posts that describe the day to day minutia of the HG lives. I also appreciate the posts that have me thinking of other points of view. I may not agree with them, but I like to hear differing (respectful) opinions. But most of all I love the posts that make me laugh my ass off. Thank you all. ๐ค<<-- can't delete๐

How about just plain old Big Brother History? ๐ค

Ha! I got sent that book for free, because they used a (stupid) quote I made in the "Married At First Sight" forums, and they mentioned my real name in the dedications. ๐ ๐ ๐ To keep it on topic, I really enjoy all of everyone's posts here about the live feeds, so thanks everyone :)

Are you sure your neighbor isn't MY sister? ๐คฃ I can't get her to stop the negativity for ANYTHING,no matter how hard I've tried. But she's very lonely so I take her phone calls, and just put her on speaker and let her ramble for an hour or two (not even kidding. ) Then I read something (usually PTV ๐)while she's droning on and on. All I have to do is throw in some "uh huhs" and "oh really" and she never even notices I'm not really listening to her. (it's always the same crabby *carp*) ๐ (if this sounds mean, it's not just me who she drives nuts with her whining... she has 7 grown kids, and only one of them still (kinda) talks to her.. it's sad really). ๐ข

Thanks for your kind words everyone. I wrote the first post at 4am so I kind of was having a pity party for myself. I was up that late because the whole thing is giving me insomnia from stress, and I needed a place to vent. Thanks again, I really appreciate you all.

Well, they are all eating, drinking, & using a litter box (lots and lots of ๐ฉto scoop) so that's all good. I worried they wouldn't, because this woman was a big time hoarder, and had so much stuff to hide in. (didn't know that before I said I'd take them all.) And that house reeked.. but not of cat pee.. just MANY other strong odors. It took us two full days to help the son catch all three.. and their A/C wasn't working ๐ฅ ๐ฐ ๐ฅ The 6yo long haired blonde one has barely come out in two weeks (hides behind my washer) and is very shy and skittish . The 1 yo old has come out and accepted scritches, but he's the only one who will come to me. The 8 yo comes out to play with the 1 yo at night but won't come near me. He runs when he sees me, and hides behind my dryer. (I'm trying to let them come to me, because I'm sure it traumatized them to be taken from everything they've known.) They have weird names: Sir Chief Effen Puss 8yo (white nose fur/pink nose) Fuzzy Butt. 1yo (chipped) Independence Warhol. 6yo (blonde hair) (TMI, probably) sorry for such a long post Here is what the son wrote to me, that got me to take them, and the pictures he sent (pics were taken in his mom's hoarder house, it's not my junk ๐ ) :

Speaking of cats....i just adopted THREE cats (because they were a bonded trio, and their owner died.) The owner's only son was about to have one of them put down because he couldn't get anyone to take it (the oldest one) and he really wanted them to all be adopted together. His bereavement leave(from the Navy) was up, and he had to get back to his ship in 2 more days. So I took all THREE... because I'm a (idiot) sucker for a sob-story. I am not happy I did this, because my husband has been pissed off at me ever since. I thought he'd get over it, but it's been two weeks today, and he has NOT ๐ญ... Why OH WHY did I DO it?! ๐๐๐ (I'm debating even posting this, but WTH) ๐ญ Ps all the no kill shelters in our area are completely full, and are not taking any cats rn, which is why he was so desperate to find someone (stupid) to take them.

S15.E05: Everything Whale Be Okay
ChiCricket replied to Emma Snyder's topic in Married At First Sight
Maybe she never liked her mom or dad's surnames, and just wanted to change it. I mean, do we even know Nate's surname? Does it "go" well with Stacia? I'm maybe putting too much thought into this,๐ but I have a niece who had a perfectly good maiden name, and changed it her husband's last name which is... HURLBUT. ๐ Love makes you do crazy things? (no offense to any other Hurlbuts out there) Ps.. I just looked up the name, and all I can find are Hurlburt... But her last name is now 100% for sure HURLBUT. Anyway, to circle back, maybe Stacia has always hated her name and that's why she changed it to his so fast. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ -
It's still pretty uncommon. (the only Fred I know is in his late 70's.. so maybe it's due for a comeback. ) https://namerology.com/baby-name-grapher/

My good news for Sunday.. I invited all my (Illinois) family to just hang out at my house and play games, and every single one of the 14 came..even my kid's spouses! We actually all played games together (that is SO rare. ) We had a blast.. especially playing family feud (which I got for only $2 at goodwill ๐) I've been feeling pretty down the last few months (no reason) and this really cheered me up.. big time.๐

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
ChiCricket replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
"After inmates receive a permanent building assignment, rules for maintaining quarters there are strict and detailed. Twenty bullet points in the handbook outline everything from daily floor mopping to precise bed-making technique to mandatory daily dusting of baseboards and pipes." "Some FPI work includes jobs in the facilityโs textile factory. The manual notes that the starting pay for FPI positions is 23 cents per hour. There is a waiting list for these jobs and inmates are required to interview for the positions." (underlined by me) -
MAFS Social Media, Spoilers & Speculation
ChiCricket replied to Bella's topic in Married At First Sight
This has a bunch of info on the Season 15 cast. I'm putting it here because some of it was kind of spoilery sounding. (shows the social media presence of 8 of the 10 of the cast, before and AFTER the show was filmed.) ๐ -
OH BROTHER.. ๐ ... " However, we are โroughingโ it a bit and sadly, it caused our print shop work to come to a SCREECHING halt! With gas prices as high as they are, it is costing us a LOT to keep the generator running 24/7. People have asked how they can help us and our ministry during this time. The biggest way is โ PRAYER. Please pray that our power will be restored sooner than later and that we can get back to work! Secondly, if anyone would like to help our family out during this extra strenuous, financial time, please feel free to donate to our ministry through the โDonate Nowโ button on our website. "
