  1. Another example of a woman letting her snobby parents treating her husband like shit was in The Vow. The fact that she had amnesia and didn't remember him was no excuse. And I hated how she didn't seem to blink an eye when her ex was bragging to Channing Tatum about she was going to sleep with him eventually, and only upset when Channing Tatum punched him in the face. Yes, she probably didn't know about the circumstances, but still. I watched Law Abiding Citizen the other night, and man did I hate Jamie Foxx's character. He willingly made a deal that got the murderer of Gerard Butler's family off because he didn't want to risk losing his case and tarnishing his perfect track record. Yes, some justice is better than none and I certainly don't condone Gerard Butler's character for going psycho on everyone, but that wasn't justice. And the fact that Jamie Foxx never acknowledges that it was a bad decision throughout the whole film is infuriating.
  2. LOVED the Avengers 2 trailer and I too loved how they made "I Got No Strings" so creepy. Disney owning Marvel isn't such a bad thing after all. And if we're getting shirtless Thor, I want a shirtless Captain America too.
  3. I almost screamed "BULL SHIT!" right then and there. Poor Mellie and poor Huck. The only thing that made me feel even remotely happy was the preview of Abbie confronting Fitz, not as the president, but as "the married man who slept with (her) friend and is now imprisoning the man she is currently sleeping with."
  4. Well this episode had the most disgusting example of slut-shaming I've ever seen. Poor Evie.
  5. Movie actors and experienced Shakespeareans are both acceptable in this thread.
  6. Mockingbird can stay on this show forever. Please let her stay on this show forever! I do NOT want a redeemed Ward.
  7. I would love for Sharon Carter to make an appearance. I mean, they showed Peggy Carter, so it would only be fitting...
  8. I can't freaking wait!
  9. No, I meant I hope the next new episode is a Halloween one.
  10. Aw man. Well I hope it's Halloween episode.
  11. Is it wrong that I didn't blame Homer for being attracted to Old Marge? She really was more likable. And If Marge would rather stay with Homer and yet continue to a bitter ninny, then that's her fault not his. But yeah, the family killing themselves/getting killed by Willie was dark.
  12. Rick was right: they should have finished off Terminus when they had the chance. Gareth cannot die slowly or painfully enough to satisfy me.
  13. Anna and Elsa's parents suck. The Charmings, on the other hand, continue to be laughably hilarious. Emma really does need to move out, but I love these awkward family moments. It's always one step forward and two steps back with Captain Swan, isn't it?
  14. Letting Mellie do whatever she wants regardless of it causing her to embarrassment herself doesn't make him a better husband, IMO. "I'm failing as a father, husband, and man." Oh Fitz, that ship sailed a looooooooooooooooong time ago. During his self-righteous rant to Mellie, I tried to imagine her bashing his brains out with one of the desk ornaments. When he was pawing Liv in the Oval Office I fantasized about her kneeing him in the groin. While either one of those things would be awesome, they still wouldn't be enough to satisfy me at this point. And you can tell he's just happy to have some reason to lock Jake up. Olivia calling out those bastards was phenomenal, but when she got to the part about them "having everything yet wanting more," I was thinking to myself, "That's exactly the kind of person Fitz is!" Yet she will never ever call him on it.
  15. Actually Maggie Roswell has been doing the voice of her for some time, so I think Manjula is safe. I didn't know she was first voiced by Jan Hooks though. Wow.
  16. LOVE Chris Noth.
  17. SERIOUSLY. There's only so much shit a person should take from their boyfriend/girlfriend's family. I know the saying is you're marrying them, not their family, but that's kind of bullshit. You have to deal with their family throughout the whole marriage: they should at least be people that treat you with respect, and vice versa.
  18. Wow. Nathan's parents are assholes just like Butters' parents. No wonder the kid is so evil. As was the Great Cereal Raid at the supermarket. Best episode so far! It didn't hurt that I loved spoofing the McConaughey adds, and him getting blown up and sucked into a wormhole was just icing on the cake.
  19. Glad I'm not the only one that thought Holden was Lewis Jr. I'm honestly glad they shot him: there's a fine line between being genuinely mentally ill and being a obsessive narcissist that blames all women for not liking them. So no, I didn't buy the mother's argument that he was "sick" and I didn't at all feel sorry for her at the end. I felt sorrier for Holden's victims, including his former teacher, whose baby is going to grow up without a father just because some sick little punk was jealous that she got married. Sorry to get on the soapbox, it's just that I take this kind of crap personally. I was socially awkward, picked on, had a terrible time in high school, and never went on a date, but I never went on a killing spree and hurt people -- maybe because my parents actually bothered to raise me right.
  20. In honor of Halloween ,is there any love for Sweeney Todd? I know that Tim Burton's version wasn't exactly the same as the stage version, but I liked how he incorporated the feel of a gothic horror film. All that blood though...yeesh. Johnny Depp was great in the lead; his singing voice was awesome and he did a good job putting his own spin on Sweeney as this emotionally dead person. The look on his face when Mrs. Lovett told him what happened to his wife was heartwrenching. Speaking of whom, I might be in the minority that liked HBC as Mrs. Lovett. Granted, after watching Emma Thompson in the recent Lincoln Center performance of the show, I think she would have been phenomenal, but HBC wasn't too bad.
  21. Sorry to list another on such short notice, but I just remembered my eternal hate for Nothing But The Truth, specifically when we find out that Kate Beckinsale's "secret source" was in reality the FBI agent's innocent little girl that she purposely tricked into outing her mom. All that shit about protecting her sources was a lie. The FBI never would have prosecuted a child for a mistake. The only reason she didn't say who it was because she didn't want everyone to find out what a manipulative, opportunistic bitch she really was.
  22. I'm seriously starting to ship May and Coulson. There is something more than platonic going on there... To be fair, I was thinking the same thing. Let's not forget that this lady was the voice of Mulan too. She is ten thousand kinds of badass. Once again, poor poor Fitz.
  23. I really hope Michonne and Rick become more than just friends. Not only is she more of a mother to Carl than Lori ever was, she's a way better "wife" to Rick -- and they haven't even hooked up yet!
  24. I watched The Descendants recently, and sooooo many things piss me off. First and foremost was that George Clooney's comatose wife was a selfish spoiled bitch who was ready and willing to throw her family away for a married man with two kids. Obviously she didn't care enough about her own family -- she clearly didn't pay attention enough to her youngest daughter to teach her not to talk and act so inappropriately -- and she didn't care about breaking up someone else's family just so that she could have watch she wanted. Then there was her bitch friend, who gave the whole "you weren't around and she has needs" excuse to George. You know what? EVERYONE has needs, but that doesn't give you an excuse to hurt other people for it. And the father-in-law was a real piece of work. I know that it's terrible to lose your daughter while your wife already has dementia, but again, that's no excuse. Instead of offering comfort or support to the family, he acts like a complete jerk, blaming George for the accident because he wouldn't let his wife buy her own boat, and then going on about how perfect his daughter was. Even though it was better for George to stay quiet instead of telling him the truth, I wouldn't have blamed him if he did. So by the time we get to the whole maudlin "Goodbye my love, my pain, my joy" speech, I was ready to throw something at my screen. I know it was important for him to forgive so that he could move on. Still, a simple goodbye would have been sufficient.
  25. Oh God, I KNEW they were going to play "Love Is A Dream" for the tribute. I was crying into my blanket even more than the first time I ever saw it. RIP Jan and Phil. Bill was good. Loved seeing Stefon again, even when he couldn't stop cracking up.
