A is for Appetizers at the Hacienda Hut, which Dorothy could have bought and enjoyed herself if there had been no Michael to take her money.

Boring. Without any children, husbands or sisters to supply the drama, not to mention create a lot of storylines for the show. Dorothy and Stan's relationship alone provided a lot of material for many of the episodes.

C is for cheese cake they'd have to eat alone.  If narrowing down to each other helps I can bend to that.

K is for not knowing Captain Kangaroo's schedule if they didn't know Rose who swiped the daily planner by mistake.

L is for Laszlo, who would only have had Blanche as a model for his sculpture if she hadn't known Dorothy and Rose.

N is for Nurse Defarge, who could have catered to Sophia's whims indefinitely if the other girls hadn't been there to have their nocturnal activities disturbed.

O is for the operation Dorthy wouldn't have had (on her foot) if she had not been in the dance class with Rose and Blanche. Remember, she'd had the problem for years but only got operated on after she had the problem in class.

P is for PFheiifer, who the girls would not know if they didn't share a neighbor or were motivated to care by each other.

Q is for Sophia being Zulu Queen of the Dwarf People.  She never would have made that up if Rose, a person she lived with, hadn't asked her what her name was.

R is for the Rusty Anchor, a place Dorothy would have never gone to if it weren't for Blanche.

S is for St. Gustav, the sister city of St. Olaf. Why, if that wild madcap city (you must have heard of it, "The City That Never Naps"?) had never existed, the citizens of St. Olaf would have never known to come in out of the rain...

T is for Truby, who could have been Blanche's roommate after all if the other girls hadn't lived there.

U is for Blanche's Uncle Lucas, who Dorothy obviously would never have met if she didn't know Blanche.  And they lived happily ever after.

V is for Viedenflugen. Blanche never would have known the meaning of the word if it weren't for Rose. Or had Rose read the paper to her while massaging her feet.

W is for wedding (Blanche's that was ruined in season 1 pilot) that would have devistated her completely is the others hadn't been there.

X is for seX that wouldn't happen if Dorothy hadn't met Uncle Lucas.  So good she named it!

Y is for Young. Blanche felt positively youthful compared to Dorothy & Rose and told them so more than once. Without them, that would not have happened.

Z is for Zingers. Without Dorothy, Blanche and Rose, Sophia wouldn't have had such easy targets to let loose on.

A is for artwork. The Girls' plan to "buy low, sell high" on an original work of art by Jasper DeKimmel, backfired when Sophia prolonged his life.

B is for breeding minks.  B is also for Baby, the pig Dorothy and Blanche were (temporarily) willing to let suffer so they could get their hands on his inheritance.

C is for cheesecake that would have never been eaten.

C is for Sophia's Crazy idea to buy a prizefighter.

D is for Dorothy having Blanche as a last minute dance partner in the dance-a-thon. Nothing against it in the rulebook, but still pretty shady (and I do think they were doing it more to spite Rose at that point than to actually win).

E is for Rose saving the egg yolks to give to homeless people.  "You're heart's in the right place, Rose, but I don't know where the hell your brain is."

F is for Fidel Santiago. Blanche and Sophia's plan to simultaneously date him went awry when he died.

G is for Sophia pretending to be Charlie's ghost and causing Rose to break up with Miles.

Forgetting the character assassination wrought upon us by Golden Palace, Miles was very good to Rose, and Sophia was just a mean old lady like the paperboy said.

J is for Jail. Having that drink in their hotel lobby before seeing Burt Reynolds led the Girls to a night behind bars.

@AndySmith, that was Dorothy and Rose who teamed up.   Blanche stole someone else's date when hers cranked out.

K is knees, which Johnny No Thumbs was going to lose if he kept hassling Sophia and Rose for selling bacon, lettuce and potato sandwiches.

(I thought Dorothy and Blanche teamed up, too. I can't find a clip, though.)

L is for the lottery ticket that the girls wanted to take back from the homeless shelter, before they thought better of it and gave it as a donation.

M is for Married Man. Dorothy's dating Glenn O'Brien was a shady decision. And the one time Rose dated a married man, he died in her bed!

M is also for Mercedes. Blanche's scheme to meet men by selling a car caused her to have a bunch of disgruntled men in her living room.

M was such a good letter, had to do two!
