BodhiGurl July 20, 2019 Share July 20, 2019 LVP should have never okayed Dorit's family having another dog (Lucy was the second dog VPDs placed with the Kemsleys), let alone a young, small dog. Add on that LVP should have never okayed VPD turning the other cheek when Dorit violated the terms of the contract. She allegedly knows the Kemsleys well - so she should have known that was a poor choice given their lifestyle. Also a poor choice knowing they have two very young children who are at that ripe age of agitating a pet. As others have speculated, maybe this was all a messed up attempt to get attention to VPDs, and get yet another spin off. Still makes it a poor choice. 8 Link to comment

I agree with you 100%. I wasn't referring to degreed professionals who use those terms. I was referring to the regular folks who have no education or degree in psychology/psychiatry that label people "bipolar/bpd/narcissistic.." Sorry I wasn't clearer on what I was trying to convey! Going to comment on another unpopular opinion: the big penis. Here's my take on it: it's like going to buy a regular size SUV and that's what you are anticipating. But when you get there it's actually a Hummer party bus. Way too big for one person. 6 1 Link to comment

(However, I don't keep up with the Lucy puppygate thing so that may be common knowledge). If that is true It seems like VPD needs to stand by its contracts for adopters. Glad Lucy ultimately found a good home. Too much attention placed on this one dog adoption. VPD should be featuring more of the dogs that are still needing forever homes. 2 Link to comment

She uses animals as a figurative shield; attack LVP and her rabid fans will tear you apart for attacking their patron saint of animal rescue. Her pink and mirrors Barbie dream house is ridiculous and it must smell like a barn or alternatively reek with perfume. Her makeup is fucking atrocious, and nobody could have made a fortune from nightclubs, bars and restaurants like Ken and Lisa did without being exploitative and shady people. And as for her LGBT support, she does it to promote her restaurants in WeHo. I agree with this. LVP needs the show, no one would have heard for VPD if Lisa hadn't been on the show. No one would even know who LVP is had she not been on the show. Most people don't get rich for being kind, considerate people. I wonder how rich LVP actually is. 11 Link to comment

Sharonana July 21, 2019 Share July 21, 2019 I'm rewatching episode 2 where Kyle and LVP are at the dermatologist. They were having a good ole time and laughing it up. That's part of the show that I enjoy. I like seeing true friendships and not people just thrown together for the sake of the show. It's sad that this friendship has ended. They had their ups and downs, but I think they truly cared for one another. I like them together and wish things would have turned out differently. I'm sure they both wish it. LVP should have handled the dog situation better. Dorit reneged on the contract and should have been held accountable. Puppygate got blown way out of proportion, and now the whole season has gone to hell in a hand basket. I will continue watching even though a long time cast member will no longer be part of the show. TPTB should have stepped in to fix things before it all haywire. 2 Link to comment

However, many people who don’t have the requisite background seem to throw out terms willy billy. I appreciate the perspectives of people who are trained professionals. It would be helpful to me, the lay reader, to have you remind us of your background when you post your professional opinion 3 Link to comment

suomi July 22, 2019 Share July 22, 2019 I disagree. Sociopaths, narcissists, borderlines, bipolars, et al are found everywhere, every day, among the general population. It's not like we are rarely exposed to them - it's not like they are rounded up and segregated but somehow manage to make the occasional escape and roam free until they are re-captured. On the contrary - they are relatives, significant others, friends, neighbors, bosses, employees, co-workers, teachers, authors, physicians, talk show hosts, actors, politicians, clergy, etc. After enough exposure to them (whether by interaction or observation), even without a formal education leading to a degree, we may not know the precise name for their maladjustment but we do indeed recognize that they are "off," and we often are quite close to the mark when "naming" what we perceive. 4 Link to comment
emma675 July 24, 2019 Share July 24, 2019 (edited) 1. I like Erika. I don't know why, she's probably a handful of arrogance in real life, but I like her on the show. 2. I like this version of Dorit that started appearing on and after the camping episode. She's still completely full of herself and totally lying about things but she cracked me up over and over in Provence. 3. I want Kyle to stay for the dog and house porn alone. 4. I like Denise, filthy mouth, sex talk, and all. 5. I want next season to feature all of these ladies so we can truly see how they do without LVP. Edited July 24, 2019 by emma675d 7 Link to comment

Not sure it’s ethical to purposely hire people with disorders, since they are illnesses, but very educational - and incredibly interesting. 2 Link to comment

In season 1, the impression was their friendship had a significant history. But now when both women talk about how long they’ve been friends, they say around 10 years or something, so they may not have been the longtime pals I thought they were prior to RH. 2 Link to comment

Someone needs to edit this to put a onesie on her with a frilly baby bonnet and a pacifier. I can’t imagine anyone being this needy that she’ll make an ass out of herself on a near-constant basis. It’s not “edgy”. It’s not “sexy”. It’s ridiculous. At least she didn’t flop on her back and spread ‘em. I’m tired of her. She needs help that only a trained professional can provide. 1 1 2 Link to comment
