I wonder would it help or hurt even more if the sticker-on-poloroid-picture would advance into a electric board that  a TCC could see all the time, so she knew where she stood, with each judge and guest choreographer. And each guest wouldn't know how another person voted.

Just thinking of Alexander's face after 5 years of trying out, to find the same night she was cut, that she only had a few stickers.

I just noticed the "CMT" stickers on the back. I guess they get 45 stickers.

Still surprised KaSara didn't pick bestie Amy for point when K&J asked for her opinion.

Did melissa R ever say why she only did 2 years DCC?

The following season (Cassie was a TCC), it did look like it was a shift in dance ability and what the judges wanted in training camp. 5 veterans were cut, too.

Kelli also had a vet only meeting, stating that vets are eligible to be cut and showed the ranking board of where they fell at auditions. Nicole  failed the written test and Erica solo costume was --- let's say not the best choice . something had to happen for the heat to get turned up all of a suidden.

I've been looking through the cameos on Pompedia and it's really interesting to see how the photos have changed. There used to be a lot more girls doing a sexier face as opposed to a smile, now you might see one or two girls per season like that. Possibly due to the squad's average age getting younger?

RE: 2nd round tryouts -Mia Jackie Bob, Minchew sisters, etal; @ hotel b/c of new stadium construction

Do they still have one of Judy's assistants do the dance while the audition groups are going in front of the judges? I couldn't snap a pic quick enough but every so often footage shows an assistant in the far corner doing the dance - left of the judges

Season 6.  Now I didn’t  care for the cut they have Taylor, but those extensions she had did nothing for her either
Earlier this morning season 4 was on and kitty wouldn’t not let whoever veteran pick Mia as someone who would make the team !

I disagreed with Kitty there and love that Mia 100% proved her wrong. But I also liked that scene because it was one of few times we got to hear a little of what vets thought of the rookies as dancers.

Probably some ladies would be highly motivated by the ranking board being displayed continuously and others would lose confidence and let it get in their heads. (Others might let their high rank go to their heads, too, in obnoxious attitude ways.) I almost always think that the TCCs should have had some clue of where they stood before getting cut. Alexandra got lots of commentary on her mistakes and just couldn't get a grip on the choreo. She had to know that, I think, even if she didn't want to see the writing on the wall.

100%! She was thrilled for her friend but, if Kash had been in Kelli's shoes, she would not have picked such a snoozer for point. Speaking of, any further word on why KaShara has parted ways with DCC?

Carmen B, Leah M, Michelle M, Kelli Jo S, and Kristin H (I think) were the 5 vets cut in season 3 (2008).Carmen, Leah, and Michelle made the 2008-09 Mavs dancers along with (cut) TCCs, Leah P, Katie S, and semi finalist Alex B.

Speaking of, I still wonder what Kashara and Amy meant with the "that's cute" thing when Amy said she was splitting point with Maddie. Was it sarcastic? Seemed like an odd thing to say.

As far as Kashara parting ways with DCC, has that been confirmed? I'm not sure if I believe it, but if she did maybe she had a choreographer opportunity elsewhere.

And speaking of Kashara, I was looking at her IG the other day. I never knew (or maybe I did and just don't remember) that she once lived with Lacey.

What did she major in college? When she gave one of her exit goodbyes , she said she wanted to give time to her other passions. I took that to mean she had another career path to explore.

Thanks. I couldn't think of the 5th girl's name. I seem to recall the cameras showing Kristin sitting in the chairs so that's why I guessed on her.

I think it was just Kashara trying to be supportive. Like if she had seem surprised it would have undermined Judy's idea to have two points

Hats off to the ladies on the calendar shoots. Talk about being very confident and comfortable in your own skin. Not to mention getting every hair , menstural issues, and blemish , including tats, taken care of.

I means those suits are tiny. And then there are poses where the untie the top, or the have to do a change on the beach, with 3-4 holding towels. The runway show was ok still skimpy suits but this time with heels.

Do they make all the ladies were the same style of heels, even while traveling?

Fun fact: It wasn't until 2012, when the DCC viewed footage of themselves from a game performance, per Kelli.

From a group that claims when there is a stop in the game action they are on camera, along with the cameras are 100% on them in pregame performance, it took until 2012 to have a session to view their own performance. Per Judy the DCC is constantly being evaluated.Wouldn't film watching be a valuable tool in the evaluation?

I mean the NFL has been watching stuff on film since the 1950s.. I have an 8th grade family member who watches film from the middle school league...it took until 2012, for the DCC that maybe, just maybe, they should watch footage too?

That's what I like most about Melissa Rycroft.  Her filming the girls as they rehearse and letting them SEE what they are doing wrong is the best approach, in my opinion.  Far better than Judi saying "do you know what you did wrong?"

Sorry, but I'm not buying Vivian's Tin Man routine. I think she was writing a storyline for herself. She never planned to do Tin Man. We were supposed to be awed by her Referee dance. The next year, it was the drama of her breakup and her ridiculous poem. She wanted to stand out on the show whether or not she made the team. Major manipulator.

I agree that watching yourself dance is super helpful, but at the same time I understand Judy's critique. Melissa is very rarely pointing out choreography mistakes, she's trying to help the girls see if they're stiff or lacking expression, things that they definitely wouldn't know themselves. When Judy asks someone if they know what they did wrong, it's always a matter of them doing the choreography incorrectly and her expecting them to know what the correct step is, which is a reasonable expectation. She could probably approach the topic more carefully but I still get why she does it.

It just makes me laugh that she says it was a little trick she learned on DWTS. She never heard of filming yourself & watching back before that?

What year was the camcorder invented? What was the name  device did people use to create those reel tape home movies?😁 Even a still camera shot can catch someone's feet or face, doing something wrong.

I don't know what year Kelli started but surely she had access to a camera and something to play back footage long before Melissa's tour with DWTS. I'm not buying that once the season starts, and have learned the 50 dances, they don't have a few minutes to watch film. Are they just that perfect every single performance that no review/post mordem /lesson learned session is needed?

Actually IIRC, MRS filmed Natalie Woods working with Nicole Hamilton on a cellphone in Season 1 of DCC-MTT. (I just can't with her. She's one of the most irritating DCCs to me ~ JMHO).

It's likely that she forgot about that since it was 8 years later, and it may have been something Natalie asked her to do. It may have been on DWTS that they made a big deal of video taping every rehearsal, so that's what stuck in her head.

I like Kelly pickler's advice -" battle it out. If you want to be lead guitar player, show me why".

Kendall did that with Jaycee the season before - and it got her cut. It wasn't a battle per se, it was follow the group leader.😁

On another note -Emily being oblivious to having her feet and hips turned in seems odd to me. Surely Kelli wasn't the first to notice ( 2 separate seasons), if she took dance all her life. I think Kelly pickled noticed too.

I kinda wish Amy from Rockford would have tried out again if she got her kicks up and worked on her memory (how ever that happens). 6 years could have been her number to make the team  unless there is an upper age limit. She made great progress and transformation in the last 3 years. She got into the dancing career late and I think her first couple of tryouts were truly learning and fact finding experiences.

Auto Amy will forever be the most heart wrenching cut for me … not bc the cut itself was drama filled anything…  just because I never wanted it so badly for any other TCC (besides maybe Kaime and Meghan F🙏…can’t help it, I’m old school)  .  Just wanted to see her make it. Especially to see so many others that “barely” made it that were “falling apart” at times near the end as well.

I still can’t watch her cut.  She moved on, cheered for a team that won the NBA Finals among other things but her cut bothered me.
i know, I should move on like she did😏

Same. Even though she never should have made it, I felt actual joy over Loni's reaction when the team was announced.

I DEFINITELY understand why some feel Loni that shouldn’t have made it.  I totally get it (kicks especially, mistakes, Kelli’s pet, etc). But there is a HUGE part of me that will always feel like, dang it, she just deserved it too.  Meaning… the grit and the tenacity and the heart (and showmanship she had going for her) and the fire…. it was all there.  She wanted it, hardCORE, and that showed through. That’s really why I was personally pulling for Loni.  Plus, I love an underdog success story.
Ugh, I digress.
But Amy gave me all those feels.. I felt her heart through that TV screen in the end.  I believe Kaime had that same heart for it the year she was brought back but there wasn’t enough time … (even though she completely crashed and burned in her last tryouts🙄). Same with Mackenzie Lee, I loved her lil heart… she wasn’t giving up!

And none of them had it  in a weird desperate thirsty kinda way like Shelbi and Vivian did.

I can hear Kelli telling me now… “I’m sorry Rita, but we’ve GOT to move on…”, and I’m still over here crying. “Don’t pinch me… cuz I don’t wanna wake up”… and find out the show’s not coming back. 😂

Loved Loni & was glad she made the team based upon her caring & positive attitude.  Love the underdogs plus she never cried & carried on about feedback or did the poor me routine.
loved Auto Amy & was sorry to see her go.  BUT when she tried out for the Warriors, they had all the auditions online. She really shone with this being the team where she & her style of dancing matched. I was so glad she found the right fit & a winning team!

I give Mackenzie props for letting that very, very muscular heavy-handed-upper-body-strength-looking therapist do that treatment to loosen the muscular tissue on her hip so she could kick higher. That therapist scared the sh*t out of me - I would have ran for the parking lot and kissed my 2lb ankle weights .

As many TCC that come in with low kicks, especially on the ends of the line, surprised no one else has done that treatment.

😂😂💀💀 That’s Yvette! 😆 She was a bad ass! Yes, the “do you feel that turning off of the bone” comment could have been perceived as slightly worrisome.😂   Actually I read somewhere years ago that many of the girls used her.  Only with Mackenzie Lee was she ever featured on the show though.  She was (is?) a great bodywork therapist at Advanced Bodywork & Massage (back then anyways). Gentle giant for sure.

…clearly I watch the reruns waaaay too much😜

If they knew what the correct step was, why didn't they do it?  And it's not like any of them are going to admit "no, I have no idea what I did wrong there."  I think it would be helpful for her to be more specific (you need to point your toes, your arms should be straight not bent, etc).  That's what I like about Kitty, too.  She's harsh but at least she gives specific critiques.

This is my main bug-bearer of Kristin's office visit in her first training camp. She says she's been given a mixture of comments and simply asks for clarification. Kelli gets snappy and rude with her for asking one question. Kitty gave her specific critique on the field, which was much more helpful. Like what does more power mean? I'd think more energy behind your movement but they seem to mean something different every time!

But to her defense , don't the players have an oxygen tank on the sidelines? I've seen quite a few shots esp if player goes on a fast quick run - like returning a kick. I am guessing they sanitize the mask. Maybe the DCC need to look into that medical device.
