Loved him practicing in Katrina's office, and Katrina saying "Jessica" to the chair. Loved him writing in his diary, and that Katrina didn't give him shit for it. Loved the scenes with he and Donna, and he and Jessica. I also loved that Donna called out Jessica for her treatment of Louis. Yeah, Jessica you're having sex with Malone, but he doesn't deserve the corner office over Louis, so it was great to see her give it to Louis. Harvey even called him the hardest working lawyer at the firm, and he values the acknowledgement of it. Don't really care about anything else. If the season goes as predictably as it's starting, we will be subjected to Harvey vs. Mike the entire season. With all the law firms and all the investment companies in New York, somehow Pearson Specter will always be involved in a lawsuit with Mike's firm. And it will be like a ping pong match, with Harvey winning, wait, no, Mike's winning. But, OMG, now Harvey's winning. Or is he..... And on and on and on. Can't they just have Harvey and Mike interact as friends at the end of their work day, with each having his own work-related storyline? I hate having to choose between them. Quote I hate having to choose between them. That said, I'm on the Harvey train. They're both so annoying I can't choose. They've regressed to their first season dynamic where each is trying to outdo the other. We saw that already, Show. We've seen Mike and Rachel struggle to keep their personal and professional relationships separate. We've seen the firm be in danger. Come up with some new ideas. I could've sworn Donna made up that whole story until she brought him the photo - just seemed like one of her manipulations, to me, but I'm glad it turned out to be real. I like that relationship. I wish I could like Rachel. I think the actress is beautiful and I don't mind that they use every excuse to shoot her half naked - but I just hate the character. I hate her. When she's on screen, all I can think about is how much I hate her. I don't want to hate her; it takes away enjoyment of the show. But I do. Hate her. So much. There are so many great gems in every episode. In this one, my favorites were: "I eat cock for breakfast, lunch and dinner.", "Say that word, to my face, one more time." And Harvey's "I'm not afraid of you" reaction, Katrina's nod to Jessica-chair and the interaction between Mike and Logan in the bathroom before they knew each other. So what if the show is mediocre overall -- it's those little awesome tidbits that make it a must-watch for me. In all fairness, Jessica's first thought was to give the job to Louis and talked about how great he is with that sort of thing, but after the guy approached them Harvey thought he was the better idea. Louis is at fault for trying to game play and not just asking for it outright...but then of course we wouldn't have the Jeff/Louis conflict, or the Jeff/Jessica issue.. I agree, however, that she should have thought of it before giving him the office. As much as I love the Louis character, I get tired of his insecurities. Some if it used to be funny, now it is tiresome. I would like to see them move forward with the Louis and Donna, but if they not going to make it a romantic connection, I wish they would make it clear that from the Louis perspective it is meant to be friends only. Harvey: "I have no idea, but until I figure it out I'm going to confuse the shit out of anyone I can." I loved it so much I rewound it several times, and I don't do that. That said, I feel like Jessica is not bringing the clothes porn as much as I expect from her. They seem to be trying to make the below-the-knee skirt length happen with both Rachel and Jessica, and me no likey. Rachel looks like she's got a round pregnant belly in some of the stuff she wears, and I KNOW that the actress is a tiny bitty girl, so she should start buying the wardrobe coordinator coffee on the regular, or something. To me it was an indication of how close she and Harvey are. I have close friends of different races, and we can say things like that to each other because we are close, and it has nothing to do with racism. What immediately popped into my head when she said it was "play that funky music." The only thing I really liked was Jessica's black dress, and Rachel's halter that was totally inappropriate for the office. I don't object necessarily to some of the language because it is a show and I don't take it too seriously. I also took the "white boy" as affection. Although I would never say something like that, I think it is in keeping with the personalities and the tone of the show, as well as the relationship as it has been shown. I found whatever Louis said about the "homies" in front of Jeff to be more problematic. I totally did not care about Louis and Jeff's issues or case, and I am already tired of Katrina and Donna needing to be the driving force behind Louis. I am sick of Donna sticking her nose in on Louis' behalf, Donna giving advice and Donna pointing out everyone's flaws. Please give her something to do. I'm still undecided about Mike's boss and his secretary. What did the boss say about Mike not getting the 30 mil? I also see no chemistry with Jeff and Jessica. I think that it was stupid to have Jessica give Jeff the corner office. She is not stupid enough that she did not realize what a corner office would mean to the people already working there. needschocolate June 21, 2014 Share June 21, 2014 I can understand thinking that a guy who was a lawyer with the SEC would merit a corner office, even if he was new, although I don't think his former employment was the reason he got the corner office. However, I do not understand how a corner office sat empty with no one (Louis) trying to find a way to move into it. Mike's new boss's voice sounds so much like Harvey's to me that I find it distracting. Speaking of Mike's new boss...isn't Mike still in trouble with him? As I understood it, the boss was mad at Mike for not taking the 30 million, which Mike turned down because it would have meant the eventual end of the company, which mike had promised to fight against. Funding the pension kept Harvey's client from taking it over, but even if Harvey's client re-offers the 30 million, Mike isn't going to take - it still goes against his promise. But I could be misunderstanding what is going on - the whole case confuses me. I watch this show for the banter. I think it has more to do with the heels they wear than the dresses. High heels change your posture, arching your back, which makes your butt stick out one way and your stomach stick out the other. Continuing storylines can be interesting but when it's the same characters all the time, or at least these characters, it gets old. They need more clients of the week to keep it fresh. Happytobehere June 21, 2014 Share June 21, 2014 So far, I am only one board with the Louis scenes, and of course the Jessica scenes. I couldn't care less about the Harvey/Mike/Rachel/Logan show. I'm already over it and them two episodes in. I would so love a Donna/Louis pairing. I find the Harvey/Jessica banter lovely because it is all about their closeness. The white boy comment wasn't meant racially, it was meant as an affectionate dig. Now Louis and his homies comment strikes of bad taste because he and Jeff are not only not close, they are outright enemies for all intents and purposes. Rachel and Mike is, was, and will always been a painful wreck. I can't see a speck of chemistry between the actors and their "sexy banter" is just cringeworthy. Hell Rachel and Logan had more chemistry in three scenes together than Rachel and Mike have had in three years together. I am coming to accept that I don't care about any of the plots on this show and just watch for Gabriel Macht's dreaminess and the nice fashion on this show (the men's suits are all very nicely tailored and the actors are great-looking).
