Just remember us common folk are still your best friends 😊 I'm with you, but I think it must be part of their contracts to cheer on the contestants. As if constantly saying "go faster!" will help. I thought it was funny when the gantry reminded Tim AGAIN to read the recipe, and he said "I decided to read the recipe again." lol Anushka is a sweet lady, and what she said about learning from the kids, and not just about cooking, was cute, but she was past her prime. Of the 5 that are left, the 2 that I would rather not see in the final are Tim and Larissa.

There are a few Simon haters on reddit as well, for reasons that have nothing to do with his cooking. Yes, the hair police need a target 😊 When they show flashbacks from the beginning, it's obvious that he just hasn't had a haircut in a while. I agree about Larissa. She should get the credit she deserves. However, I can't pretend to be happy for her. I was happy for Simon that George said he would serve that coffee dish in his restaurant.

I'm in the states also,@TVbitch, so when there's an elimination, I make it a practice to avoid this forum and FB until I've seen the episode. Then I am here too. 😊 I am still pissed at Larissa for her crappy attitude during the team challenge. I don't care whose fault it is that they lost, there was nothing "teamy" about her behavior imo. The only satisfaction I have is that she just watched that episode and found out that the judges thought her dessert was crap.

I wanted to smack the crap out of Larissa today! She was downright obnoxious! To announce that she didn't want the team to go into elimination because she is using her pin just blew me away. She had absolutely nothing to lose today, and all she could do was complain how the other dishes kept her from her dessert. Simon screwed up big time, and he owned it, but I really wish the judges had called out her crappy dessert as a factor. They didn't hate the other two dishes. I haven't had strong feelings about her one way or the other, but now I just want her gone.

I thought today's challenges were good, but I felt so bad for the girls having to run up and down those stairs. I also thought the outcome was fair. I thought Nicole made a good point. Tessa was definitely focused on winning, while Nicole, who probably thought she had no chance in hell against Tessa ,focused on making a delicious dish. Good job, Nicole. The team challenge looks interesting. My only hope is that Simon gets to be on the winning team for once.

I was glad she fell flat on her face. It drives me nuts when they don't listen to professional chefs. I'm glad Gary called it. She decided on her dish before knowing what her ingredient was,and just tried to cram the plums into it, a la Ben style. I think she just isn't that great at thinking on her feet, so she couldn't change direction. It would be really great to see her make one dessert that doesn't contain frozen things or things that have to set. This cook was a letdown altogether. There wasn't one dish that the judges raved over. I bet Simon's dish would have been a lot better if he stuck to his original plan. Too bad the time pressure got to him. I really hope Tessa is the winner tomorrow, or tonight, whichever the case may be.

Simon tries to use as much as he can of an item. He obviously forgot that Larissa tried the same thing in an ice cream weeks ago,and there isn't enough flavor in the leaves. Derek apparently forgot also, because he raised no objection. TBH I thought the judging on this was wonky. Gary and Matt both had criticisms of Larissa's dish. Matt said it was too lemony for him, and Gary said there wasn't enough of the crunchy stuff. They didn't have technical issues with Simon & Derek's dish. I personally don't think Simon & Derek should have lost.

Apparently this guy does a recap every week. I'm going to look for older ones. Too funny!

This recap of the pressure test is hysterical! https://medium.com/@benpobjie/masterchef-recap-madame-tatis-last-oli-679c954e267b

I will miss Tati, and it was nice to hear Gary say that they will. I giggled at Gary trying to be George. I loved the way Tati said pressure.

It may just come down to which one is better at following a recipe. I wouldn't rule Tim out, though, He hasn't been all that impressive since he came back unless he's cooking meat,

She did use the bread and the milk, and it was open pantry. She met the brief and put up a delicious dish. I'm happy that she, Simon and Tati had fun with the cook and made it through. I'm glad Ben is finally gone. No Ben in the final this year!

Yes, it would be both, but I really, really don't see this year's Ben making it to the final. I suppose it could happen, but it doesn't seem likely.

I am enjoying this week so far. It's nice to see more than one cook where there is no fear of going into elimination. Everyone is so much more relaxed and, in some cases, more creative. I admire Larissa's guts for sticking to her guns, but since her goal was to get into the immunity challenge, and the guy who was choosing the winner told her to do savory, it really was just a protest dish. I'm glad Tessa won. It's really kind of disappointing this season that so many of the top 10 aren't all that great with plating.

I think it's good to remember that Ben's entry into the top 10 was mainly luck of the draw. I really don't think he will get much farther. At least we haven't seen any blatant manipulation (so far) like they used last year to get that Ben into the final. IMO they really ended up with egg on their faces at the end.
