In no world does Kyler deserve Lexi. They are polar opposites, right? I mean, one works 40+ hours a week, takes care of the rugrat with minimal parental help, and isn’t halo bad looking. The other one is Kyler.

This punk isn’t very intelegent, has zero respect for her, and treats her like crap. He needs to find an outlet for his bad attitude. I HIGHLY recommend the gym! Seriously, that body is screaming for a personal trainer and a haircut!!!

Amen to this.  Kyler thinks he is just going to move out on his own as soon as possible and everything will be perfect cause he will be the MAN in charge and nobody will tell him what to do.  Reality owes this punk a swift kick in the ass.  When Lexi finally comes to her senses she will kick him to the curb. e has nothing to offer physically, emotionally or financially.  This idiot cant even add up if he has enough credits to graduate high school. ..how do you think he will do paying rent and creating a budget. You just know that he still relies on his family to pay for his phone, food, rent, car.  He has no clue.  He has to go back to school for 1 class but makes it Lexi's problem to find new childcare while she is working a full time job. When he wakes up to the reality that women are not throwing themselves at his sloth like body and attitude i am pretty sure he will become the "clingy one". (my apologies to all the adorable sloths...its just an expression)

Jade/Sean: Same old but baby Kloie is just adorable. Outpatient seems like a bad plan for Sean. He’ll be all into it at first and Jade will be screwed again soon when he’s out with the fellas and uses again.

Brianna is looking unwashed. Poor thing has to work so much that it’s tough managing her social life. And get this: on her day off she can’t relax because she has to be up because she has a kid! Imagine that. My prediction is Brianna will meet someone new within a few hours of hanging up with dumping Robert. She’s such a cold bitch. Kind of Kail-ish but not nearly as bad. A pouty, whiny thing for whom people are disposable.

Kayla is still neglecting Izaiah’s hair. She’s also all about jumping into a new relationship and will surely expect her mother to watch the Izaiah while she’s off hanging out. Luke needs to run the other way. Why the hell does he need all this drama at such a young age? What does Stephan care about Kayla? He’s disgusted with her. He’s a cheating asshole. He didn’t want to provide the little family she wanted so fuck you. You can’t stop her from living her life but you act like a two year old and block her, show up at the guy’s house and be all tough guy when you’re the cause of this. Oh, and Stephan, you’re not exactly being his father either: no child support, turning down times to see him. So get lost.

Boring Lexi going for the “Look at me and how great I am” by saying, “I can’t ask you to watch him,” when mom offered. I can appreciate that to a degree but she takes the righteousness a bit too far. You don’t have to deprive yourself of a treat now and again.

Ashley: as a Judge Judy watcher, it was wonderful to see Ashley and her friend cleaning and scrubbing the apartment she is reluctantly moving out of. So many people leave a disgusting pigsty in the JJ world. It’s nice to see. Bar threw flour and water in the oven and set it on fire? What? Ashley needs to stay at mom’s for a while.

HI guys! Here I am, with my weekly "WTF Kyler?" post! Who is this idiot? Being too stupid to finish high school and not having even the modest ability to determine what it takes to do so is nothing to be proud of. What goes through that lump of Swiss cheese that resides in his skull where his brain should be? Jesus, at least Chelsea's Adam was cute when they were in high school. Kyler, not so much. I cannot find one redeeming quality. Not one. He's not actively cruel but he's passively so. If not cruel, then very selfish and unkind. And I agree, the minute Lexi gave him a taste of his own medicine he'd be running to her side. Sadly, Lexi's standards and expectations are so low that she'd be beside herself with joy when Kyler showed up at her doorstep with a bunch of dandelions he picked from the side of the road, mumbling "for you".  Gah. He's terrible. He'll be that guy who goes to the high school parking lot five years after he graduates to show off his car.

Stephan. Stephan Stephan Stephan. Who didn't predict he'd show up at the party and make a scene?

I don't really mind Kayla finding a new guy. She and Stephan have been done for a year. Luke seems like a nice guy. Maybe she realizes she doesn't have to settle for ugly mean violent Stephan.

I'm certainly no fan, but he does physically take care of the kid.  True, it doesn't seem like he has anything else to do, but that's not necessarily an impediment for a lot of the teen dads.  That's the one, and only, redeeming quality I can find in that schlub.

I'm pretty ignorant about social media, but I was impressed when he said he'd blocked her because he was choosing not to know what's going on with her, and not very many people seem to have the willpower to do that.  But then he fucked it up and apparently found out what she was doing after all and worse, acted on it.  But I had a glimmer of hope for a second there that he was doing something mature.

And I'm equally ignorant about the world of fingernails, but it grates when Jade complains how broke she is, while brandishing those nails.  I'm sure "it's only a few dollars" and "she deserves a treat" and all that, but still.  But then I'm not too impressed with many of the financial decisions we've seen her make, starting with "lending" her mother money all the time.  Or Sean's "rehab," another area I'm (blessedly) ignorant about--paying $17 for a "meeting"?  When she said she was paying for rehab, I was picturing the ones that cost $10,000 a month.  So I'm glad it's not that, because she clearly doesn't have it, but I'm not confident the $17 for a meeting will be money well spent.

I wonder if Sean is going to the methadone clinic. Many of them have in-house counseling -- some of it's really good and some of it isn't. It depends on location as far as what's offered, the costs, if insurance covers it, etc.  $17 a day sounds about right for methadone. Most of the time methadone is a daily, in-house treatment, taken in front of a nurse. Once the patient proves they're responsible (clean drug screens are the main thing, but maybe working the program, etc), they can take home weekend doses, then work up to taking home maybe three days, then 1 week, then 2 weeks worth, even up to a month. Again, it really depends on the state (though I think there are some fed guidelines).

Methadone can be a godsend or it can be a shitty substitute. It really depends on so many factors.

The way they're describing things, it really sounds like that's what he's doing.  If he can get clean and get his shit together (and he and Jade can learn to communicate rather than argue), more power to them.

It sounded like they said the $17 was for a "meeting."  Is that what you heard?  (My current TV doesn't have captions.)  Maybe a euphemism for the TV cameras??  I assumed they were charging for AA or maybe AA-type meetings at the facility.

I thought it was sad watching the wheels in Lexi's head spin as she contemplated her friend's life at a 4-year college vs. her life now with Tobias. It seemed that was a moment where it was really hitting her about how her life trajectory was going to change now that she's such a young mom. I hope she finds a way to get into a career where she can make decent money and eventually find a much better guy than Kyler.

The meetings he's being charged for were with an individual counselor and, once a week, with a group counselor. I assume they'd also recommend or at least point out where to find NA meetings (and maybe 12-step alternative meetings). AA & NA make a  point of being independent of any paid facilities (although will sometimes hold meetings there) and don't charge for meetings, although members who want to and can afford it chip in to cover expenses (rent, coffee, insurance if the meeting place requires it, etc.).

I am no fan of Kyler but he did go out and get a full time job the first season.  Sounds like he doesn't have it anymore though.

Interesting theory about methadone. Don't they usually have patients come in for their dose super early, like 7 AM or earlier?

I hope Sean sticks to treatment. Jade is about to crack from all the pressure. I can't think of another time when I've thought, "Thank goodness she has some MTV money coming in." But that's definitely where I am with Jade. She's taking care of too many people on what has to be crummy restaurant pay.

I shudder to think of how her mother will really latch on when the MTV checks start coming in. She'll hound Jade for more money for better drugs.

Honestly as things all shake out he is the best of the bunch (of baby dads.) Not physically abusive, no drug issues that we know of. And he's there. Yes he's mean but compared to what the other moms have experienced between their own parents and their baby dads, Lexi is kind of a babe in the woods.

It’s really freaking sad that the best thing we can say about him is that he’s not as big of a giagangic asshole as the abusive, drug-addicted, pieces of shit that the other baby-daddies are.

But you’re not at all wrong.

Did anyone catch in the previews for next week, Briana is telling her mom about something that happened and she says "They told me i don't have a job and walked me to the door." That sounds an awful lot like she got fired.

It could also be that she got laid off.

I heard Briana and it could be that she got laid off, but it sounded more alarming than that. Then again, they could be gas-lighting us as usual. I'm still not seeing the benefits of this move.,

(I may have misunderstood about the meetings, so the methadone idea may be totally off base, but--) Yes, methadone clinics typically dose early (say 5am to 9am). On weekends and holidays they may only stay open for an hour or so (but they try to give as many clients as possible a take home dose). (I'm familiar with how the 2 in my area work, but I can't speak for all the them.)

Sometimes this show makes me sad. There's just so much dysfunction and helplessness. When Kyler the Lump is goals, well that's a bit frightening, lol.

I can't help but root for these people, though.  The babies deserve a chance so that they don't perpetuate another cycle of this mess.

Agreed about Jade's mom -- she's a damn vulture.

The exact comment from Brianna complete with puss face and attitude hair flip: "They were like, 'You don't have a job, we don't want to continue working with you.' And then they walked me out."

A layoff is typically something that a business does not want to do but has to out of necessity (not enough work for everyone, money's tight, etc.). Brianna's comments sound nothing like a layoff. My money is on her getting into it with a customer.

This right here definitely means her little ass got fired.  You may not collect your things, do not pass go, we will empty your locker and mail the contents. Thank you and good day.

I played it back and started thinking that maybe they are messing with us and Brianna was just repeating to her mother a conversation she had with a co-worker who was caught stealing or something and let go. She had a pissed look though so it's hard to believe it didn't happen to her.

Well if they said they don't want to continue working with her, then that definitely sounds like firing.  That wasn't in the post I responded to when I said she might have been laid off.  I seem to recall that people who were subject to surprise mass layoffs, like during the mortgage meltdown or Enron, were given no notice and escorted off the premises.

But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if they were just messing with us.  What does Brianna do, anyway?  At one point she had a uniform on that looked like a hotel maid's to me.

I remember her going to a restaurant to interview but they never said if she got the job. She was wearing a name tag that said Cheyenne a couple of episodes ago and I think @Pepper Mostly said that it's common if you work as a server and forget your name tag to just grab any one and use that. I don't think they ever said what kind of work she was doing.
