teddysmom April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 Here you go kids. The "program" Mika is using to relieve herself of her stressful life. It's more of the poor me, "I raised 2 kids, got a divorce, and get up before the sun comes up" . Also started KYV, which no one asked her to do, wrote "several books" don't recall any public clamoring for those, and got married. Mika has reset herself. I recommend having anti nausea medication in the house before proceeding. https://www.nbcnews.com/know-your-value/feature/stress-anxiety-mika-s-massive-reset-ncna999746 3 Link to comment

I don't know which is more infuriating, the banality or the utter lack of self-awareness. Does she really want to hold herself up as the paragon of single parenthood and stress and exhaustion? Let me know when she can share what it's like being a true single mom of a special needs child, working 12 hour night shifts in intensive care and then coming home to take care of your baby, managing all her medical appointments during the day and going back to work on maybe 2 hours sleep, because your dad wasn't the national security adviser and you didn't grow up with a silver spoon in your mouth. 1 Link to comment

The Gold Dust Twins pop up to interject an opinion or rant (Joe's case) or mutter in the background in order to appear engaged (Meeka's case). Or they both use the opportunity to push their pet projects. Willie sits at the desk and manages everything and does most of the interviews and questioning. And he appears to do his homework and research on guests and topics. He is undervalued and underappreciated. 5 Link to comment

Why isn't she seeing a licensed therapist if she's having so many problems controlling her emotions? Just when I think I can't resent her more...this kind of stuff comes out. Also the mothers. " I did it to live near my mother and take care of her. And he did the same to move his mother close to us before she passed away last month. I did it to clear out all the extra people and material stuff in my life. And I did it to live in a small home with no distractions around me. I did it to have a quiet place to rest and recover and work on myself and my family." Except a tv studio in my basement, flying back and forth from FL to NY every other week, running my shaminar, writing my "books", photo shoots, etc. What exactly happened that she needed to "rest and recover". The stress of her life was brought on by her decisions. No one made her take the Morning Joe gig where she had to get up at 3 am, she could have quit any time, or cheat on her husband, or run around the country with her boss/boyfriend. How about some self reflection that you're your own worst enemy, Mika. You made several good points. I thought that Joe had moved his mom from Florida to Connecticut few years ago. Joe's brother lives in Pensacola. It seems that Joe moved his mom back to Florida to be closer to Mika's mom. Joe's daughter got accepted to boarding school outside Connecticut & the youngest Jack appears to be living in Florida. & playing baseball. It's possible that Joe's ex wife Susan moved back to Florida. I think she used to work for Jeb Bush when she married Joe , so she might still have family in Florida. I believe that Mika & Joe's accountants advised them of the tax advantages of moving to Florida. Joe rarely visits the NY or Washington Studio unless he has to rehearse for his band. Mika shows up in the NY & Washington Studio more often for the KYV activities. 1 1 1 Link to comment

Not only is this anti-brand for Ms. KYV, but it’s also a reminder how, like they did with Trump, Mika & Joe champion the powerful men and degrade the women (see Clinton, Hillary). Oakville can speak more knowledgeably to this, but Mika and Joe have been highly successful at seeding “their people” on MSNBC (except prime time) and are fairly powerful there. Mark Halperin is seeking a comeback. His accusers have a problem with that. Quote Just 18 months after his career as a political pundit and TV commentator imploded amid sexual harassment and assault allegations, Mark Halperin is trying to mount a comeback. He’s getting help from media personalities including MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinksi. The Daily Beast reported Thursday that Scarborough and Brzezinski — co-hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program — discussed plans to collaborate with Halperin on an online-only program analyzing the 2018 midterms (the program never came to fruition). Before his firing by NBC News, Halperin was a regular panelist on “Morning Joe.” Brzezinski, in particular, has been publicly supportive of Halperin. At one point in late 2017, she said on “Morning Joe” that Halperin’s accusers owed him the opportunity to apologize in a face-to-face meeting. Her comments drew a scathing rebuke from some of his accusers. Brzezinski apologized on air. The commenters aren't any more supportive than the Twitterverse: Quote Mika most definitely is NOT an advocate for women, other than extremely privileged women exactly like her. And why watch "Morning Joe" at all? Mika is pathetic, not very bright and so thoroughly in thrall in every respect to the POV of powerful men -- including hubby Joe and predators like Halperin -- that she lacks any credibility; likewise, Joe, besides being as much of a dolt as Mika, has always lacked both integrity and credibility on a whole host of grounds; and a disproportionate number of their standing panelists and guests have long track records of open misogyny, dating back at least to their open knives treatment of Hillary in her 2008 primary campaign. I think we're gonna find out if Joe and Mika wield as much power within the network as they think they do. 2 Link to comment

Kemper May 5, 2019 Share May 5, 2019 I don't know if anyone is familiar with Celia Rivenbark, the author. She was a "lifestyle" columnist for the Wilmington, NC paper back in the day. She wrote some really funny books on all things Southern and is a true Woman of the South. She pulls no punches. A political, sharp-tongued Erma Bombeck who can do wonderful, catty put downs. She has been "woke" politically. By using "woke" I am trying to mask my age. She has graduated to writing a humorous weekly political/editorial column in various papers, including the Raleigh, NC one. Today she had a column about trying to make everyone, of all political persuasions, come together. She mentioned Meeka's name several times in what I at first thought was a "heads-up" you-go-girl kind of way. But then I realized she was poking fun at Meeka's KYV schtick. At least that is what I think she was doing. Has anyone else seen it? 2 1 Link to comment
