It's baffling to me how Jack can write off Billy, his brother, FFS and just let Phyllis off scot free.

It's nuts and could be explained as coming from Jack's complete denial about his rage towards Phyllis. Phyllis's bizarre speech to Jack the other day that he should resent her for being fooled by Marco while he was fighting to get back to her hinted at this (i.e. his denial) because the fact is as misplaced as it would be, Jack's anger with Phyllis would be understandable. She didn't even MISS him. Not saying she wasn't victimized but that ought to have fucked with his head and without an outlet (he knows it's not her fault so he can't express his anger -- it wouldn't be fair) he would swallow the rage.

But it's Pratt, so that won't be it. It's just a plot point to focus all rage on poor spiralling Billy. So we can set things up for the recast.

I remember that Phyliss got some kind of counseling/therapy when she got back from ComaLand.  It was off screen, not mentioned much and probably just tossed into the plot to appease the millions of Preverts/viewers who were going batshit over her just waltzing back into her old life unaffected. There is no way I'm buying that Jack and Phyl have kept these seckrets about the horrific experience(s) they went thru without seeking some kind of counseling/therapy just because they were afraid people would talk or to save Turd's ass (because he is blackmailing Jack which is totally stupid- la la la la la,-fingers in ears- not even listening to that shit).  Therapy/counseling is private and certainly necessary in this case.*  If not getting some kind of therapy/resolution was going to lead to some outrageous behavior on Jack's part, I could buy into it--maybe.  Then Turd would be only mostly to blame for whatever devastating thing hits JaaBow.

And another piss-point of mine:  How many times is Jack going to be the Scrooge for the "had to fire long term employees"/ArtsDa?  Fire Shabby and all the other nepotistic assholes they have working.  Their salaries alone would save the long term real employees.

*Pratthole knows nothing about it, I know, I know.

  • Love 12

I know! I was so happy to finally see Jill again and she spent the whole episode begging Victoria to forgive Billy yet again. Sad.

This whole Marissa/Luca/Noah story line is boring me to tears. I wish they would write off Marissa and Luca. Annoying the both of them. And I hate how Marissa can't seem to make up her mind and keeps jumping into bed with the both of them.

At least we see Tracy tomorrow!

  • Love 6

Yay, there was more Adam/Sharon interaction today!!! *bounces*

It's funny because I was never much of a fan when they were together but now I desperately want them to hook up because they're the only couple who I think would pop. Everyone else is dull these days.

Also, yay for Tracy! It was so nice having her back. She always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

  • Love 3

did everyone make it thru the yesterday ok?

my house was full of love and joy..

then, this morning i read the recap of yesterday's cdn eppy?  :(

dick and faith are moving into adam's ph with herb.

dr. evil and sharon are having a talk on the patio at cl and sharon tells her dick and herb are happy together.

dr evil tells dick that she has seen what losing a baby is like and she hopes herb isn't her next patient. she says that herb is trying to be who nick wants her to be and she should stay away from sully....

heh heh heh, do what you gotta do dr. evil, i won't slam you for it.

well, unless you hurt sharon that is.

  • Love 4

How could Sharon NOT be hurt? She's raising another woman's baby unbeknownst to her. How do Sharon and Dylan - not that I give a flying fuck about him - not get their hearts ripped out? For this viewer, the only upside that could come out of it would be for the evil Dr. A eventually killing Sage, Adam realizing that the baby the MacAvoys are raising is his, and either deciding for the sake of his marriage to Chelsea to keep quiet about it and not break Sharon's heart (not my first choice); OR, spilling the tea about Dr. A and Baby Sully, it causing Duhlan to go into a permanent PTSD bender, resulting in his permanent and offscreen institutionalization, with Sharon and Adam reuniting, leaving Dickolas to go pound sand - or Chelsea so that JM gets his wish. That would be my Happily Ever After.

  • Love 11

yeah tms, i know sharon is in for a world of hurt and when that happens i will be angry at dr. evil, but for NOW, i want her to undermine sick as much as possible.

then, when the kid is returned to sick and they are rejoicing and sharon's heart is broken is when it will come out that adam is the baby daddy and not dick..

oh, and chuckles, sick sux.

  • Love 3

I'm rather enjoying the fact that there is now some Adam/Noah interaction happening onscreen. Considering Adam was once his stepfather, I was waiting for Pratt and Show to remember this.

Basically, anything that moves Adam into the Noah/Sharon orbit and away from Sage and Chelsea is aces in my book.

  • Love 11

i was just reading some spoilers and it says that chelsea designed abby's wedding dress so she is wearing a chelsea lawson original.  i saw a pic of it, and, IN MY OPINION, it is hideous altho others have commented that they like the style it is.

it looks like a mini dress with a tulle skirt which is long.  i guess you call them convertible dresses or something.  i find them as hideous as the mullet dresses or as some call them high lows or something like that.

  • Love 5

I was surprised the writers remembered or knew the history during the Abby talking about Stitch's ex scene to bring up Chelsea met her when she and Billy went to Australia. I had forgotten until she brought it up.

If Nick cares so little about building back the company that made him a millionaire, then hopefully he gets nothing from new Newman's profits.

Victor warning Sage off Nick and Adam at the same time was great.

  • Love 3

Nick Newman used the word "scenario" and I could believe that a. He could say a word with that many syllables and b. That he could use it correctly in a sentence.

Ashley: I love ED. She looks fantastic in that blue dress and I love the bangs. That blue eyeshadow, OTOH, is atrocious. No bueno.

Dr. Tad Martin. Even MEK isn't enough to get me to watch this show for more than 1/2 an episode every few weeks. I'm watching more these days only because I'm on holiday but it's such garbage.

Ashley's reaction to Stench & Abby's shitty wedding.

She wanted to drop dead from boredom.

That's the reaction she should have had when she sunk her hands into the Pillsbury Dough Boy the first time.

The minister looks like he could be Kyle's real Gnome father.   Was Diane overly fond of ceramic figurines and we just ignored it?

  • Love 3

Summer being so involved/happy with Abby's preparing seemed bizarre since the cheating. Are we supposed to forget Abby's affair with Austin? And Vicky who was treating Abby like crap for months and was just involved with and lived with the groom is maid of honor?

Was Kyle even there?

Right? Summer gushing about princess Abby was fucking ridiculous. And why was Chelsea there during the private family moment?

Kyle actually had a very close relationship with Abby over the years, but show didn't bother to have him at his cousin's wedding. Not that I need to see Summer's boyfriend but come on.

  • Love 2

mm, technically chelz is family (gasp gasp heave) cause she is married to adam, abby's other halfsie.

Right. I suppose she's technically family. And Nikki was there which was weird as well. But it was so jarring to me to have Chelsea there and Summer -- the girl whose huzzband Abby fucked -- at the same time as the very touching moments with Traci and Ashley and REAL history (Colleen and John) mentioned. Pratt doesn't understand the beats. That was a nice Abbott moment that should have been ONLY Ashley, Traci and Abby. And since I get Victoria the sister being present, at least let her have a chat with Abby about the absurdity of the situation (i.e. the shared Stitch). And if the show put any thought into anything I'd have bought Kyle as her best guy or whatever they call it now when you have someone of the different sex as your "maid of honour".  I cannot imagine asking my sister who used to date my fiancee standing up for me at my wedding.

  • Love 2

Chelsea and Abby did get close recently during the family battles, plus Chelsea is Abby's sister-in-law and she did design the dress so I get her being there to put her in it and make sure it's perfect. More so than Summer in the room with Abby.

I would have taken Chelsea, Kyle, Ashley, anyone but Vicky as maid of honor and Summer shouldn't have been in the room at all. She should have been sitting at the back with Mariah.

  • Love 2

What a stupid episode. Wish I'd skipped it. Abby and that dough man get a big wedding??? WTF? Their relationship was and is dull and they are poorly drawn characters but we had to sit through their vows about their BIG love. ugh.

Jack and Phyllis's contrived angst is so silly I don't know how the actors are doing it. I cannot see ONE reason why they would be in conflict over the undisputed FACT that Billy is an idiot. Billy, JACK'S brother, not Phyllis's child. Phyllis sounds like she's seriously wanting to fuck Billy. There is no other reason she should give a crap. And her constantly throwing in his face the fact that she helped Jack with kicking his pills is extremely offensive.

Pratt has it ass backwards. Phack has almost twenty years of real time history. That doesn't get shattered with something as meh as Jack's brother behaving as he normally does. But we're supposed to see a big RIFT with these two so that Phyllis can bang Patrick Drake down the line and make PB cry for his Emmy. Meanwhile, two newbie nobodies who fell in love in three seconds are given a two-episode wedding.

They couldn't pay Tracey Bregman for this episode? Michael stays to midnight but she goes home? ugh. But Luca and his white dinner jacket and Marisa and her stilettos are there.

WARNING: Victor called Nikki "my baby" (which always makes me gag).

I like Michael E Knight. Dr. Neville is kind of creepy but it's working for me. The story is stupid. He will CURE Ashley's brain tumour. sigh. Whatever. This show is so far past Passions-level reality what the fuck does it matter.

Stench & Scabby try so hard to be "sexy" but they are puke in my mouth REPULSIVE.

Vomity vomit. No chemistry whatsoever. And look at those CLAWS on Stench. Ouch!

LMAO. Nikki enjoyed that way too much.

How many in Neil's Harem.... Gwen, Hilary, Nikki.

v9j1vr.gif

Chucker Fucker probably thinks it's so clever and ironic that another Newman ran over an Abbott.

Noah didn't feel a thing! Oops! Billy is now Roadkill like Delia. Hardy Har Har!

Billy 6.0 gets hit by a car and needs plastic surgery to look like Billy 7.0. Gee, where have we seen that before? Oh, right. General Hospital. Jake Doe. Pratthole's lazy ass continues to rip-off their stories.

Phyllis is getting on my last nerve with her coddling Billy. He is a grown ass man who made some poor choices. She knows he lost a high stakes bet and what does she do? NOTHING. She is not helping him better himself. Instead she is pacifying him and making things worse. Jack was right to not give him the money. He was also  right to tell Victoria that he was still gambling. Her trying to use the pills as some guilt trip doesn't work with me and I am glad to see it doesn't work with Jack either. There is a difference.

Yes. I'm glad he shut her down. She just sounds like a complete idiot.

These writers can't come up with believable angst for Phack so they write this shit? Phyllis spent months sleeping with Jack's doppelgänger FFS. How is that not an issue in their marriage? She would be horrified and weirded out at the idea of sex with Jack because she couldn't tell the difference. He would be angry she didn't notice a difference and was having a good time while he was being tortured. And the two of them stop having sex as a result and are feeling distant and angry and confused and fucked up. They are both carrying enormous trauma as a secret. There are a million easy ways to create a serious rift between these two. You don't have to turn Phyllis into a MORON, Pratt, because of Billy.

But I knew this was never about Phyllis or Phack. It was always about Jason Thompson coming on board and providing him story.

  • Love 12

I don't even get Phyllis right now. Does she want Billy? Sometimes I think she does and then sometimes I think she sees him as someone she can save. A little brother as she said. Who knows. I just know I am tired of her crap. Jack is not wrong to give him hell. He needs tough love. He is not abandoning brother. I am also growing tired of EVERYONE telling Victoria that she needs to save Billy. What is that shit? No she needs to worry about their children. The end. Billy can save his damn self.

  • Love 5

I don't get the point of running over Billy with the car, his face is still in tack and is fine in the previews for tomorrow. So he doesn't need a new face yet. Noah clearly had know idea Billy was behind him and was going like 0.1 MPH since he was just reversing the car in the garage. Seems like the only reason to have Noah hit him was for Marissa to see it and probably cover for Noah.

Abby and Stitch ditching the wedding, the cake and their family like that kind of annoyed me. I get it if they did it after everything but not before, especially with all the work and money Abby's parents put into it. With little Faith waiting for cake.

Phyllis is ridiculous, getting mad at Jack because he told Vicky that Billy is gambling again. Billy IS gambling again and is getting beat up for it at that exact moment. Vicky has innocent kids at home and deserves to know what is going on. Enabling Billy isn't going to make him better and Phyllis seems to just want to be his enabler.

LOL at Nick telling Victor he moved into the towers with Sage and he could visit both his sons in one visit. I think he's only still going to visit Adam there Nick. lol

I don't get her either. It's actually unwatchable because it makes me so angry. Phyllis KNOWS Jack was chained and tortured for months. She knows he was drugged and had alcohol poured down his throat (the man is an ADDICT FFS). She knows he was shot in the chest at point blank range and spent a month in a coma. She knows he's tortured still by the guilt of killing Kelly and causing others to die. She knows he has received not one IOTA of justice for all of the crimes committed against him (unlike Billy). And she knows her stupid plot with Billy has crippled Jack's company and put him in serious personal financial jeopardy. But she has sympathy and concern only for Billy's pain and is attacking Jack -- who is actually supporting Billy -- for not helping his OWN brother. It's so utterly stupid I cannot believe anyone penned this shit.

As for this crap that Victoria can only save Billy??? That is really really really offensive. Doesn't anyone remember she was kidnapped because of his fucking gambling debts? So some girl out there who watches thinks it's her job to save her bad boy guy from his self-destructive behaviours no matter the danger it puts her in or her children in because that's true love? Fuck off, show.

And then Jill will arrive to blame Jack and Victoria. aaaaargh. There is nothing, NOTHING, that is watchable on this show right now. I can't even watch my beloved PB because he's stuck in this fucking garbage.

A television show is not supposed to piss off the viewers like this, Pratt.

yes, jill is going to go all momma bear on vikki and jack for not enabling her stupid son who put himself in the hospital..

maybe if you had of taken your head out of your precious pretend son cane's butt you could have been there for your real son and helped him deal with his addictions instead of handing him off to everyone else to care for...

i haven't liked jill for a very long time and this s/l isn't helping at all.

so, my words to jill, STFU.

  • Love 9

Jill needs to have a seat and look in the mirror. She only ever shows her face when drama is around. The aftermath. Never really around for the heart of the drama. She has no right to judge any of these people. Victoria and Jack are the main ones who deal with Billy and his many demons. They love him but they also refuse to enable him. How is that a bad thing? And Phyllis getting in their face about it too is a joke. I know she feels bad for Billy but this does not help him fix his life. She wants to reward his bad behavior. Why? I am still lost with her logic.

I am sure the actors will knock it out the park though. I want them all to call each other out on the bullshit. I mean why not? Don't hold back now.

I agree, Valley. Jill and her Ashby love have bored me for some time. But NO ONE is responsible for grown ass Billy but Billy.

I watched yesterday's episode and enjoyed it. I think it had to do with seeing Traci and having people mention Colleen and John.

Was there a new Canadian today? Because if there was, my PVR decided to go on strike again.

Mine does that sometimes and I figured that the guide has it listed as "Young and the Restless" some days and others as "The Young and the Restless".  not sure why, but since i figured it out, it hasn't skipped recording any episodes.  Whether that's good or bad - the jury is still out ;)

spinxella quote

LMAO. Nikki enjoyed that way too much.

Considering who she's going home with, I can understand that part, but what the fuck? I take full responsibility that I miss so many of the details by not watching, but what the fuck?  This is how you greet your drinking buddy?  I've been doing it all wrong-I just usually accompany them to the nearest bar and knock a few back.  I can understand why Drinkki would prefer those fine lips of Kneel's over kissing her husband/corpse's, but the wink tells me something else is afoot (involving the 'shocked' Hilary).  Is this a story I even want to know about?

miamama quote

But I knew this was never about Phyllis or Phack. It was always about Jason Thompson coming on board and providing him story.

But Billy already has/had a story!  Pratt could have played out this hit-and-run-he'll-need-surgery-to-cover-the-new-face character change by just letting Billy be Billy and get hit.  Who needs the build-up of angst for Phyliss?  Jack, Jill and Victoria should be able to cover the guilt trip that will inevitably ensue.

artsda quote

Abby and Stitch ditching the wedding, the cake and their family like that kind of annoyed me.

There's no excuse for that.  If you have a big wedding you do all the stuff.  Throw the damn bouquet/garter, smear the cake in each others faces, dance with the ninety year old aunt.  That's the point of a traditional big wedding-traditions!  If they wanted to just go get it on (I can't say 'fuck' because that picture has permanently destroyed my sexual mind set) they should have dropped in at the GCAC and said:  Hey, we just got married.  Now we're going upstairs for a bone party.  See ya!

miamama quote

A television show is not supposed to piss off the viewers like this, Pratt.

Can we get an Amen!

  • Love 10

Somebody? Anybody?

Hospital hallway carry-ons? Jack getting jut-chinned and righteous? Victor justifying his obnoxious presence? Jill doing a low-level blaze? NearlydoneBilly flatlining with no "Code Anything" being called? The Tropical Honeymoon Set yet again? Abby and Doughy postcoital and fruit-eating? Marissa playing dumb for reasons too stupid to mention?

None of those do it for you? Good, then I wasn't alone. You know how I fear lonely opinions...

OTOH, and fishing in a very shallow pool: Phyllis finally getting some snark on. [brace yourselves, if you're there] Pauly in a quite nice charcoal-grey cashmere V-neck that went very well with the saddle-tan holster shoulder-straps--oh, come on, you know I'm gonna notice things like that. Nikki had a really nice largish scarf! Dr MEK to the rescue! And being ejected from the Mayo Clinic/Genoa City General by Dr Barton Fink, who appears to have emerged from the supply closet. Kevin not lying.

I can't go on. I'm bored even trying to replay these scenes in my head...

  • Love 9

Phyllis needed to be slapped by Victoria or Jack. I loved Vicky coming to Jack's defense, while Phyllis was ranting that Billy being beaten up by bookies is ALL Jack and Victoria's fault. Phyllis was just an appalling enabler blaming others for Billy's choices of betting to get money. Vicky was right to tell her off and that the only person responsible for Billy's situation is Billy.

I was actually disappointed Victor didn't come earlier so he could have told Phyllis off.

  • Love 6

I watched the episode with my mom and her boyfriend, and they were both cheering Victoria on when she was telling Phyllis that Billy is responsible for what happened to him.

I found it so odd how Phyllis was going on and on blaming Jack and Victoria and enabling Billy. Seriously, wtf, lady?

And I don't know why Marissa said Billy wasn't beaten up but run over. She wasn't there for the beating, but I don't Noah backing up half an inch and squishing Billy between his tire and a parking block would have caused that much trauma for her to believe Billy's injuries were solely Noah's fault.

Ashley continues to annoy me. Just tell everyone you're sick and be done with it. And her not wanting to ruin Abby's honeymoon by lying was stupid. Yes, you want them to have fun and frolic, but if Billy drops dead, Abby will be pissed and hurt. Abby's a big girl and can make her own decisions. Tell Abby the truth and let her decide if she wants to come home or stay, sheesh.

So much stupidity for nothing.

  • Love 5

Ashley's dumb secret sickness storyline is a retread of the dumb Michael secret sickness storyline that recently petered off into nowhere.

Oh look. A Newman hit an Abbott with a car. That's fresh.

Honestly, Pratt, at least wait a full year or two before you regurgitate failed plots. Can't you even be a hack right?

  • Love 11

I get Jill is scared and hurting over Billy, but she should have been slapped today. After her ranting and raving about how everyone put poor Billy in the hospital room. Blaming Victoria for abandoning him when he was grieving for Deila, her leaving him and divorcing him. Jill had the audacity to say Victoria didn't stand by her vows? Forgetting and ignoring the fact that Vicky filed for divorce because St.Billy cheated and broke those vows. Attacking Tracy for not being around and having the nerve to not live in Genoa City, blaming Jack for hiding Adam being back in town, using Nikki's drinking against her.

Jill was just so far out of line and the Billy worship was eye rolling. Good for Nikki for stepping up and saying Billy's in the hospital room because he owed a bookie a lot of money he couldn't pay, but of course that's all Jack's fault according to Phyllis because Jack didn't give him gambling money.

  • Love 11

While I agree Jill was out of line, she also spoke many truths.  Drinki has stood by Pricktor's side each and every time he has attacked Billy.  As has Vicky of late.  No father of mine would ever speak to my husband the way Pricktor does to Billy, not to mention drugging, raping and imprisonment.  Sheesh.

And Jack did protect Adam even though he said he was protecting Billy.

But, Billy is accountable for his own actions and stupid bad choices.

I don't get why the bad guys suggested that Billy's face was messed up and then it wasn't.  Was this some sort of joke on the viewers who thought that this was how they would intro JT into the role?

The idea that Noah thinks he is a criminal because he put his car in reverse and then drove away, thus accidentally backing over Billy, is ridiculous.
