S03. E12. As Night Comes and I'm Breathing 2018.07.11

Will someone please fire that cabbage-headed oaf of a doctor wannabe Avila?  I am so tired of his redemption arc.  Where did he get the time to learn any medicine, especially surgical stuff, when he was walking around filming people all the time?  I'm glad his "documentary" got slammed by the board.

So last week Willis says there's a neurosurgeon in San Diego, so they fly Rox down there.  This week, the neurosurgeon supposedly had to fly halfway across the country, at least according to Ghost Dog soldier.  And does anyone in that hospital take sterility seriously?  Maybe Willis was hallucinating the entire episode.

Sevetti gets a win, but loses the girl.  How, er, um, typical for television.

Angus, I hear there's quite a lot of promotion potential in the fast food industry.  I'm not holding my breath, but there had better be some repercussions from his conduct.

The good news is that next week is the last episode in this case.

Otherwise, he's been nothing but an obnoxious character that shoved his camera in people's faces and got in people's way.

Who knows how much he hallucinated looking back, it could explain away some inconsistencies.

Yes, I'll miss some of the actors too.  As for the writers ... cue the helicopter!

Actually, it's a plane, isn't it?

So was anybody surprised that the one soldier was a hallucination? Anybody? Anybody?

In the previews last week, when the general said, "I'm placing you under a 72-hour psych hold," it was so obviously edited to split the word "arrest."  I figured it was going to be "I'm placing you under arrest," but I wasn't sure at first where the "....72-hour psych hold" was going to come into play.  I started to suspect it might be the other soldier due to his hand injury (maybe self-inflicted).  But then once he started popping up EVERYWHERE, I knew he wasn't really there.

The writers and I are not on the same wave length -

- They want me to feel sorry for video doctor because his father is a jerk and that I should be happy that the other doctor sees the potential in him and inspires him - meanwhile, I am just wishing someone would punch video doctor in the nose.

- they want me to be happy for Mario getting the promotion, meanwhile, I am just wondering when Mario became a great doctor

- they want me to be heartbroken about Mario and Noa splitting up, meanwhile, I am thinking it would never have lasted anyway.

- they want me to be worried about Ariel, meanwhile, I am thinking about what I need to buy for a get-together  we are having this weekend.

So Angus is a neurosurgeon now?

Well, when your incredibly busy hospital only has one or two surgeons on the staff, they need to be well-rounded.

Not surprised that the soldier was a hallucination, but I was surprised that Willis really was at a military hospital.  I still can't figure out when he changed into fatigues.
