I think it was right before Halloween, I remember Sonny going all weird on the trick-or-treater because he first thought it was Morgan or something like that. I remember it took forever for them to have a memorial, November 11th, Carly mentioned the date recently (plus it's the day before my husband's birthday, hence me remembering the date lol).

Everything you mentioned, all those plot points dropped and forgotten, I don't understand how or why they go through all the trouble to make something seem important just to drop it all without explanation and move on to more stuff that makes no sense.

On the spoilery end of things, I keep hearing/reading all these tidbits about the possibility of VM coming back, I don't have any links and the idea of Brenda coming back seems to pop up every year or so but at this point, I kinda hope it's true. Although they'd probably mess it all up and link her to Nelle or something else that makes no sense. I know everyone doesn't love VM and her sleeves, but I'm tall with really long arms so I've always liked her long sleeves because they'd fit my arms perfectly lol

Is there any couple though, that anyone really WANTS to see in any state of undress? Not me.  I don't think there's one single couple the show is promoting that wouldn't gross me right out the door. Even if one half of a couple might be appealing-the other half sucks any hotness right out of any such scene. Nina and Valentin come immediately to mind.  I wouldn't mind JPS bringing some sexy-but MS just.....NAH. WdV isn't a bad looking guy(in terms of physique), but Julian is SUCH a DOUCHE.  If it isn't the looks....it's the attitude. There isn't one single "hot" couple. But in truth, I think GH can only do sleaze, anyway. It's been that way for years. They don't know how to do real romance, I mean, on a show where Sonny and Carly are an "anchor" couple....you can't expect much.

My point was more that, with most soap couples, when they first get together, there is the build to The First Time They Have Sex.  And you can see that with Franco and Liz, and the show is certainly promoting it.  That's why it's so odd to me that Rebecca Budig and Dr. Michael Easton - who the show was also propping like whoa for a while there - didn't get similar treatment.  JMO.

Maybe RBu and ME tried out a scene and it was too awkward to air. It's possible to have chemistry-even romantic chemistry-but have cringe worthy scenes where the two people are making out.  NLG's dog panting comes immediately to mind, as an example. No thankee. Even if I ever *wanted* to ship JuLexis, that killed it.

Honestly, and it isn't just that I hate that the show wasted a May/December possibility with Finn and Tracy-I honestly do think Finn and Hayden exude a "brother/sister" vibe. Or even a BFF kind of thing, like Jarly. I don't really get a "couple" vibe from them...and I feel too much "try hard" when the show gives them that stuff. So perhaps they taped, or tried to tape such a scene...and everyone involved felt like they were watching incest? Or there was no chemistry in that way?

I can't imagine otherwise, why they wouldn't promote them. Having two couples getting those kinds of moments would be something you'd want to advertise, because Hayfinn certainly has fans.

2) Olivia Jerome wants the hospital (...kay?) and Julian helps her with it hoping she'll back off him and Alexis.

Why would OJ become Alexis' sponsor, to scare Julian into staying in line? I don't necessarily think she'd have to do anything other than give Alexis a fake last name. Given how isolated characters can be (and how ridiculous the writing is) it's entirely possible that Anna could find out she's alive while Alexis and the rest of the town are still in the dark.
