pezgirl7 November 15, 2017 Share November 15, 2017 Quote As the exorcism begins, the fate of the foster home hangs in the balance. This is an adversary unlike anything Marcus and Tomas have ever faced, and in order to save this family, the two of them must journey into the mouth of madness itself. SimoneS November 18, 2017 Share November 18, 2017 Oh no, Andy. I thought he was already possessed. He let her in. Have to say that I am worried about Tomas as well. I can't believe we have to wait two more weeks. 6 Link to comment
Straycat80 November 18, 2017 Share November 18, 2017 The demon is winning, poor Andy. I'm worried about the kids. I think Grace or the nature guy ( can't remember his name) should get the kids off the island until the Excorsism is over. I don't want to wait two weeks for the show to come back. 2 Link to comment
RedheadZombie November 18, 2017 Share November 18, 2017 I've assumed for a while that Nikki killed herself rather than kill one of her children. I'm guessing the demon tried and failed on Nikki first. 48 minutes ago, Straycat80 said: The demon is winning, poor Andy. I'm worried about the kids. I think you might mean Rose. They were careful not to say the children were still at Andy's house, but the fact that Rose can pop in leads me to believe they are. Not smart if true. 5 Link to comment

Frozendiva November 18, 2017 Share November 18, 2017 The demon is certainly winning so far. Very clever to distort Andy's reality. So subtle. Of course, the possession wouldn't be announced with heralding trumpets. Find and exploit any weakness he has. The kids with the creepy eyes, the kids 'buried' in the garden. Very smart use of the 'wife' to finally possess him. And him seeing Marcus and Tomas as 'demons'. Well, to a demon, they probably would look that way. Well, with US Thanksgiving and Black Friday, audience numbers would be low next week. 7 Link to comment

Not smart if true. They bring in the kids next week, so they're definitely still on the island. The question is where - if they were staying elsewhere, it might raise suspicion and they talked about not raising attention by calling the cops about Harper's mom. I still don't get the focus on the rock. I first thought it was essentially proof that she was weighing herself down so she's sink but I keep reading about it relation to the demon. 4 Link to comment

Rose said she gave the children a pass on their homework so that’s why I think they were still in the house. 1 Link to comment
iMonrey November 18, 2017 Share November 18, 2017 Showing Father Tomas and Father Marcus as demons is about the creepiest thing this show has ever done. I liked this episode because it focused on the Andy story. I have not been able to follow the Father Bennett story all season long and don't understand why it's even on the show. Link to comment

The rock is small though, I’m guessing the rock is possessed or was suppose to be used to kill one of the kids but Nicole woud rather kill herself than one of the kids. Yup the 2 priests as demons was really creepy, that demon is surely smart. Fr Bennett is a liason priest to the Vatican, he uncovered that the demons were possessing the priests/bishops has reached the Vatican and he also found out thru Mouse that demons are possessing the exorcists too so no one could stop them. 2 Link to comment

Yes, Bennett is the connection to the broader story with is that the Church and the world as a whole are in danger from evil. I think that Bennett and Mouse will arrive just as Tomas is about to be possessed or is possessed as he tries to save Andy. Link to comment

One that she used to weigh herself down, and which Andy picked up and saved and obsessed over. It's a constant reminder of her death. I hope Andy throws it back into the ocean at some point. Fable November 19, 2017 Share November 19, 2017 I thought the use of the memories was clever, I'm only sorry Andy ended up giving in to them. I was surprised to see the fish and wildlife guy with Andy when they found his wife's body. It just feels like there is something off with him. I don't think the rock was used by Nikki to weigh herself down. I don't think a rock that size could weigh down a small child. There has to be more to it than just that. 2 Link to comment

Most probably fell out in the water, but that one stayed in her pocket, and finally fell out when they put her body on the stretcher. It looks like she drowned in water that wasn't even up to her shoulders, which I thought was odd. But I guess if she was weighted down, it would make more sense. 1 Link to comment

I too thought the fish and wildlife guy seemed strange particularly at the moment the rock dropped from her body and the camera focused on Andy and then on him. It seems like there should be a reason for that camera shot, but it may be nothing but a red herring or I misinterpreted the director/editors intentions. We'll find out soon I guess! 2 Link to comment

PhoneCop November 19, 2017 Share November 19, 2017 Y'all think Peter's there as a distraction for Marcus so he takes his eye off the ball while Tomas is scampering off his demon-induced visions? Hmm. 2 Link to comment
jewel21 November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 I don't trust the Fish and Wildlife guy either, and was also surprised to see him there. It would have made sense for a sheriff or some type of law enforcement to be there when Nicole's body was found, but why was he there? I found it very strange... Link to comment
SimoneS November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 (edited) Peter was there because he is Andy's friend. We saw them talking before. I am not suspicious of Peter. However, I think that he is likely to die, breaking Marcus' heart. Edited November 20, 2017 by SimoneS Link to comment
tennisgurl November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 You could have just called this episode "Poor Andy" and gotten it over with. The poor guy was finally tricked into being fully possessed by the demon. That demon really is a sneaky, nasty thing, isn't it? Using Andy's memories and issues, and then making the priests look like monsters so he feels he HAS to accept fake Nikki. Who knows what will happen to him now? I know its probably a better idea for the kids to leave the island, for their own safety (their foster dad is possessed by a demon who makes people kill their kids), but I think, if this demon is anything like the last one, they might need the kids to help call Andy back from possession. Oh my God, the priests looking like demons was so dang creepy. So was that scene where he pictures the kids chanting about Nikki with those scary eyes, and when Andy "met" Grace in the past. This show is so creepy, I love it. 1 Link to comment

PhoneCop November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 That's what I meant. But I also think SimoneS's interpretation is just as likely at this point. This show is good at keeping us guessing. I know there was no reason for Bennett and Mouse to be in this episode since they're in transit, but I couldn't help imagining them having some insane conversation in economy class ("I didn't think she'd burn so fast...") and freaking out some little old lady sitting next to them. Stormy B November 21, 2017 Share November 21, 2017 Yeah I think Peter is mysterious enough, in a show where we don't know who to trust, that questions are raised about his motives. He hasn't done anything suspicious, at least to me, I just have a feeling he knows more than he's telling. He may be completely innocent, probably is....it's just a feeling! 2 Link to comment

He seems emotionally on the edge and keeps getting slammed by the demons he exorcises. He also has to watch out for Father Tomas, who may have stepped dangerously over the line. Marcus is the old grey lion, still at the top of his game in spite of everything. Link to comment
