omg what I would give ... I wonder if Hannah was like "um it's me Hannah, you cut me cause I'm so fat"  and then did a little twirl in all her skinny glory.  And then she can ask "oh how's megan?  did she lose the extra handles?".  Except I know she wouldn't cause Hannah seems like way nice of a person to do that btchery

I love to loathe Caila.

What I love even more is when someone I love to loathe comes back, shit fully in line, knocking it outta the park, and shutting my ass up while I do a 180 and a happy dance for them. Megan, Amy, Caila. These girls are the ones, to me, that are circling the bowl of my brain, but it's completely within their power to Bring. It. On. I'd love to eat my words. And a pizza. Isn't pizza great?

would SO love to see Caila come back and rock it.  sorry but I'm anti-megan.  I think she's already been treated with special gloves and somehow still made no attempts to shed the weight (or if she has, it's not evident).  And I hate that she's not getting the full wrath of K+J and is still in uniform while they blindly ignore her breaking of the contract.  Sorry but I've had it with people getting special treatments (in life)

Caila looked better on the Stephanie Instagram that was posted on another page.  So...

I love that Whitney said she was a personal assistant.  A surprise really.  An interesting choice considering her time was so limited being with the DCC.

love love love Whitney!  My guess is some rich guy just wanted to be around a DCC and a beautiful one at that so he hired her.  Doubtful she had the full responsibilities of being a PA.  As a former one, I can tell ya I had zero hours to myself and definitely couldn't take time off to go to a game or practice.  But then again, I'm not as gorgeous as Whitney

LOL that would have been great but yeah, Hannah is way too nice for that! To be fair, I know Kelli sees a thousand and one tiny blonde girls and I'm sure they run together.  But Hannah was such a rockstar that first year...!

I know right??  And she picked her out of hundreds for a team of 40 or less so how could she forget her?  harsh Kelli harsh!

Hannah was on the calendar shoot.  Wouldn’t Kelli say something to her either on the shoot or after?  A picture of her was posted with Hannah and other DCC.  Hannah’s stomach was noticeable. The way it was discussed at finals sounded like they were surprised.

Edited by PBSLover

The thing about Hannah, if she had multiple weight warnings her first year and still didn't shape it up, I'm not surprised whatsoever that she was given the boot and that Kelli didn't acknowledge her later. In the office, Veronica seemed genuinely sorry and willing to do whatever it took to get back in shape, but Hannah not so much.

I think people are griping that Hannah, who is gorgeous and a VERY talented dancer, was booted for weight and Megan, who is also gorgeous and a VERY talented dancer, is being given a pass for HER supposed weight gain.  Now, I don't know if their situations are at ALL similar, but the fact that one girl (or a few) are given a pass for weight while Kelli and Judy come down like a ton of bricks on several others for that exact same reason is frustrating and a concern for several people.  Favoritism?  Possibly.  Fair?  Nope.  Weight should be an across-the-board thing.  If it's true that a dancer must remain at the weight she started at (which is crazy because bodies change), then that should be for everyone and no one is exempt except for if they have a doctor's note stating that the girl has, or will, gain weight and the reason.

Now, if Judy and Kelli choose to ignore the doctor's note and deliberately insist that a girl lose weight despite what the doctor(s) say, then the girl has every right and reason to get up and walk out that door without looking back.

I have nothing against Hannah. At her rookie audition, I honestly thought "well, there's your future point girl."

However, I think her attitude clashed with Kelli and maybe others. That sort of personality conflict will get you on the crap list faster than anything. Weight may have been the reason for cuts that was vocalized, but there was a whole lot more tension and weird under current in that room when Hannah was cut.

Once youre on Kelli's crap list, you're done. Hannah was done.

  • Love 5

I wouldn't doubt that personality conflicts could have been the issue, or at least AN issue, as to why Hannah was cut.  Should it have been?  Probably not, but we don't know what might have happened between the three.  It could have been a Chelsea-type situation where Hannah smarted off at the wrong time and got caught.  It could have been a straight-up difference in personalities that just were just volatile when in the same room together.  Regardless, unless the personality conflict was an explosive one and not just that Kelli and Judy didn't like her personally, then I feel Hannah should have stayed on the team.

From what we saw, Hannah was everything they were looking for in a dancer and could be sent out to meet the public without a problem.  Also, I don't think there were any issues between her and the other girls that would cause a problem in terms of team harmony.  If she were bitchy, rude or nasty to the other girls and cause dissension in the ranks, that right there would be a good reason to cut her, but we hadn't heard anything of the sort about her.  Just the opposite, if I remember correctly.  If there was a problem between a dancer and management, then any interpersonal problems should have been left at the door or calmly discussed with a neutral person in the room.  To cut a girl just because you don't like her personally isn't a nice thing to do at all.

If all she had were weight warnings and no other issues, then Kelli and Judy should have to do the same to other girls across the board and no playing favorites.  Either hold all the girls to the same standard or don't.  If Hannah had other issues, then that would have been a good enough reason to cut her.  I'm going to stop here since I'm beginning to ramble and it's time for me to go to bed.

Watching season 7, episode 9 right now (thank you Amazon Video) and at 5:57 in, you can see Alyssa Torres on the far left when they're checking into the resort. Then at 12:35, Kelli talks about "when all 25 girls will be modeling swimsuits." Yes, I had to see it for myself! Thanks @bigskygirl for the info!

To keep on topic, I think that the judges should have cut Hannah at auditions if they were so concerned about her weight. I love her as a dancer but why bring her in if it's so obvious and you didn't even want to give her a solid chance to loose the weight?

I re-watched that episode yesterday and you can also see Kamilah Brett's photo on one of the racks of swimsuits when they are trying them on!

Ok this is just getting mean. Megan looked like she had things very under control - more under control than a few girls, IMO, at the clips of the last game in a normal uniform and in the hip hop uniform.

Hannah has clearly moved on with no regrets and looks great now. I wish she'd stay'd longer, but it is what it is.

Oh, and Sam Finglass - if you don't read this board, someone who knows her PLEASE SHOW HER THIS POST:

Even if you can out dance Misty Copeland, Michael Jackson and the entire Rockette line, you are going to be judged for every single breath you take from here to eternity, if you audition. If you plan to do this, please develop a Teflon skin. Have a Come to Jesus talk with Cassie Trammell. She's been gone forever and people are still butt hurt over it.

If it's worth it, go for it If not, there are probably so really great opportunities with the DCC in management, promos, etc. Brace yourself.

I completely agree with this.  Kelli was pretty horrible to Hannah when telling her she was off the squad.  There is more to this story than what was shown on TV.

A possible unpopular opinion-I personally think the cut scenes are edited to make Kelli and Judy look like they are right in their decision to cut a girl, and to make the girl like bad in a certain way. For example, Amy Caroline in Season 7. The poor girl was sick and was in Urgent Care the day before cameo picture shoot. Her cut scene made her look bad (being robotic/not DCC material.) Her sister came to her defense on Facebook and said her sister was nervous and there was a lot more to the scene than what was shown. I also find it interesting the way they portray Kaitlyn LeGrand problems in Season 6, but they did not want to talk or speculate about Courtney Cook leaving before TC started, and the way Kelli was acting like it was the end of the DCC world. Rumors were floating and still are floating around Courtney was sick due to an eating disorder or might have been taking drugs to lose weight. Did Kelli do it this way because they took some heat from the way Kaitlyn L. was portrayed on the show or to protect the precious DCC image by pretending a girl was not doing dangerous things to lose weight.

15 minutes ago, RazzleberryPie said:

They could also get into some huge legal issues with branding a girl as a substance abuser - even if it is true.

I wonder if this is the reason why they went down this road after the way Kaitlyn LeGrand was being shown on the show after her being called into the office, and her I got pulled over story.

Just a note, I talk mad shit about Her Majesty Cassandra Trammell's obvious nepotism privilege and the fact that her actions have permanently affected the future directives of the DCCs, but I'm not "butt hurt".  I'd bet those that ARE butt hurt are nowhere near this board, but they exist, and butt hurt they should be.

I AM, however, butt hurt over the following:

1. Courtney Cook left due to sad personals circumstances. I thought she was silly and cute and bubbly and dingy and precious and I miss her.

Actually, that's about all the butt hurt going on. I do agree, if/when Samantha and Dayton try out, they should stay away from non-sycophant fan sites. We pull no punches here, it is what it is. Except they'll have to contend with the weirdos on Twitter who decide it's fun to harass them, which is a total dick move to do to these young girls, IMO.

Tell me how Cassie's actions have permanently affected the future directives of the DCC. I'm not following.

I wont argue that nepotism was/is huge, or if she eventually earned her spot, etc. because it's a dead horse and 10 years ago.

If I get butt hurt im coming to sit on your DCC thunderstruck flusher until it passes. See what i did there? ????

They did everything but say the words "she is on drugs." They skated really close with that one indeed.

Kelli did ask her if she was under the influence of something when she came in to talk with Judy and Kelli in the office after missing practice. I admit I do chuckle a little over the rumor Amy Reese got a lawyer so CMT would not show her cut scene in Season 5 because she was allegedly cut for drinking during the calendar shoot  and was ratted out by a few of the favorites. I also love it when family members come in and defend the girls because the viewers are not shown the real story.

I think that what you see as being "butt hurt" are people being opinionated about Cassie.  Yes, people are still talking about it several years down the road because it strikes a cord with them.  Some could be (and have been) opinionated about Ally Traylor or Colby or Amy Simone or any of the girls shown in so-called controversial events.  I personally have VERY strong opinions on Cassie, but I've said enough about her that I've shut up and stopped talking about it.  I avoid talking about Amy Simone because I've stated my piece and that will be the end of it for me for now.

I do hope that the situation that they faced with Cassie HAS helped the organisation make some changes and they SHOULD make some changes.  I suspect they knew they were going to face some criticism over the situation, but not the uproar it caused.  They should look at what happened with Cassie and multiply it several times for Dayton, Sam, and Victoria, should the girls choose to audition, then make even more changes, perhaps even getting outside opinions on the issue (with the appropriate confidentiality agreements in place).  I shouldn't forget crossing their fingers and hope that people don't get as incensed as they did in the past over Cassie.

My thunderstruck toilet awaits your butt hurt, it has helped my Courtney butt hurt. But be careful, it's SUPER WEIRD to see Alyssa, Kaitlin Ilseng, OIivia, Mia, Brooke, Trisha, Kelsi Reich, Sunni and Melissa Kellerman staring at you while you're on the crapper. Not to mention the scrolling e-picture frame. Like, I didn't think that one through......

Wait, Razzleberry pie gets to use the honorary thunderstruck commode?  Ok, so I'm butt hurt over Courtney Johnson's cut 2 seasons ago and the fact that Auto Amy got a few hours before the team was announced this past season AND the fact that Kelli Finglass does not use a professional stylist for her wardrobe choices.

I think you can charge admission from people on this board if you wanted.

I invented the Thunderbowl and then invited my self over to @QuiteContraryMoni's house, so don't feel bad if you don't get a formal invitation. It's in the mail.

I enjoy the show because I've danced my whole life, am out of that world now, but still enjoy seeing others do it at an even higher level. I guess all the drama and repeating the same issues over and over are wearing a little thin on me. CMT should give us more episodes with more performance, so these same old dead horses aren't resurrected and beaten over and over again.

Well it was true. It's only slander if it's made up. Wasn't she arrested for possession of meth last year?

Made up AND she can proved it did damage to her reputation, business, etc.  but that's beside the point.

I think she was arrested more than once for that sort of thing, but that was after she was cut.

This will seem shallow, but her forehead bothers me. A lot.

the whole "ignore Meagan's weight" is really annoying also.

Uhm, yeah. The whole "These aren't the driods you're looking for" jedi mind trick isn't working. And why SHOULD it?! I maintain that the producers and DCC org staff have TAUGHT us what a DCC should look like. From Charlotte's "What are you feeding these girls off-season" to Kelli's "thutt" to Kalina's "She looks like a grandma". And we're assholes for following suit with criticisms and expectations?! NOPE!

Praise, sista, praise!!!

I haven't seen recent pictures of her lately so don't know if she's lost it but given that it's the end of the season ... well, too late baby!

yeah ignoring Megan's weight bugs me, and ugh yeah grading research papers could put anyone in a foul mood, not looking forward to the stack of argument essays I'm going to spend the next two weeks grading.

Not sure if it's an unpopular opinion but I hate that they forbid these ladies from dating a player, they're grown freaking women for crying out loud.

I get the dating rule though ... you don't want a bunch of silly women who see this as an opportunity to score a gig as a trophy wife to an NFL player. You also want these women to be professionals and be thought of as professional entertainers (vs. if the players just viewed them as easy pickin').  I agree that there should be a no fraternizing policy and it should be honored

I can see that though I think you'd sift out the silly ones pretty quickly. Still if they're going to have a no fraternization rule both sides should be punished equally not just the girl. I know I know the boys bring in the money but UGH it's just so freakin sexist

actually I thought it was put in place to protect the girls, not the players - I think it would be an easy jump for many to put undue pressure on the girls (or demand sexual favors) in a way that they might not feel as though they could ignore.  There is a power imbalance there that doesn't favor the girls, and in the end, it has been made clear over and over again in our culture that players are privileged and the cheerleaders (and women in general) are not - even if they are America's sweethearts.

But they're punished by getting kicked off the team if they're caught with a player.

I think that is more than likely to give teeth to the idea of "you can't interact" - it's nothing but empty words if there are no consequences and the rule doesn't serve its purpose to protect the girls if it isn't enforced.
