Yes, it's too bad that she slid down the slippery slope of alcohol/using to medicate herself.  I think she and Kyle would have been more alike today if her first/second marriage lasted.  I think husband #2 and the aftermath of that divorce is what drove Kim off the cliff.  I always wonder if she had a great marriage earlier if she would be in better shape now.  

She was the IT Disney girl, seemed happy to focus on motherhood, then her life went wonky.  Makes me sad and think of Erin Moran.

There's not one person I like on the left couch. And Kim was right to call Eileen and Rinna the Soap Twins, Eileen is so far up Rinna's ass, has no original thought of her own and even copied her smug "bye, bye Kim" with the stupid double handed wave. What an ass, she just made Kim's point. And because twice isn't enough, Rinna follows Eileen and says it again gesturing. Perhaps Conjoined Soap Twins is more accurate, they share the same asshole.

The left couch was annoying parts 1, 2 and 3!  I wouldn't mind Eileen back without Rinna as a sidekick.  Erika would be way more fun if she could learn to warm up a bit and gain some humor.

I'm rewatching part 2 right now and just saw Rinna with her teary closeup...her & Eileen in the dressing room acting like they are taking the high road...when we knew Rinna dropped the coke bomb.   I'm sorry, but I think the bunny return was hilarious even though it was mean spirited to do.  On WWHL last night Andy had the bunny on the set and he was giggling like a preteen. He loved every minute of the return of the bunny.

Well, yes, Kim is a recovering alcoholic who abused alcohol and drugs for decades. I don't know if we are sure that she is drug-free, that may be a work in progress as well, that subject does not get spoken about openly by Kim or her family members. I think drug use was always secondary to her alcoholism. I don't know a lot about brain recovery from such abuses, but the little I know indicates that all is not lost and over time the brain can bounce back to a great extent for many. When compared to what we've seen, Kim is much clearer minded. We also see a socially awkward person. From season 1 we heard about Kim's anxiety in social situations due to isolation as a child star and years later as an adult throwing herself into motherhood and not socialising and never really making many friends. It's not serious for the most part.  The best times I've watched trashy tv were in groups. We'd watch, comment, drink,eat and make merry.  Real life People's Couch.  We used to dress up for what we called Die Nasty night.  That would be Dynasty.  Fancy hats and long gloves with bright red lipstick.  You'd either be called bitch or dahling all night.

I live alone, no one watches this show or will admit to it and I find it fun to read most comments and opinions.  People who post here are hilarious.  I find it a community thing.  I wish I was in college, dressing up in fancy schmancy clothes and snarking on this show in my living room.

Y'all are the closest I can get to that.

Thank you for the clickable link. That's some expensive bag!! I don't even like it 10 thousand dollars worth. I did like the Chanel one but it's certainly not in my budget. My Best best buy (big name designer) was a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes found on sale at Saks in New Orleans for $75. Bought them ten years ago and they are still timeless. I appreciate the search and info you shared.

We did find out that at the reunion Erika stated she was wearing underwear. Guess she was aware of the seating chart and knew that PK would be across from her. I wonder why neither Ken or Mauricio made a guest appearance. They usually do, don't they?

I posted the exchange, the clip, several days ago, and it's still being talked about as newfound knowledge on the last couple of pages of this thread. Not that I think that highly of Kim, but she was married to Marvin Davis' son head of 20th Century Fox and had she wanted to work she could have.  I believe the 1989 movie was one who her ex-Monty Brinson wrote and produced.  (No quality control there.)  I think Kim was pretty lazy living well off child support and alimony for a number of years and she was raising three children.  Kyle recently said after she divorced her first husband she would not take soap opera roles.  I always kind of thought you start with soap roles, but you don't take them after you have made it.  I am sure there are examples to the contrary and I had a hard time hearing what Kim was saying because Eileen kept talking over her.  I always thought what Kim was saying is that Eileen seemed to be in character while on the show, as in she was acting in a soap opera fashion which is generally considered over the top.  I only had the scene with Erika to go by this year and it seemed like pretty soapy acting.

My take away from Kyle was the pay vs. the time was not compensatory. (By their Hollywood standards.)

I should have phrased my post better, she put acting on the back burner after she started to have kids. I can't see Kim balancing an acting career and raising children at the same time. Also, during this time, alcohol and drugs became a problem for her, so maintaining any balance between the 2 would have been impossible.

And if you blink you probably won't. Kyle appeared in a bit role as a nurse in roughly 20 eps of ER's 8-year run (episodic TV at that time generally had seasons of 22 to 26 episodes per. Estimating on the low end, this means there were at least 175 episodes of ER aired.)  Her character usually had 1 or 2 lines, something like, "blood pressure 120/90" or "warming towels ready" or something innocuous.

kyle actually had more camera time and dialogue  as Alicia on Little House on the Prairie.
