Alternate Timelines: Cast in Other Roles

Even though it was a decade ago, I realized I actually vaguely recall the show Angela's Eyes, starring a then very young Abigail Spencer as the daughter of spies accused of treason who has to blah blah blah deal with their treason while making her own way in the world as an FBI recruit blah blah blah. It was a one season wonder, and I vaguely recall was filled with dreadful cliches, but I think it stuck in my mind a bit because Spencer was such a looker.

Supposedly she started on "All My Children" but it looks like she was only there for one year.

Clearly more people would know her from guest runs on Mad Men, True Detective and Suits. She was also apparently a supporting character (but ongoing) on a show "Rectify", which I never saw any of, and was a major part of "Burning Love" (that Bachelor parody with Michael Ian Black) which I've always intended to watch but never quite got around to.

She was also apparently the female lead (next to Daniel Craig) in the movie Cowboys and Aliens, another thing I keep meaning to see but never got around to.

Okay... not really. I confess to be curious about it, but I also recall hearing the movie sucked.

I remember Goran Visnjic/ Flynn as a Sergeant of the Guard holding up a Russian General at a checkpoint in the George Clooney/Nicole Kidman movie The Peacemaker. It was sort of retroactive as a saw him in ER first and the movie later on home video. So it was hey wasn't that him.

I remember Abigail Spencer on All My Children.  Her character was a little annoying.

She was basically Miss Polly Sunshine to everybody...until Bianca told her she was gay.

She played Lisa Wyrick in The Haunting in Connecticut 2: The Ghosts of Georgia, where she was a woman with psychic abilities and a young daughter who's discovering she can communicate with ghosts.

All that talk about how Matt Lanter seems like a model/surfboy is pretty funny, because he got his start on a Bravo reality t.v. show called Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model.

He also pretty much played teenagers/young guys until very recently. I think this is the first high-profile role he's done where he's not playing younger.

I most loved him when he played a parody of Edward Cullen in Vampires Suck.

Whoa, killing time in anticipation of a new episode, I stumbled across the fact that Matt Lanter played Geena Davis' (very good-looking) teenage son in 'Commander in Chief'. I definitely remember liking the looks of that character!

Of course, Matt Lanter was the voice of Anakin Skywalker for years on Star Wars The Clone Wars and was also reprised the role on Star Wars Rebels.

His character work made Annakin a MUCH more sympathtic tragic figure. Kinda wished he had somehow gotten a cameo as a pilot or something in the live action sequels or Rogue One.

I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer today. ER came on afterwards. I didn't have any interest in watching ER, but since I had a lot of delay built up, I didn't turn the channel. It was at the very beginning of one of the many seasons. I happened to notice that Goran Visnjic was on it.

I only watched a few seasons of the early years before I tuned out, This started out at the beginning of one of the later seasons. Episode one and two already has a dreadful baby storyline.

ER is the show that introduced most American viewers to Goran, and we fell in love with him there.  It's why he was such a huge draw for Timeless, and why he's perfect to play Flynn.

His episodes of ER were the only ones I ever saw, until some channel began reairing the earlier seasons last year. I think I started watching ER in season 7?

Goran was also excellent in Welcome to Sarajevo.

I had such a crush on him in ER back in the day. He actually is the reason I started watching Timeless. I remembered loving him as Luka and thought I'd try his new show when it was announced that he'd be on Timeless. So glad I did.
