Trying to research some of these girls...I have to say Whitney is becoming one of my favorites!! She is just too stinking cute.  I'm afraid she may struggle a little but fingers crossed because she seems to be such a sweet girl.  And omg...longest legs ever!!

Don't be mad, Auto Amy is there for the cameras. I firmly believe that, just like Tasha and Emily Roslyn, Amy will make a juicy cut and drama for the show. I don't believe they're serious about any of these three. Kelli has no personal allegiance to TCCs and has shown me that they'll bring girls in for show drama. It's the nature of the beast of reality tv.

What make you think Whitney will struggle? She's a former Rangerette and clearly goes to a lot of classes at night. She strikes me as poised, disciplined and talented- I see her being a long-time DCC and probably a leader on the team and on the field!

I adore Amy Simone and nothing about her says "attitude" to me. She has transformed her look and body to try to make this team. I don't think Kelli brought her in to cut her I think 14 judges voted and enough of them saw DCC potential in her to give her a chance to earn it.

That Tasha looks like she could be trouble, and also I bet someone slips them some dirt on her. She just reeks of trouble. SHE looks like she has attitude!

Ally (in the pic with Jenny) strikes me as a pot-stirrer. Some girls commented after panels that she was trash talking so much about the DCC process. I bet she's going to turn out to be "locker room poison!"

Just some of her dances seemed kind of weak to me BUT I certainly didn't watch all of them and I know a lot of those are just for fun. Trust me, I'd LOVE for her to rock camp and make the team! There is just something about her I love! 

I was kind of eh about Amy after last year BUT I thought she recovered from it well, moved on to another team, and kept her practicing on the DL.  I will honestly be ticked if they brought her in just to make a dramatic cut.  I would like to see her do well. 

How do you know Ally C was trash talking the DCC process? That seems so odd...but we don't have to worry about her. That is not the Ally that made it, at least I don't believe so.  The Allie that got in is Holly's friend.

I would guess girls would be suspicious of that, because so many of them are pageant girls or come from other pro teams. I would think it's kind of the opposite, I'd think CMT producers need to really build trust and get these girls to open up, and that's why some of the girls seem "blah" and others are bold and show who they are. Maybe the girls who show the most personality and honesty found some trust in the producers and the ones who are more reserved and repetitive just can't let it out for the cameras because somehow they're not connecting with the producers. That show is there to document the process, not manipulate it. they're producing a TV show, but I highly doubt Kelli and especially Charlotte are letting them "produce" the actual team.

Yes Jersey girl that is what Kelly called her. She and another petite girl were cut at finals the next year.  They both looked pissed.

Regarding Allie/Ally- Ah! You're right, well then, problem solved! I know some of the alumni that were there running the panels process and they had their eyes on her.

Ahh gotcha...I would never guess Ally C was a trouble maker! Of course I am judging only on pictures lol but she looks so young and innocent! If anyone reported to judges that she was trouble I would think that could factor in...I hope it didn't hurt Jenny's chances at all.  She worked so hard!

If Shelbi really wants this, the best thing she can do at this point is to try out for a team that has regular performances. She needs to dance dance dance and work on retention, execution, and showmanship. I don't think she's getting that from Texas Star Dancers. From what I can tell, they don't seem to do much, and most of what they do do is appearances rather than performances. (I cannot for the life of me figure out why they have a calendar.) I don't think Shelbi is good enough for Mavs, DStars or even AAIA. But maybe one of those minor teams like Sidekicks, Revolution, or Legends would take her.

This. So this.  I think Shelbi is stunning and when she knows what she is doing, she's fun to watch. But they identified her biggest weakness last year as memory and she even said she isn't used to learning tons of new choreography. Such a stark contrast to girls like Kelsey and Amy and Kelli Q who took a million classes this year.

Yeah, Kat is not bothering me at this point with her retweets.  I think she is being mature about it and she's obviously got to be devastated. 

I honestly don't think Caila will address it. Ashley Pro and Jasmine NEVER addressed getting cut on their social media. They just moved on and by the time the show came on they were involved in other things so people asking about it was like whatever. How far is Sunnyvale from Dallas? I wonder if Caila will just want to move home for a while.

I liked Ashley, and when she was cut I sent her a tweet saying I'd miss her on the squad. She answered by favoriting my tweet. I didn't expect any acknowledgement, so that was nice. Ashley may have done her "thank you's" in a different manner than openly.

Jasmine was the same - I had tweeted her about going to miss her on the squad and wishing her well and she favorited it...I just meant they didn't write a long post about moving on the way Breelan did (and I thought hers was very classy and mature the way she presented it).  I don't think there is a right or wrong way to 'move on.' I am just speculating on whether Caila will actually address it or move on to her next thing. Honestly tho from her Twitter it REALLY sounds like she had a feeling the end was near.  I am so curious about her interview now...

I'm interested to see how in detail they go about vet cuts. Some seasons Kelli is on camera saying exactly why but other seasons, their name isn't called and that's it. I wonder how much info we'll get about Kat and Caila

True.  She was a TCC.  

Her pic on that chart is so pretty.  It's interesting how some of those quick photos of the rookie candidates are better than the professional cameos of the vets!

I'm sure everyone will disagree but I don't think she's that pretty. She's obviously got the bod and the hair and makeup and all that but under it all, I don't know. But I think some others are gorgeous that others don't so what do I know!

As for the DCC/other teams thing, I always thought the same but it's obviously something I do with being prestigious.. "4 of our girls were good enough to make the DCC finals/training camp/our alumni went on to DCC" etc. I feel like Vivian would be so good as a DMD, I can't be alone on this?

They don't give out the Barbies until the first night of Training Camp.  That hasn't started yet.  They just announced who made it in to TC last night.

I thought it was really interesting that Jenn choreographed her solo, I didn't know they had vets help them out.

I like to root for the underdogs so Auto Amy will probably be on my hopeful list.  But her kicks appear to be very low in her solo.  The girl posing with her husband--no.  Too pageant-y or something.  Kelli doesn't like "pageant" answers either.

Why is S1 and S2 just "gone?"

Wow! I didn't realize they were allowed to do that but hey, I guess why not?? I know Jennifer is supposed to be amazing with choreography...need to get Amy to post this solo at some point! 

I take that as another sign of Amy really taking criticisms last year and trying to up her game...her solo last year was a mess at Kitty's and then the costume yikes...this year, she went to a great choreographer who knows what the DCC judges like and her costume has SUPPORT lol (I really do think it's a cute costume! great colors)

I know exactly what you mean!! There is nothing really bad about her or her IG page but just...something is off or makes me like uhhhh. I don't know exactly what.  But I have a hard time seeing Kelli being really for her.  Who knows though - she may be an incredible dancer - I haven't seen enough of her dancing to know for sure.  And maybe she is truly a super sweet person and had a great interview? She may very well be adorable. That's the problem with Instagram- it projects an image.  My Instagram is full of pictures of my kids and the occasional shot of me with my husband or my kids. So from my account, you'd derive that I'm a family person whose main focus in life is my family. Tasha's Instagram just seems so over the top, look at me, lots of fake hair, overblown photo shoots, bikini shots, with a smattering of kid/husband shots where she is still dressed to the nines. 

IDK. I get a weird feeling about her. But- I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and I'm excited about watching her on the show. Everyone deserves a chance!

It is the writer from Ultimate Cheerleaders who added the previous dance details, so not from DCC. I appreciate her jogging my memory about former finalists.

Kat is so classy and gracious. Makes me even sadder that she got cut. She seems so genuine, mature and such a great ambassador for DCC! I thought she was cute as a button. Reading the comments on her Insta post makes me think that she had rough feedback all season (vet Jen Amburn's comment about "enduring" so much)...I dont think her solo was the kiss of death. Other vets have had light, airy solos (like Kinzie), but showed their power elsewhere. 

 

speaking of Jen Amburn, cannot BELIEVE she choreographed auto amy's solo. ick. sorry for Amy lovers out there. her desperation just ruins her for me.

When you look at that pic of the vets together, wow does the DCC need blondes.   Tall thin ones too.  The only current vet even close to sporting the signature tall thin blonde look is Kashara, and I bet she's still on the short side, just not as short and thick as Amy T and Melissa.   The two girls they just cut were blonde too!

I'd say for any blonde TCC over 5'5" a spot on the team is theirs to lose at this point ;).

Of course they could always makeover someone to be a blonde if they really wanted to - they just don't seem to do that though.

I think the DCC is lacking in terms of black girls on the team. It used to be so much more diverse and now they have like 2. The blondes I can do without cause it's just a hair color and that can always be changed.

I wonder if Melissa will be called out for her mid section because she looks soft in the video. I chuckle at the girls who say they have been working since they were four years old to be a DCC. Talk about wanting to say the right thing to make Kelli, Judy and Charlotte happy.

I personally love Tasha and her look. She seems sweet and a great mom. Agreed with the poster who said that DCC needs more tall and thin blondes. 

They also need more glamour girls, and I think Tasha fits the bill.

I think Kelli, and especially Judy, go by skill, not by a desire to vary the squad demographically. Like players, candidates are added by their skill. And yeah, some years DCC has had more obvious ethnic variety, like in the late '90's. early '00's there were more AA ladies than now. There were also more blondes too. But there's more to diversity in ethnicity than dark/light. Last year there were 3-4 girls of Asiatic-influenced ethnicity, plus a couple of Eastern influence (I thought Mary was Persian-American. Could be wrong...). There's a whole wonderful plethora of variety out there in the world! I hope girls of all varieties and backgrounds continue to be interested in auditioning.

I could totally see her..  Well I can see many of these girls end up on the Bachelor franchise.  The DCC type and the Bachelor type are very similar.  Just look at Melissa Rycroft and the Twins.

Maybe Judy goes more by skill, but there's a reason they group the finalists by hair color and skin tone during the field performances in finals. Their casting is far from colorblind.
